About this property

As with any metropole, Paris is a city composed of neighborhoods, called 'quartiers'. They each have their charm and personality. Matignon Terrace is located in the prestigious 8th Arrondissement, the heart of the capital. Our neighborhood is famous for its elegance, luxury and security. It includes within its borders the Elysées Palace, home of the country’s president (a two block walk from the apartment.) It is a short ten minute walk to Avenue Montaigne, or the Champs Elysées, which many consider as being the most beautiful avenue in the world.

What a pleasure to walk out of the door and have the elegance of Paris at one’s feet!

The apartment is located on the Faubourg Saint Honoré, the home of the great fashion brands - the flagship stores of Hermès, Channel, Cartier, Saint Laurent, Gucci, Prada, Lanvin, Valentino, the Place Vendôme with its prestigious purveyors of jewelry.

Matignon Terrace, is just across the street from the luxurious, six star 'palace', the Bristol Hotel. It is a large, comfortable space, equipped with essential conveniences, at a fraction of the Bristol's stiff prices. Of course, nothing prevents a visitor from crossing the street to have a drink at their bar, or a meal at one of their celebrated, Michelin-rated restaurants.

The interior of Faubourg Terrace Modern was designed by Christian Biecher, one of France’s leading architects - and the talent he lavished on every detail is evident everywhere. The apartment was featured in World of Interiors, Marie Claire, Architectural Digest, and a host of other specialized publications.

On the first floor above street level (in an elevator-equipped building), one is greeted by a salon with large windows opening onto a terrace. The exterior walls of the apartment are made of translucent glass. The concealed track-lighting is controlled by dimmers. A small efficiency kitchen contains a microwave oven, an induction stove top, a dishwasher. A Miele washer and dryer are provided for the guest’s laundry needs. The bathroom has a large shower booth, à l’italienne. The master bedroom offers a large, flat screen, high definition television with a fiber optic connection (which also means high-speed wifi connections) as well as a seating area, a modern, centralized stereo system, with built in ceiling speakers, brings sound to each room. A smaller bedroom offers modular twin beds, that can be joined together if needed. The apartment is furnished with several, comfortable, leather armchairs and a leather couch.

Matignon Terrace is situated in the heart of one of the most elegant neighborhoods of the Gallic capital. It provides everything necessary for a comfortable and rewarding stay. A great space in a fantastic place!

This is a great apartment located in a prime position in Paris. It is just around the corner from the Le Palais de L'Élysée with numerous shops, restaurants, cafes and bars all within a 5 minute walk. Due to the proximity of the Le Palais de L'Élysée, there are armed guards at every corner for a couple of blocks, so we never felt insecure at night, quite the opposite in fact! The apartment itself was presented to a reasonably good standard, although we did find some left over items from previous occupants in the drawers including underwear in one of the bedrooms and a razor in the bathroom, hence the average score for cleanliness. The two bedrooms are both of a good size and the beds were comfortable too. Temperature was never an issue as the whole apartment has air conditioning. The television shown in the pictures of the main reception room wasn't there when we stayed which was a bit of a shame as we would have liked to enjoyed watching some TV together on the comfy settee, but this wasn't possible. The shower room was OK in size, the shower had good pressure and there was always plenty of hot water. Noise was a bit of an issue due to an adjacent apartment being renovated late at night but that won't last forever. John-Paul was a fantastic host and sent through very detailed instructions regarding access to the property and operation of the facilities. All in all, it was a great space in a fantastic place and we would definitely stay here again.

Generally great location, property is smaller than suggested by the pictures, but it sleeps six very tight, four comfortable, and the apartment is worn in various places, but overall it served its purpose and the property manager is very responsive and helpful, I would return

Wonderful apartment in great location

Loved this appartment. It is spacious with two good sized bedrooms and had everything we needed. The location was perfect and was within walking distance to many of the locations we wanted to visit and also to some lovely places to eat. I would have no hesitation in recommending and it would be my first choice to stay if I return

Nice stay at Paris

Everything was good and the flat met our expectations. Except one little thing that the owner should be aware of that the smell of the bed sheets was not nice and there should be a kettle in the kitchen for heating the water.

Location, Location, Location

Accommodations were top notch!! JP was a fantastic host who responded back to any questions I had instantly. As a first time traveler to Paris, we couldn’t have selected a better location! Our family of 3 walked to Army Museum, Tuileries Gardens, the Paris Opera House, the Louvre, Île-de-la-Cite where we found the Notre Dame Cathedral, Saint Chappelle and other gems, with Avenue des Champs-Elysées so very very close by, and of course the Arc de Triomphe. Paris is amazing! Experience it in its fullest by selecting an appropriate location and an attentive host. We will be back!! Thanks JP!!

Directly across the street from the Bristol Hotel, catty cornered to the Ministère de l'Intérieur, two blocks from the President's Elysées Palace, a stone''s throw to the city's most elegant shopping districts and a short walk to most of its important attractions, it is noexaggeration to claim that Faubourg Terrace is ideally situated.

In addition to its superb address, the building is small and cosy. There is only one apartment per floor. The interior was designed by a world-famous architect, and his ingenuity and talent show everywhere. From the apartment's lacquered walls, juxtaposed with translucent glass panels, to its sumptuous parquet floor, Faubourg Terrace personifies modern comfort and elegance..

Faubourg Terrace provides useful conveniences - an efficiency kitchen, a Miele washer and dryer, a built in stereo system, Wifi... etc., etc., etc. With its high style and convenience, the apartment proposes a standard of excellence that corresponds even to the most demanding traveler's needs.
