Peaceful apartment close to centre of Galway City
Silver Heron apartment close to the centre of the city but in a quiet area within 10 minutes walking distance of the city centre was ideal for my wife and I in early June this year. The apartment is part of a crescent of old style town houses that has been converted for self-contained holiday rentals. There is a separate comfortable living room and the kitchen is far better equipped than we are used to for rented apartments. Not only that, but there was an ample supply of food, coffee and so on provided in the original cost, to keep us going for the first day or so. After that we found a good supermarket very close by. The bedroom was comfortable, and the separate bathroom is fully equipped, including washing machine and tumble drier. Parking is usually a problem with any city centre apartment, but here there was private parking available at the back of the apartment's block. All in all a most satisfactory place to stay, we would certainly rent it again and would recommend it to friends. Alan & Margaret, from Edinburgh

A wonderful time !!!
Everything was perfect! I stayed in this apartment for 6 weeks and felt at home. Location was close to the center and everything was within easy walking distance. Cathy Morgan welcomed me warmly and looked after me during my stay. I'll definitely go back to Galway and rent another apartment with Cathy Morgan. Thanks for the wonderful time with you Cathy;) :)

Ideal Independent Lodging & Neighborhood Location
My stay at the Silver Heron Apartment was truly wonderful and so relaxing. Everything I needed to know about the apartment from top to bottom was neatly organized in a Welcome binder—from how to use all appliances/heaters/electronics to suggestions for exploring the city. The apartment was stocked with various toiletries, a vase of fresh flowers, a big bowl of fruit, and a Welcome Basket of groceries. So thoughtful and inviting. I was there for 3-weeks and it was quite literally a home away from home. Spotless, comfortable, safe, & cozy, with every amenity at my fingertips. It’s also conveniently close (5-min walk) to restaurants, grocers, pharmacy, pubs, & live music venues. A 10-min walk to city centre. The property owners take great care in making sure this apartment has every modern convenience, is easy for you to maintain/navigate, and that you feel welcomed within it. A perfect stay.

One of the best flats we've ever rented
We absolutely loved staying in Galway at this flat. We were greeted with a large basket of fresh fruit and another large basket of assorted crackers and cookies. There was milk, butter, eggs, sausages and bacon in the refrigerator, graciously stocked by the owner Cathy. The kitchen had everything you needed to prepare any meal and this is rarely the case in the many flats we have rented over the last 25 years. The flat itself was very clean, the bed comfortable and the kitchen and bath very up to date. It was great to have a parking spot behind the flat and off the street. We were close to the center of town and walked there several times. Takes only about 10 minutes. We had dinner one night at Oscars close by. It was just about the best seafood meal we've ever had. Did a takeaway pizza one night from a place 4 minutes away. Sorry, can't remember the name. But the owner is Italian as is most of his staff and the pizza was as good as the pizza we use to get in Milan when we lived there. The owner, Cathy, is a delightful woman and we enjoyed talking to her immensely. Recommend this flat? You bet. Don't hesitate if you are in Galway and I certainly would consider any of her other properties.

We've enjoyed many travels ourselves over the years and stayed in many hotels. Often great but sometimes misery when we would have preferred the comfort & privacy of our own apartment or town house! Putting all this into good practice in our solid and beautiful Silver Crescent Townhouse & Coach House in Galway City, we consistently offer superbly high standards to the active traveller in top notch and welcoming home-from-home environments.

For 1 to 2 weeks and more, we are here - working hard to maintain the things that count – fresh & clean homes, top quality finishes, services & utilities, fine fresh bed linens, duvets & pillows, beds fully made up, fridge freshly stocked with Useful Items, and our Local Guides on where to go and what to do!

At Your Time in Ireland you will quickly settle in to get going with your activities - wonderful trips & tours, activities, explorations, excellent town walks and small adventures - out and about Galway & the West of Ireland!

Why they chose this property

Our top notch short stay options are just 5 mins away from the liveliest quarters of Town yet peaceful and quiet for a great night’s sleep.
Galway City is alive with visitors, restaurants, cafes, and unique traditional Irish pubs and live music and you will have made an excellent choice by staying with us on The Crescent.
Galway is a great town! - the capital city of Connacht is a bustling, lively and creative university city that sits at the end of Lough Corrib and the River Corrib as it wends its way to the Atlantic Ocean. Long a busy merchant town with a serious maritime tradition and backdrop, Galway’s trading history can be seen in town canals, water breaks & salmon weirs, pier heads, and sea-side promenades and walkways, plus rich ancient woodlands that survive in precious pockets around the town.
Our location on The Crescent is part of this older world of Galway going back to the early 1830’s - when trains ran to Clifden, and a tramline ran from Eyre Square via The Crescent to the seaside promenades of Salthill.
Our Town Apartments are located in and elegant Townhouse some 160 years standing, and we do everything we can to maintain the ambience of this lovely old period house accompanied by some beautiful & contemporary touches and features of today.

What makes this property unique

Settle quickly into a perfect and welcoming traditional Irish Townhouse - beds all made up, fridge stocked, and generous Welcome Basket of groceries in place.
