This beautifully presented second floor apartment in Edinburgh’s Old Town has a communal roof area with stunning views of Edinburgh Castle - perfect for watching the Edinburgh International Festival and Hogmanay fireworks, or for having a peaceful drink at sunset.

Bread Street is a fantastic location in the heart of the UK’s favourite city (Observer Travel Awards 2012). The best of Edinburgh is on your doorstep. World-class tourist attractions, cutting-edge theatres and vibrant festival venues can be found amidst a throng of Michelin-starred restaurants, artisan cafes and leafy parks just beyond your threshold. This completely modernised apartment benefits from classic Edinburgh high ceilings and large south-facing windows, as well as a brand new kitchen and shower room. Comfort and convenience are high on the agenda, with luxurious Egyptian cotton bedlinen, a well-equipped kitchen, an iPod/smart phone dock and Wi-Fi throughout.

Check-in is from 3pm on the day of arrival and check-out by 10:30am on the morning of departure. Whenever possible, we are happy to arrange an early baggage drop-off or late baggage collection to suit your travel plans.

We provide a friendly and personal service, meeting all guests on arrival to provide keys and show you around the apartment. Our hope is that the apartment will be a home away from home during your stay in Edinburgh.

About Emelie & Owen Lima

We are a South African-Swedish couple who love going to new places (especially hot and sunny ones). In 2005 we somehow found ourselves in not-so-sunny, but spectacularly beautiful Scotland, and we are still in Edinburgh today. Combining our passion for property and travel, we always thought it would be fun to have a holiday let, so in 2012 we bought this flat in the perfect Edinburgh location and spent several months giving it a complete makeover. We hope you like it!

What makes this apartment unique

Call us biased, but we think this is the PERFECT location to explore Edinburgh (if in doubt, have a look at the list of what's available within 10 minutes' walking distance!). We also love the roof area and the character of the flat, with its high ceilings, bay windows and even an old-fashioned clothes pulley.

It was a lovely and amazing experience in Edinburgh, the flat was really cozy. We really felt home, great location, warm welcomed by Linda, all you need for your stay and an amazing view to the castle. We definitely will use again on our next visit to Edinburgh. Thanks for everything!

Appartement bien situé, très bien équipé. Moderne, confortable et beau !!!

Idéal pour couple (1 chambre) mais aussi en famille (canapé lit dans le séjour)

L'accueil de Linda a été chaleureux et efficace.

Les cadeaux de bienvenue laissés dans la cuisine ont été appréciés de tous .

Felt like home!

Emelie and Owen's property was extremely comfortable, even for 4 people -- felt just like home. They've thought of virtually everything to make your stay there as seamless and easy as possible - even down to instructions on how to use the washing machine and electronics. Really takes the frustration out of adapting to new surroundings - the place we stayed in afterward was quite the opposite, so it really highlighted the great attention to detail and thought that Emelie and Owen put into imagining themselves in their guests' shoes and anticipating their needs. The rooftop terrace was great...we headed down to the farmers market the first day we arrived (Sat), made some delicious venison stew, and brought the supplied folding table and chairs outside to enjoy our dinner with a view. It was fabulous and none of us could wipe the stupid smiles from our faces. ;) Communication was friendly and superb, and Natalie (who showed us around the flat) was also very kind and knowledgeable even though she's not usually the one to welcome guests. Would definitely, definitely stay again. In fact, feeling homesick for it at this very second!

Perfect apartment in the perfect location

My friends and I stayed in Edinburgh in early December and enjoyed a wonderful time in the apartment. Besides the great interior, the flat's strongest asset is it's location. Barely a five minute walk from the Royal Mile there was no need for us to ever worry about going out or coming back from a night out.

Additionally, the owners were incredibly kind and helpful.

- would definitely recommend this flat to any groups of three or less!

Perfect few days in Edinburgh

Warm welcome on arrival, the apartment had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The apartment was so central for visiting Edinburgh without getting the car out of the car park! Everything was within a short walk. There was a welcoming food package that was very thoughtful and useful. There is a Sainsbury shop almost opposite which was very handy, and a car park a 5 mins walk away. If I went back to Edinburgh again I wouldn't hesitate in staying there again or recommnding to family or friends. Thanks again Mark & Sue

I would give this a five if not for the noise of the clubs.
