Great location, had everything we needed.

A few blocks from the sea, we enjoyed walking through town and visiting the coast of Fife from this location. Spacious, quiet, had everything we needed. We found one small problem upon arrival and the owner was perfectly responsive and all was taken care of. Neighbors delightful. Would stay here again.

Quiet, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and handy holiday house

Overall we enjoyed our stay, and everything we could need was provided. Plenty of pillows and nice big bath towels. We were really just using the flat as a sleeping-place, and so did not spend a lot of time making use of many of the supplied equipment and facilities apart from the wi-fi which was a godsend. The kitchen had everything you'd need and there are plenty of books for all tastes, a stock of DVDs, and the sitting room is very homely and comfortable if you had need to spend more time in the house than we did. We were very lucky with the weather too, though, which meant we were able to get out and about a lot, and get a fix of all the villages in the East Neuk - it's an area we know really well and love.

The flat is very well situated within Crail - walkable to all the shops and eating places, and in high season, the availability of the off-street parking is a big selling point. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Crail has shops for all immediate needs - baker, butcher, fruit and veg shop, pharmacy and two supermarkets - oh and a post office cum souvenir/craft shop, although there was a "For Sale" sign in its window. There are lovely walks along the coast, the beach, and a couple of play parks, and the often-photographed and beautifully picturesque harbour, not to mention the golf course. If you want a rest from driving there is a frequent bus service which will take you to St Andrews in one direction and along the chain of East Neuk villages in the other.

Having read the other reviews we were slightly disappointed that there were some not very clean cups in the cupboard and I felt the need to wash down the bathroom door. I'd also suggest that the toilet seat should be replaced, but other than those small niggles,the flat was perfect for our purposes. We would definitely consider staying in the flat again when we need a fix of the East Neuk.

Perfectly perfect

From booking to our arrival, Lorna the proprietor was amazing with the fluid communication, as I had a few queries prior to booking. The directions given were spot on, the entrance was lovely, and the flat was so spacious, clean and just simply had everything you could possibly want or indeed need from a holiday rental. The walled gardens outside looked delightful, though the weather didn't compliment a closer look other than through the windows.

Thank you Lorna, I have stayed in many home rentals over the years, facilitating golf, and this is right up there with the best.I WILL BE BACK. Thank you

Perfect place to stay

We arrived to a very clean house that is well kept. Everything was easy and St. Andrews is within 20 minutes.

Lovely house in a beautiful location

We had a lovely few days in Craill. The flat was very spacious, well maintained and equipped with everything we needed. The beach is a 5 minute walk away, plenty of shops, take aways and places to eat. Only a 10 minute drive to St Andrews. The neighbours were lovely. We will definitely be back.

Very nice property at the seaside

The property was just as described. Easy to find, surrounded by a garden, lots of space. It was clean, well-maintained, and there was everything we needed. Only a few minutes walk to the sea and the harbour. A restaurant, a food store, a pub, and the bus stop (to St. Andrews, or Anstruther/Leven), are only a 3 minutes walk away. We would certainly stay here again if we travel to East Neuk of Fife next time.
