Tyddyn Mawr Is An Extended Detached Stone Built Farmhouse With Vast Sea Views

Boasting amazing panoramic sea views across the adjoining open countryside and to the spectacular mountain range of Snowdonia beyond, Tyddyn Mawr is an extended detached stone built farmhouse situated alone on the edge of the scattered rural village of LLaneilian, part of a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, on the delightful North East coast of Anglesey. Positioned within easy walking distance of the popular coastal path and only a short drive to the family friendly golden sands of LLigwy beach, it is the perfect holiday home for both families with children and active walkers/sightseers alike. Consisting of 3 spacious bedrooms (1 en suite with shower cubicle ) and family bathroom including shower cubicle upstairs, two good sized lounges, downstairs toilet, an extensive fully fitted kitchen with eating areas and adjoining conservatory furnished with large dining table and chairs, the property is practically and comfortably furnished throughout, easily accommodating 7/8 guests.

The conservatory door opens onto an enclosed (if required) patio, ideal for barbecuing. The majority of the impressively sized garden is grassed making it a great area for the children to play (there's a good selection of outdoor games available to use including full size table tennis and air hockey) and guests both young and old may fancy having a bounce on the trampoline! With the sun shining on the garden all day long, the less energetic, may prefer to sit and relax in the tranquility of it all, watching and listening to the abundance of bird and wildlife this idyllic setting gives home to. Anglesey has numerous award winning beaches and attractions, all of which are only a short drive away. The coastal path stretches 125 miles around the Isle giving opportunity to walk along cliff top paths and explore deserted coves, Porth Y Gwichiaid (Periwinkle bay) is a small shale cove only a couple of miles from Tydyyn Mawr . There are many places close by to enjoy cycling, boating and fishing (fishing trips go from Amwlch port just over 3 miles away) and with ample room on the drive for a boat and up to 4 cars, Tydyyn Mawr is an ideal place to stay when planning on participating in one or all!

Tyddyn Mawr is a lovely farm house that is positioned in its own lawned gardens with no neighbours and has amazing uninterrupted views across the countryside to the sea , coastline of anglesey , the great orme, puffin island and the snowdonia mountain range.

A Pleasant Stay

An enjoyable week overlooking the Menai Straight with great views. The house has most things you would want and the owners have been very thoughtful in leaving a lot of games, DVDs and books for you to enjoy if raining. Walking down to the coast line from the house can be problematic as the public footpaths are not obvious and the farmers have not made it easy. It would be nice to know a little more of the history of the house. We saw plenty of pheasants and one red squirrel within an hour of arriving! The house is pretty secluded down a long single track road with only an OAP home a hundred yards up the street and a couple of farms down the track other than the owners lodgings above the garage and the static behind the double garage. I found the process of renting very easy and very good communication... recommended.

Lovely property in a quiet location.

A lovely cottage in a very quiet location.

The garden was massive not at all justified by the pictures on the website. There is a smaller one with the trampoline in. There are bird nut hangers and shrubs so you get a large variety of birds visiting. My only suggestion is to take some nuts with you to encourage the red squirrels to visit. The rest of the garden is huge great for the kids and dogs to run round in and secure. There is a gate to the front that only a very small dog (I'm talking tea cup size dog) would be able to get out of. We took our two cats and only the smaller one who is tiny was able to climb through the gaps. There is a gate to the field at the side of the garden but this leads only in to the field which there are cows in. There is a small sitting area with a table for 6 which looks out on to the garden and fields through to the sea. We saw hares in the field next to the house and were fortunate enough to see a red squirrel. We also had larger game birds visiting daily. Whilst here we found that there were usually only around 4 or 5 cars travelling on the road to the front of the house throughout each full day. To the front of the property is the garage and games room with air hockey and table tennis which was great.

The owners have expanded the property and have a annex to the house. They however are not always there and work and live in Manchester. We only met Richard due to circumstances (who was lovely) and did not feel at all that we were being overlooked. The property is to the rear of the cottage and does not impose on your privacy at all.

The bedrooms all had plenty of storage space draws / hangers etc. The beds were very comfortable and huge.

The kitchen was well equipped with all you need. There was plenty of fridge / freezer room. Also there was plenty of room to entertain 8 people with ease.

The living rooms. There are two. One posh one and one universal one. We only went in to the posh one to get DVDs and have a look. It was lovely. We found however with 6 of us that we had plenty of room in just the one that allows pets. The two large sofa's were comfortable and the kids loved the playstation and x box with a large variety of games.

In all we had a lovely quiet week and will definitely go back. It was so quiet with lovely walks from the doorstep. Great for kids and adults alike. My advice take some nuts to see the red squirrels. We will next time.

In a beautiful and secluded situation

Lovely property with incredible veiws from all windows.

We had the most beautiful walks along the Anglesey Coastal Path and discovered that the island is unspoilt and very quiet.The visiting red squirrel entertained us daily and the birds feeding were a joy especially the busy pair of Nuthatches.. We have stayed in many lovely cottages and this is an absolute gem. We would love to return. I want to perfect my trampolining skills! Thankyou Caroline and Richard for sharing your lovely property.

Lovely break

We had a lovely five day break here, it's in a good location with great views. It's a great family home with plenty to do we took our dog who also enjoyed it.

A wonderful house in an idyllic location makes for a perfect holiday.

Add sunshine, amazing views, the resident pheasants and a red squirrel who likes to play on the trampoline your holiday then becomes priceless.

Tyddan Mawr is very much a home from home with everything and more that you need for a very relaxing and peaceful holiday. We will most definately return. Thank you Catherine and Richard.
