RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Villa Margaret dates from 1700’s, situated nearby the little hamlet of Corciano, only few kilometers from Perugia. The oldest part of the house is a spectacular tower dating back to 1600’s which was originally used as control point in the case of fires in the surrounding grounds. The entire property was completely restored in the 60’s and recently renovated only a few years ago, providing a welcoming and enchanting atmosphere. The architecture of the structure, the valuable furnishing, the panoramic tower, the original winter garden, the fitness centre and the wide park area ensures that Villa Margaret is an earthly paradise for those who are looking for tranquility and peacefulness. Nature lovers can enjoy pleasant excursions to the nearby Lake Trasimeno, the art lovers can easily reach the famous Umbrian art centers like Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Spoleto. The Tuscan hamlets like Montepulciano, Pienza, Chiusi, Cortona and the famous Italian towns like Siena, Florence and Rome are also within a short drive. In an isolated section of the property’s ground floor, lives the caretakers, a very discreet young couple who take care of the house and are responsible for the maintenance of the pool and the garden, respecting the complete privacy of the guests.


MAIN HOUSE: Villa Margaret is on four levels. The main entrance is on the ground floor composed by a living room with fire place, dining room, study/library, kitchen with fire place and barbecue and service bathroom. From the ground floor via a large internal “cotto” staircase to the first floor made up of three double bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom with shower. Via an internal wooden staircase there is access to the second floor which is actually an attic composed by a double bedroom and a little twin bedroom with a low ceiling suitable for kids and a bathroom with shower. From the ground floor another “cotto” staircase leads to the basement floor where there is a secondary entrance which leads in the parking area and to the dependence where the caretakers live. On the ground floor there is a large glass back-door which opens into a heated winter garden, totally closed with big automatic scrolling glass windows which can be opened during the summer time. Here can be found the swimming pool, half of which under the veranda and the other half outdoors, the service bathroom area is equipped with shower and a corner bar. From this veranda through a “helicoidal” shape staircase is accessible the fitness centre composed by a gaming room equipped with table tennis, ping pong, gym area, massage chair, sauna, bathroom with shower and changing rooms. From the fitness centre a staircase leads to the wine cellar where is possible to enjoy wine tasting on request. TOWER: The tower is situated around 50 meter from the front of the villa. It is made up on three levels. The main entrance is situated on the intermediary floor and it is composed by a double room with en suite bathroom with shower. Through a wooden staircase is accessible the second floor made up from a living room with open fireplace and a corner kitchen. On the tower’s ground floor with direct access from the garden is the billiard room.


Villa Margaret’s park area it is one of the only parks where it is still possible to admire the original project of the well know landscape architect Pietro Porcinai. In the 3 and half hectare of park it is possible to distinguish three different area. The front area of the property is enriched by a large variety of bushes which frames the wide English lawn from which stretches to sky impressive Acacia trees and ancient Indian paintbrushes. The back area of the veranda is embellished by Mexican plants, climbing plants and a charming lake with nymphs’ and other aquatic plants. The third area is the path way which leads to the tennis court and is the most typical area being ornamented by cypress, olive groves and old pots which once were used for storing olive oil. Swimming Pool

Open from the last Saturday of April to the last Saturday of October, the pool is in a part inserted inside the winter garden and the other part is outdoors. The rectangular shaped swimming pool measures 12,50 meters x4 meters with a depth which goes from a minimum of 1,50 meters to 2,60 meters. The pool entrance is via steps and the water purification is using salt. In the pool area there are sun loungers, chairs and tables. Not far from the pool area, in a corner of the garden there is the heated Jacuzzi. The pool is also equipped with a bathroom, shower and changing room.
