You can dine outdoors under the setting sun in our magical courtyard or landscaped garden, with soft lighting and scented plants creating a wonderful atmosphere, and feel the Mediterranean breeze gently caress your skin whilst relaxing in the waterfall jacuzzi.
Our seven individually themed bedrooms combine design and comfort, creating a warm atmosphere to make your stay a pleasant experience, and with a variety of double or triple rooms, Casa Rural Ubeda can cater for both the single traveller to family groups up to a capacity of 17, with a choice of Bed and Breakfast or Full House Self Catering Accommodation.
For those who wish to venture out, the nearby town of Pinoso, has many shops, bars and restaurants where you can sample the local delicacies and being situated in the most important wine producing region of Southern Spain, there are numerous bodegas to visit and sample the excellent wines of the region.

Fantastic property in a beautiful rural setting; the perfect get away from it all location

A big thank you to Mavis and Carl for a fantastic 2 week holiday and their great hospitality. A truly fabulous property with everything you need for the perfect relaxing holiday. Wonderful views and a great pool to wind down and soak up the sun. Great outdoor eating and BBQ area gave us lots of opportunity for alfresco dining and a fridge next to the pool was perfect for afternoon drinks. The house is really quirky with so much character and plenty of space for all, we traveled as a party of 11 and had more than enough beds/bathrooms to keep the teenagers happy. With more than enough pottery and cooking utensils to feed an army and a great sized cooker. Would highly recommend to those wanting to sample real Spain. A hire car is a must as lots of villages to go and explore we really liked Monover and El Pinos. Alicante is only 40 minutes away making a day at the beach really accessible. For those with teenage children there is a great water-park on the outskirts of Benidorm which is only an hour away.

Fin de semana con amigos

Muy buena experiencia aunque no sabíamos que los dueños vivían en la casa. Sin embargo, ellos tienen una zona aparte y apenas los hemos visto en todo el fin de semana. La casa limpia y grande, cada habitación cuenta con su baño. La piscina y alrededores es perfecta para pasar un fin de semana con amigos. Agua limpia y fresca. Repetiremos seguro.

Estancia Estupenda

Una estancia estupenda. Fuimos un grupo grande con niños. Las camas cómodas, pudimos usar las dos barbacoas, la zona de la piscina estupenda y tanto Karl como Mavis fueron muy amables, ayudándonos si era necesario. Es una casa rural, con encanto rural.

Désenchantement à l'arrivée!

Propriété atypique charmante, style bohémien avec beaucoup de places à l'intérieur (nous étions 17), piscine top et extérieurs spacieux. Le propriétaire est disponible et sympa. Deux jours avant notre arrivée, le proprio nous demande un acompte pour l'électricité qui n'est pas compris dans le prix, pour nos 15 jours de vacances. A réception du règlement deux jours avant notre arrivée toujours, nous lisons que nous devons faire le ménage de la maison avant notre départ alors que nous avons payé le forfait nettoyage qui ne comprend selon lui que l'entretien de la piscine et des extérieurs!!! La maison était sale, poussière, toile d'araignée, vaisselle dégueulasse, couverts, encore de l'huile dans les poêles et les saladiers, nous avons dû tout laver avant utilisation. Nous avions également payer le forfait linge de maison pour les 15 jours, qui devait être renouveler à la moitié de notre séjour. Nous avons dû réclamer pour qu'ils les changent après 10 jours et ils les ont changer le mardi alors que nous repartions le samedi matin tôt! Les proprios habitent dans la domaines, donc on n'est pas tout seul dans la propriété et ils organisent des soirées poker une foi dans la semaine donc des gens dans le jardin et pièce commune (billard, toilette), que l'on ne connaît pas! En bref grosse déception , belle demeure mais pas entretenu! Trop de forfaits et frais à payer en suppléments, qui normalement font parti du prix de base dans d'autres propriétés et qui n'ont pas été respecté! Plus jamais...

We were happy with our home and lifestyle in the Lake District, but we worked long hours running our businesses and wanted to change our life/work balance
So we decided to sell our respective businesses, a beauty salon, fast food outlet and rental property business, and began to plan a move abroad, with no real idea of where we wanted to be
We decided to combine our skills and run a Bed and Breakfast and for six weeks travelled the length and breadth of the Mediterranean coast, from Portugal to Valencia, looking for a place to start our new venture. Eventually we chose inland Spain as we wanted to immerse ourselves in the ‘real Spain’, far away from the overcrowded coastline.

Why they chose this property

In all we viewed 100’s of houses, and eventually fell in love with an unusual place that had been converted from a bakery, a shoe factory and a bodega.
It was typically Spanish and we liked its quirky character. We could see it had potential for development into a Casa Rural and even faulty electrics, power disruptions and an alarming flash flood on our first day in the property, didn’t dampen our enthusiasm.
From the start we wanted to create something different, where guests could relax and enjoy the property to the full, so we created individual themed rooms, attractive courtyards and a garden full of scents and colour.
We now have a magical place, and a fabulous Spanish lifestyle

We love the garden and being able to be enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and we also love its location, we live amongst the Spanish and have adopted their lifestyle, enjoying each day as it comes
