Disappointing

Property not maintained. Suite in front was occupied- we thought we had the entire property as per VRBO’s ads. Mattress on the floor was one bed - food items left in fridge..Grass not cut, dead flowers in pots, bad communication. Apparently property had a confirmed offer to buy. Was told we had not paid enough one week before even tho’ a receipt was presented showing paid 100% in full a year earlier! Felt we had no choice but to pay an add’l amount at the last minute. Why were we not told sooner??Will not use this host ever again- VRBO NEEDS TO MONITER BETTER - felt we were taken advantage of. Has left a very bad taste regards using VRBO. ( we had SUCH a great time last year in Summerland - so upset)

Awesome space. Less than awesome communication and cleanliness.

Pros. Pool and hot tub were amazing. Great house set up. Central location, but car needed. Close to airport but planes were not loud. Nice kitchen. Lots of room. Lots of different spaces for family to relax in. Con. Lots of food in fridge upon arrival (half eaten and open queso, veggies, fruit, half drank milk cartons, etc.) grease dripping from exhaust over stove. Stuffed animals and toys left in kids rooms. Personal family photos on shelves. Communication with owner was either nonexistent or poor (ex. Received code for front door 4 hours after check in and only after calling VRBO and being on hold for 2 hours. Overall, a great house and the backyard and pool are amazing. Some improvement to the cleanliness and communication and this could be a top notch rental.
