Four bedroomed cottage ( 3 ensuite) with swimming pool

The 12m x 6m swimming pool is shared with the owners of the property, both of whom work.Exclusive acess for guests to the pool is 9h to 12 h and 14h to18h30 , outside these hours the acess is reserved for the owners.There is an alarm but no fencing, children must be supervised at all times by an adult.

The cottage has four bedrooms a living - dining room fitted kitchen and laundry room. The two downstairs bedrooms are, a double bed 160cm x 200cm with en suite bathroom ( toilet and bath with shower ) 2nd bedroom two single beds with en suite bathroom ( toilet and bath with shower, down two steps ) There is a separate downstairs toilet in the laundry room. Upstairs there is a huge bedroom with a large double 160cm x 200cm with en suite ( toilet and shower ). .And an additional children's bedroom with two small single beds.

The fitted kitchen is fully equiped and includes dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, extractor fan, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, electric toaster. The laundry room is down three steps and includes a second sink, fridge freezer and washing machine.

Wifi is provided.There is a large terrace and an additional eating area under a 100year old oak tree. The farm has padocks and wooded areas and is surroundes by arable land. The adjoining poney club provides activities for children of 3 yrs and above.

About Jill TRIER

We have been married for 30 years and have two grown up children. We moved to france 20 years ago after leaving hectic careers in the UK with a view to spend more time with our young children and live a saner life. Our farm was partly a ruin when we bought it so we have spent the last 20 years restoring the buildings, along with running two very different businesses. The cottage has provided a great deal of pleasure to my parents for 20 years as their holiday residence. Unfortunately they are no longer with us so we have completely up dated and refitted the Cottage with a view to provide the sort of standard we would expect from a holiday rental. Tam runs a house design and renovation company and I run an equestrian establishment providing lessons , hacks and liveries. Our two children have fled the nest and work in Toulouse.

The location was great not too isolated , shops, doctor, school 5 minutes away, but completely private.Lovely views and enough land for me to develope a horse orientated business.And we are still here !

What makes this cottage unique

The area is full of wonderful villages, fantastic local produce (food and wine) Near enough to the coast and mountains to do a day trip.

Spain is 3 hours away as is the mediterranean.

The buildings are made of local stone which provides a sense of solidity, generations have lived and worked here , part of the cottage is mediaeval. In our modernisation work we have tried to retain the maximum of original features and character but not at the sacrifice of comfort !

The village of Castera Verduzan is 5kms from the farm , with a baker ,butcher, pharmacie, post office, renowned restarant , mini golf, tennis courts and a bathing lake with two water slides, sandy beach, pedalos and bar. The thermal waters date back to gallo roman times and can be enjoyed today in the modern spa complex .Local fresh produce is available from the many markets. Visits to vineyards with ' dégustations 'abound.

The cultural heritage of this region is world famous, chateaux, bastides,churches and cathederals are complemented by beautiful exhibitions including the 'Collection Simonow' at the Abbé du Flaran.
