About the property

Three bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage, with garden and outdoor BBQ area.

Rose Cottage has been lovingly renovated, it is a traditional Lake District property with a modern, quirky interior. Rose Cottage has x 3 double bedrooms and a basement snug with sofa bed which can be made up as fourth bedroom. The master bedroom has a large ensuite with wet room shower and free standing bath. The top two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom with wet room shower, there is an additional GF WC.

The modern open plan kitchen / dining space is equipped with x 2 Neff ovens, X 1 Neff Micro Combi oven and an integrated Neff coffee machine. The dining area has a cosy seating area with flat screen TV and chaise. The lounge has an open fire and flat screen wall mounted TV, Wifi is free with the cottage.

It is situated on a private lane backing onto a woodland making it a very peaceful spot. It is only a short walk from Windermere towns bustling high street with its many cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries. Bowness and the lake itself are a 5 min drive from the property. Bowness offers plenty to do with a cinema, tennis courts, mini golf course and of course boats to hire on the lake. You can also catch one of the ferries from the main jetty where you can hop on and off to explore the surrounding area, the views are spectacular from the lake itself!

The popular town of Ambleside is a 10 minute drive along the lake Rd (or a 10 min sail on a ferry).

Beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for four days at this cottage in Windemere. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It was in a great location for visiting all of the sights in the Lake District. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area. We were on a month-long vacation through the UK and this was definitely one of the nicest accomm0dations.

great winter retreat.

  • 5 of 5

Excellent house with all the mod cons of home. We really enjoyed the log fire and the bedrooms rooms are all of decent size. The WIFI was also SUPERB in every room of the house which was a big plus and surprise, much better then 100mb Fibre at Home! Windermere Village doesn't have many pubs (one in fact) which was a shame, however there are loads of great boozers 10 min drive (taxi) away in Bowness which is great for eating and drinking. Would recommend, as per my 5 star rating.

Nice and quiet situated cottage which is renovated with love for the detail. All bedrooms are really good sized with bathroom.

We loved to cook and eat at home as the kitchen is very well equipped.

It was a great stay and we would always love to come back.

Awesome Holiday Rental in Windermere

  • 5 of 5

I would say i m truly lucky to come across Rose Cottage in my search of an ideal holiday rental in this beautiful Eng Lakes. Travelling with my senior parents & 2 young kids, a proper home away home is my top priority. We were glad to get to stay at this perfect beautiful cottage which is big enough for my family. The amenities are practical & modern, the four rooms are clean with good linens, the cottage is having great home heating system and the most impressive is the well equipped spacious kitchen. Being conveniently located near the Windermere vibrant town, cafe, restaurant & groceries are within easy reach.. Would like to take this opportunity to thank Helen for being helpful & prompt. Looking forward to staying in this awesome holiday rental again.. Cheers!

Excellent cottage and first class fixtures and fittings

  • 5 of 5

Rose Cottage is perfectly placed within walking distance of Windermere but in a quiet lane away from traffic. It has been well maintained and all the fixtures and fittings are of a very high standard.

It can sleep 6 in comfort with additional sofa bed in basement snug.

We have no hesitation in recommending the cottage and it was a joy to stay there

Would recommend Hooked Fish restaurant in Windermere but you have to book in advance.

If out traveling go to the Punch Bowl at Crosthwaite for lunch or evening meal but slightly pricey.
