A large period stone detached former Farm House of Manor proportions renovated to a high standard, retaining its original features, to provide private lovely sociable areas, in tranquil comfortable accommodation. Private Drive and Gardens, situated down a quiet country lane and surrounded by 17 acres with wild life, gardens and pasture land in the regional parkland of Cotenin and Bession. a great place to explore the Normandy sights. The large Courtyard setting provides ample secure parking for many cars. The ground floor consists of a large Kitchen Dining room with 3 low windows that overlook the grounds, a fully fitted kitchen U shape, with peninsula breakfast bar, generous work space, Range Master cooker with extraction hood, dishwasher, over worktop lighting, and all the equipment that you will need.On the other side of the breakfast bar is the spacious Dining area, with a large table that could comfortably seat more than eight people, the rest of the furniture are quite elegant.

The Lounge is spacious and comfortable, wood burning stove in period stone fire place, oak circular staircase to the 1st floor, French Doors open to the Terrace and gardens, beamed ceiling and decorated stonework, off the lounge is the large ground floor bedroom, there are twin beds, window overlooking the garden, and a glass top door to the courtyard, original tile floor. The luxury ground floor bathroom with full height wall tiling and floor tiles, roll top claw feet bath with shower head, shower cubicle, wash hand basin, heated towel rail, toilet, recessed lighting window view.

The utility room has washing machine, and storage. All arrived at via a large flagstone entrance hall with doors to kitchen, lounge, bathroom and utility room.

The 1st floor has 3 good spacious bedrooms, King size with window overlooking the rear paddock, and 2 twin bedrooms overlooking the courtyard, all of the first floor windows have locks, and the bedrooms have ample furniture. The first floor bathroom is luxury and large, with full height wall tiling and matching floor tiles, corner bath with shower head, shower cubicle, toilet, bidet, hand wash basin, heated towel rail and recessed lighting, window with view over the paddocks, Off the landing there is a storage cupboard, all of the rooms in the house have wall mounted heaters, the house is ideal for families or just adults.

The south facing Terrace and Lawn are great for sunbathing and overlook the Paddocks, large stone BBQ, ample Garden Furniture, Shades and Sun Beds all good for relaxation and out door meals, there is a fenced pond at the lane entrance (away from the Garden ) take care with Children.

We have a cleaning charge of 60 Euros and electricity is charged at cost 0.17 cents per unit.

The security deposit of 250 Euros is paid on arrival and returned on departure.

A deposit of 25% at the time of booking secures the holiday, the balance payable 6 weeks before arrival.

The House has WW2 battle, history, the owners hobby is WW2 history, and we have been here many years enjoying the landing and battle sites, and increasing our knowledge, we are happy to give you any information that you would like, on this or other places of interest, we also have local maps to help you find your way around.

The famous landing beaches are just 30 mins away, Saint Michael Mont, Swiss Normand 55 mins drive away, cycling, walking, golf markets and many places of interest are nearby.

Danish family where there for a week and had a wonderfull time.

Everything are kept in a good and cozy condition.

The owners are English, helpfull and very very nice.

The place lives up to everything promised in the add.

Within easy reach are the historic World War 2 landing beaches, Mont Saint Michel, Bayeux Tapestry and many other places of interest. On both the East and West coast of the peninsular there are endless beaches perfect for all ages and many sea side resorts to explore with wonderful restaurants along the way. Utah and Omaha beaches are near by, also Arromanches the allied arrival Port has a lovely beach and cafes, a hill top history cinema also a working model of the WW2 harbour, see the photo in our gallery, and the place to take the coast road that winds its way along the British and Canadian beaches with nice sea side resorts until you reach Ouistreham. Then visit the bridge at Ranville on your way home, Cherbourg has the Titanic experience and Sea World , Agon Coutainville is a lovely near sea side resort with water sports and sailing, where near by the mussels are harvested. Countances is a hill top Cathedral town, the lovely square sits in front of the Cathedral with pavement side Cafés and Botanicl gardens. Pont Herbert on the river Vire at 4 km has Post Office ,Bank with ATM and shops, including a super market, while a little further on Saint Lo the capital of the region is guarded by the imposing ruins of its fortified walls, and has pleasant pavement Cafes and Bristos, also the near large Supermarkets and shops are there. Swiss Normandie is 1 hours drive. There are good street markets around here and many other places of interest including a childrens amusement park.

There are quiet country lanes to explore from the house by walking, or cycling bikes can be obtained from a local hire shop.
