A true gem

The apartment was absolutely what we were hoping to find when we arrived. Danilo was welcoming and informative and his recommendations were spot on! Our accommodation was clean and comfortable and we were only two minutes from the centre of the action - all the restaurants, bars, the fish and fruit and vegetable markets and necessary shops. Also,only five minutes from the cathedral and main square and many other points of interest. We couldn’t get over how quiet the apartment is but yet so close to all the hustle and bustle. Do try and catch a tour of the opera house, Teatro Vincenzo Bellini, it’s amazing!

Spacious well equipped apartment. Located near the Duomo Piazza and many local attractions including the daily market. Host was very welcoming providing lots of tips and recommendations.

Fab apartment in great location

Rosaria was extremely helpful during the booking process, warmly welcomed us at the apartment on arrival and took us on a short tour of the area, pointing out restaurants, markets and places of interest etc. The apartment, in a great location, was immaculate and quiet in the centre of the old town. Spacious air conditioned rooms with high ceilings, comfortable sitting room, a well fitted kitchen, including dishwasher and a powerful shower. We had a lovely holiday, with days out to the coast and of course to Mount Etna. We enjoyed eating out in local restaurants, plenty of choice and cooking the freshest of fish from the local market. Don't miss the local ice creams! We would certainly recommend this property. Chris & Ed Wales, UK

A fantastic stay, perfect host

We had a wonderful albeit short time in Catania at the “Casa di Chiara.” The apartment is spacious, spotlessly clean and has everything one would want. Rosaria gave us a generous gift of wine and paste di mandorle on arrival, but the cupboards are well-stocked with basic ingredients – combine this with the fantastic fresh produce at the market (circa 2 minutes walk) – you may well be tempted to stay in for dinner! The location is fantastic for sight-seeing, and an early-evening passeggiata is a must, Catania is a small but bustling city at times. There are numerous restaurants, cafes and fresh produce shops as well as historical points of interest close by. We also made a trip to nearby Aci Castello where the basalt cliffs are a sight to behold. Rosaria made our stay that much more special. She is a kind, hospitable and generous person, very friendly (and tolerant of my average Italian!) The short walk around the area was a real treat, there is no substitute for local knowledge in showing us the best places and it was nice to be able to get our bearings. We really appreciate all the extra effort Rosaria put in to making us feel at home and welcome. 'Going the extra mile' doesn't cover it. Grazie mille e ci vediamo! Alison, Barry and Grant

Amazing!!!!!!

This was the perfect apartment for our trip in Catania. Centrally located and wonderful. Rosaria made our stay, she was so very helpful, kind and informative, kindly showing us where local markets and restaurants were! We will definitely be coming back again such a beautiful place and the apartment was amazing, if I could give the apartment and Rosaria 10 stars I would! Highly recommend
