RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Le Pupille is a charming country house in stone which, towards the end of the 19th century, was an outbuilding of the nearby farmhouse and used as barn and stable. The recent renovations, making use of materials salvaged from the original roofs, drew inspiration from the typical Tuscan farmhouses, with the wooden-beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and simple furnishing enriched with original details, such as the hand-finished furniture: all this creating a warm and welcoming house for guests to enjoy a comfortable holiday. An exciting and complete vacation, involving all the senses, discovering the heady scents of nature, the inviting flavours of good food and wine, the charming scenery immersed in the tranquillity of the countryside, the important artistic and cultural heritage that permeates every corner of this part of Tuscany. Situated not far from San Vivaldo and from Montaione, Le Pupille is an excellent departure point, thanks also to a good road system, for short trips into the heart of Tuscany with the numerous medieval villages in the vicinity, the beautiful little towns of San Gimignano and Volterra, the principal Tuscan art cities like Siena and Florence, Lucca and Pisa, but also the wine route traversing Chianti which, with its castles and villages, forms a bridge from Siena to Florence. The house is located at about 50 m from that of the owners who spend only a few periods of the year there and who can be a useful reference point for the guests to whom, however, complete privacy is guaranteed.

Interior

The house has two floors. The entrance on the ground floor leads to the dining room with open plan kitchen and from here to the sitting room with satellite TV; both rooms have access to the outside through French windows. The sitting room leads to a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower. On the other side of the entrance is the study with two single beds, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower (with direct access to the outside through a French window) and the laundry room. A staircase leads from the entrance hall to the first floor composed of a large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower.

Park

The property is completely fenced-in and covers an area of about 1 hectare. The inner park, planted mainly with lawn with some terracotta-tiled areas, has a variety of tall trees such as the typical cypresses, fragrant eucalyptus and lime trees, chestnut trees and oaks. It is also enriched by a lush flower garden with roses, peonies, irises and lavender bushes which brighten up the atmosphere and fill it with intoxicating perfumes. In front of the kitchen French window, shaded by a large horse chestnut, is an relaxation area, furnished with table and chairs. A few metres away is the outdoor dining area with table, chairs and large umbrella, the ideal setting for alfresco meals in a relaxing, serene atmosphere.

Swimming Pool

The pool is situated in the inner garden of the property and is completely enclosed by wire netting and a laurel hedge. 5 meters from the house, it is situated on the same level and is reached through a passage covered by a romantic wrought-iron archway surrounded by climbing roses. It measures 14 x 7 m with a depth varying from 0,60 to 2,20 m. The pool is lined in PVC, it has a ladder for access to the water and a diving board. The purification plant is chlorine and there is internal lighting. The 160 sq m solarium area surrounding the pool is paved in Florentine terracotta and is provided with sunbeds and umbrella; for those seeking the shade, a wrought-iron gazebo covered in climbing roses stands at one side of the pool. The pool is equipped with an outdoor cold water shower and is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October.
