PRIVATE STRUCTURE. The property is immersed in the green, near the banks of the river Po, about 1.5 km from the town of Borgoforte. From the house a beautiful view over the countryside and the bends of the Po can be enjoyed. Not far away stands an old 19th century pump used for drainage and still in action. A short distance from the farmhouse is a beautiful kiln for the production of the typical terracotta of the area, open also to the public. La Cascina, which dates back to about 1400, has three floors and has been recently renovated maintaining the typical elements of the farmhouses in the Mantua countryside: original bricks, sand-lime from the Po, old-looking oak and polished, painted teak flooring, terracotta, marble (Prun stone), mosaic, wooden beams partially recovered from the original building. The owner lives occasionally in one wing of the house, with a completely independent access, but does not interfere in the use of part of the park and of the pool which is at guests private disposal.


the property develops into 3 floors. The main entrance under the portico leads, on the right, into the living room with fireplace and, on the left, to the dining area and then on, through an archway and passing through a hallway, to the kitchen, to the staircase leading up to the first floor, to the reading room and to a further hallway leading to the toilet and to the fitness area with the possibility of using a dressing room with shower. The fitness area leads on to the covered pool through a French window. The internal staircase leads up to the first floor with the first sleeping area composed of a twin bedroom with joinable beds and ensuite bathroom with shower and two double bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom with tub and shower. Completing the floor is an additional bathroom with shower, a sitting room, a games room and the laundry/ironing room. A further staircase leads up to the second floor with two twin bedrooms with joinable beds and a bathroom with shower and whirlpool tub.


The property has its own private garden of about 300 square meters on the solarium and covered pool side, planted with lawn and fruit trees. Nearby are two private outhouses that create a shady, relaxing area. In the solarium area is a table with chairs for all the guests.

Swimming Pool

The covered pool is siuated on the ground floor, under a portico facing the inner courtyard and the garden. The pool measures 15 x 4.5 m with a constant depth of 1.40 m; access to the water is via Roman steps and it is lined with mosaics. The pool is also equipped with hydromassage and a shower with hot and cold water. The pool is open from the last saturday of April to the first saturday of October.
