Fabulous 6 bedroom Chalet with hot-tub in Chamonix

Le Favre is a beautifully renovated 6 bedroom chalet situated in the Les Pecles area of Chamonix. The chalet has been built to take advantage of its excellent position on the south-facing side of the Valley, with double height glazing showing off the wonderful view as well as capturing the sun all year round.

The chalet is spread over three floors, joined by an open, triple height stairway. The main floor has a large open plan living area with huge double height windows overlooking the Mont- Blanc Massif. An open fire provides a focal point for the lounge area, leading to the dining area, and a fully fitted modern kitchen. Glass doors lead onto a large terrace, with comfortable seating area, outside dining table and incredible views up to the Chamonix Aiguilles, Les Bossons Glacier and Mont Blanc. This floor also has a separate WC. The master bedroom, with ensuite bath and shower room, occupies the private mezzanine floor, and also has magnificent sweeping mountain views. On the lower floor there are 5 bedrooms, a laundry room and a large entrance area with cloak room. The 3 principal bedrooms are all flexible, have an ensuite bath or shower room, and open onto a terrace with Mont-Blanc views. There are 2 further bedrooms which share the family bathroom. One of these rooms is a single, whilst the other sleeps three in bunk beds and a single.

There is a hot tub on the side deck where you can relax after a hard day on the slopes and admire the wonderful views.

The chalet is situated in les Pècles, a sought after location on the sunny side of the Chamonix Valley, just to the west of the town centre. It is a pleasant, quiet 15 minute walk (1500 metres) to rue Paccard, Chamonix's main shopping street.

The nearest supermarket is Casino, on the west side of the town centre (10 minutes walk), with the nearest bars/restaurants being le Vert (450 metres) and the Vagabond (1000 metres).

For access to the slopes it is preferable to have a car in this location, but there are regular buses running from Route des Gaillands, a few minutes walk away.

Skiing and snowboarding: Chamonix is one of the world's most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegere, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megeve, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour's drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. For the more experienced, Chamonix has miles and miles of adventurous off-piste, including the famous Vallee Blanche, an 18 km experience from the Aiguille du Midi down to the town.

Summer and the rest of the year: With the draw of Europe's premier natural attraction, Mont Blanc, Chamonix never sleeps. Whether it's simply to soak up the stunning scenery or get the adrenaline pumping, there is plenty for everybody to do all year round. There are a wide variety of marked trails for hiking and trekking; well-maintained bolted routes for rock-climbing; limitless mountaineering opportunities including Mont Blanc itself; an ever-expanding network of mountain bike trails; some of the most consistent thermals for superb paragliding; raging white water rapids for rafting and hydro speeding; cannoning and abseiling down the spectacular valley gorges; golf at the Trent Jones Sr designed 18 hole course in Chamonix, as well as many other top quality courses nearby; the sports centre has an indoor and outdoor 50 m swimming pool and a large grassed sunbathing area, water slides, numerous tennis courts, gym, spa, jacuzzi, the list goes on!

Chalet de standing très bien équipé mais demandant un peu d'attention en ce qui concerne la propreté

Accueil de qualité - Chalet bien situé et très agréable avec très bon équipement (1 cafetière de type Nespresso serait cependant appréciable et un étendoir à linge plus grand serait nécessaire pour les vêtements ne pouvant pas aller dans le sèche-linge) - Un rideau occultant pour chaque fenêtre de toit devrait être installé - Location restant globalement très, très bien mais le ménage devrait être plus précis : encoches dans la table remplies de miettes, luminaires et portes coulissantes de la cuisine très poussiéreuses, toiles d'araignées dans les coins de pièces, joints de douche sales, filtre du sèche-linge à nettoyer, aspirateur sans sac à vider, bouches de VMC sales) - Nous gardons cependant une très bonne impression de ce chalet qui a beaucoup de charme, une vue extraordinaire, est décoré avec soin, présente de très beaux espaces de vie et est très bien équipé - Quelques petits "réglages" lui permettraient de devenir PARFAIT et INCONTOURNABLE -
