PRIVATE STRUCTURE. The property, surrounded by olives, cypresses, orange and other citrus trees, is built on one storey in a splendid hill position north of Rome. La Zagara, whose name is inspired by the citrus flower which colours the trees in the park in springtime, was built in the nineties and is today an elegant, comfortable and tastefully furnished villa. The terrace is the first real outdoor jewel of the property: provided with sun beds, table and umbrella it surrounds the house and offers a charming view over the surrounding hills and a unique atmosphere for pleasant alfresco dining. The attractive pool, close to the house, is the villa’s other pearl, enhanced by a small drinking trough which recalls the ones typical of ancient Rome. The solarium area is surrounded by trees and equipped with deckchairs, sunbeds and gazebo, permitting guests to enjoy total relaxation. La Zagara is an excellent property for those wishing to visit the main attractions of the area and central Italy, such as the lakes of Bracciano, Vico and Bolsena, the nearby beach resorts of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Nature Reserve of Veio and, naturally, the incomparable Eternal City, Rome.

Interior

The villa is a single-storey structure. The main entrance, under the portico, leads directly into the large living area. The living room (approx. 40 sq m) is furnished with comfortable divans and TV corner and with a dining table overlooking the view of the surrounding countryside. The living area leads directly into the well equipped kitchen which has direct access, though a French window, to the large terrace; the living room also leads to the sleeping area through an attractive brick arch. Here we find a double bedroom, with adjacent bathroom with hydromassage shower, another double bedroom with direct access to the terrace, laundry area and ensuite bathroom with whirlpool tub. Next to the main entrance is a twin bedroom. The double bedrooms have air conditioning and internet wi-fi connection is available throughout the property.

Park

The park is covered by lawn and is enhanced with olives, cypresses and citrus trees. The villa is entirely surrounded by a large terrace and by a portico which overlooks the pool area. On the terrace are tables, chairs, sunbeds and sun umbrellas whilst in the solarium area is a gazebo furnished with table and chairs and a brickwork barbecue.

Swimming Pool

Open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October, the pool is just a few metres from the house. It is rectangular-shaped and measures 4 x 8 m with a constant depth of 1,40 m. Entrance to the water is by corner steps with the steps lined in PVC like the whole pool. It has chlorine purification and the pool border is paved in tuff. The whole pool area is provided with sunbeds, deckchairs, small tables and gazebo. There is an outdoor cold-water shower and the surrounding trees provide areas of shade throughout the day.
