Casa dos Mangues is nested in a quiet slope overlooking S. Martinho do Porto's valley, terraces, buganvilias, and fruit trees frame our swimming pool.
Our Red cottage is fully equipped and has two bedrooms, a kitchenette, a bathroom (with bath and shower) and a living room with fireplace and sofa bed. It is traditionally decorated with beds in iron/wood, comfy mattresses and cozy duvets; have a fully equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace, cable tv and wifi, private terrace (barbecue available). It is nested in a quiet area of the property, hammock in front of the terrace overlooking lush green valley. Away from the mass tourism areas, Casa dos Mangues allows you to enjoy your holidays in a quiet and beautiful rural countryside just 4 km away from the lively town of São Martinho do Porto.


## Space

From our three rural cottages you can choose between a one bedroom (2) or two bedroom (1), having the maximum capacity for 3 and 5 people respectively. Our two bedroom cottage (we call it Red Cottage) is traditionally decorated with beds in iron/wood, comfy mattresses and cozy duvets; have a fully equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace (if you are coming during christmas!), bathroom with shower and tub, private terrace (barbecue available) cable tv and wifi. The cottages are set away from the mass tourism areas allowing you to enjoy your holidays in a quiet and beautiful rural countryside just 4 km away from the lively town of São Martinho do Porto.

## Access

All guests have access to the pool where they'll find their own chaises longues. Wandering through the garden you might find a hamac to read a book under a pine tree...

## Interaction

We are a family of 3 (Sadia,Bernardo and our son Zakaria) living in the main house, which means that we're on hand to help you as and if you need.

## Neighborhood

Casa dos Mangues is located on the outskirts of São Martinho do Porto bay, arguably the most charming side of the Silver Coast. Short drives from here will take you to Nazaré with its surfing waves, the fishing town of Peniche the medieval town of Obidos, the impressive Covent of Tomar, the Fatima Sanctuary and the historical monasteries of Batalha or Alcobaça,
By foot, you can track down to the wild beach of Salgado or let yourself wander through the valley's pedestrian tracks. For a day trip, take the boat to discover Berlengas Islands creeks. The magical caves of Mira d'Ayre are not far and if you feel like hopping to Sintra, Cascais or Lisboa, they're all an hour's drive away.

Watersports like sailing, kayaking, jetskiing and scubadiving at seaside towns nearby. Top Golf courses and horse-riding in the Obidos region, a 30 mins drive. Hang-gliding, Paragliding and mountain-based activities (rafting, canyoning and climbing) all based in Montejunto's mountain, which you can see on from your own terrace.

A number of local restaurants are available within a 5-minute drive from Casa dos Mangues, most serving traditional Portuguese meals and flavours. The São Martinho do Porto bay area is an 8-minute drive away and has a supermarket, local market with fresh fish, fruit and vegetable and plenty of seafront cafés and bars.

## Transit

A car is convenient and there's plenty of space to park. Some of our guests come by bus and we pick them up from São Martinho do Porto's bus station, 4 km away.
Lisbon International Airport is a 68-minute drive from Casa dos Mangues.
