About Andrew Cox

This is the second season to let this house as we were always hesitant to do so but now feel the more the house was used the better it is for the house. We love this house and spend about four months of the year here with children , grandchildren, grandparents all giving happy memories. The area is unique being totally unspoilt and yet there is so much to do.

Andrew Cox purchased this villa in 2003

Why Andrew Cox chose Monte Argentario

Having looked at and rented many holiday properties they always had that feel of a holiday let. Because we use the house much it is furnished like a home and feels like a home. The wonderful beach of Feneglia is five minutes drive as is the golf course.

I could go on and on but in reality whatever you want to o on your holiday whether it is beach, sport or sightseeing is readily available in this area. It is very special.

What makes this villa unique

Easy access from airports, Pisa, and both Rome airports.

Totally unspoilt area but lots of things to do for all ages

A property with a stunning view!

  • 5 of 5

Arrival June 15th 2015

We had a warm welcome to a wonderful holiday. We spent most of our time on the terrace drinking in the view, and visiting local beaches. We love this area, and the property provided us with a very relaxing holiday in a comfortable home in a peaceful and beautiful location. We hope to return one day.

A Paradise with beautiful view over the sea

  • 4 of 5

A beautiful tuscan-style country house, on a quiet, green hill and magnificent view over the sea....Every sunrise is a blessing in this charming place, away from noise and full of peace.

The house is very clean, there is care for all details, Andrew the owner is great, as well as the housekeeper is. Close to sand beaches and to rocky beaches, close to the charming village of Porto Ercole, possibility of renting a boat in Porto Ercole to discover more of the magnificent Argentario. Wonderful vacation, we will book again!!!

Wonderful holidays

  • 5 of 5

We spent three weeks in this fantastic house near Porto Ercole/Monte Argentario.

The house is tastefully furnished, from the main terrace and the living room you have a fantastic view over the Tyrrhenian Sea - sunrise in the morning and sun until the afternoon. Everything is very clean, and it is most comfortable to know that the housekeeper is coming twice a week. She speaks Italian and is very friendly. Andrew the owner was always helpful and very kind.

Our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) spent a very relaxing time at this quite place: equipped with wifi, TV (which we never used because everything else is so exciting), and everything else you need. We discovered over 10 rocky beaches with turquoise water; went to Rome twice with the train (2h trip) - you just park the car next to the Orbetello train station; and visited famous Etruscan places in the near cities.

Again, we had a wonderful vacation and would therefore highly recommend this lovely place!

The Monte Argentario is part of the Maremma a national park. Porto Ercole is a fishing port , very scenic with lots of Restaurants, and bars. It is possible to rent boats there. Very sheltered port guarded by two Spanish forts of the 17th century. It is a resort much used by Romans many of whom have second homes used by many throughout the year. Nearby is the town of Orbetello which in all seasons is busy with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It has a cinema with four screens. From Porto Ercole you can visit many hill towns with wonderful scenic drives. Sirens and Florence are easily reached. There is a good train service to Rome for shopping and sightseeing.

There are two very long unspoilt beaches both about 7km long. Both have good fish restaurants and chairs and umbrellas for hire. 90% of the bathing areas are free. In July and August there are many festivals, concerts and other festive occasions to which all are welcome.
