About this property

Country Charmer hidden in Green Valley just north of Santa Clarita

Nestled in the hills between Santa Clarita Valley and Antelope Valley is the small town of Green Valley. Come sit under the large oak tree or belly up to the dirty dog saloon. We have badminton, cornhole and other games to keep young and old entertained. The master is huge and big enough to call a suite with an antique piano ready for your creative piano playing. The other master also has a king size bed. Upstairs in the loft there is a futon bed and a trundle bed with two twins.. A great place for the kids to sleep or play.
The back bedroom has its own porch entrance and a freshly updated bathroom just outside your door. On cold nights it is easy to stay warm next to the Parlor style pellet stove while summer nights sit back and watch the hummingbirds while enjoying the view from the spectacular porch. Yes we do also have central heating and A/C. A truly relaxing place to enjoy stars and quiet atmosphere. Because of our location, THERE ARE NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED IN GREEN VALLEY AND THE NATIONAL FOREST.

This place met all our expectations and more. It is beautiful and relaxing. The hosts were very accommodating as well. We loved being in a remote area with all the amenities of home.

About the host

Host profile image
Alesia and Craig have recently retired. Craig is a retired animation artist and Alesia from real estate sales. We enjoy camping, boating and tinkering with our homes so they are always getting a new touch of love.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I would ride up to the Rock Inn during weekends and wonder, can we really live up here. Two years earlier we had put an offer on a home up here and 15 minutes before the owners were to sign an all cash offer came in and our dreams were dashed. It took me two years before I even wanted to look up here again. One day we decided to stop and check out this home. At the time we were also contemplating a restaurant in Kernville. Craig ended up with spinal meningitis so everything was put on hold. While recovering my second father was visiting and we told him about the home. He thought the home was a better idea then the restaurant. Since Craig was still recovering from the morphine, he said yes and allowed me to make an offer. I loved that the home had such a nice yard and a two car garage which we had never had and is now the the Dirty Dog saloon. And of course, The long porch and the huge oak tree was a selling point.
Being from the city it took me awhile to distinguish nature noises. With time, silence was golden.

What makes this property unique

The big oak tree and the long porch were my favorite part until Craig built the Dirty Dog Saloon with the huge koi pond. Now we have plenty of choices as to where to sit.
I also love all the wood inside and the parlor pellet stove.
