About the property

Three bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage, with garden and outdoor BBQ area.

Rose Cottage has been lovingly renovated, it is a traditional Lake District property with a modern, quirky interior. Rose Cottage has x 3 double bedrooms and a basement snug with sofa bed which can be made up as fourth bedroom. The master bedroom has a large ensuite with wet room shower and free standing bath. The top two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom with wet room shower, there is an additional GF WC.

The modern open plan kitchen / dining space is equipped with x 2 Neff ovens, X 1 Neff Micro Combi oven and an integrated Neff coffee machine. The dining area has a cosy seating area with flat screen TV and chaise. The lounge has an open fire and flat screen wall mounted TV, Wifi is free with the cottage.

It is situated on a private lane backing onto a woodland making it a very peaceful spot. It is only a short walk from Windermere towns bustling high street with its many cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries. Bowness and the lake itself are a 5 min drive from the property. Bowness offers plenty to do with a cinema, tennis courts, mini golf course and of course boats to hire on the lake. You can also catch one of the ferries from the main jetty where you can hop on and off to explore the surrounding area, the views are spectacular from the lake itself!

The popular town of Ambleside is a 10 minute drive along the lake Rd (or a 10 min sail on a ferry).

Good position, no vehicle necessary during stay

Website photos proved to be exactly what we got, bright airy premises in quiet central location. Kitchen diner best area for congregating as the lounge was rather small for six. Well equipped, although we only ate breakfasts there. Missing a guest book/ info pack for local eateries recommendated and activities. Overall our party enjoyed the long weekend and we all said we would definitely return to same accommodation. No toilet paper on arrival, but there was welcome pinta so we could have a brew! Very good property ideal location in central lakes area.

Beautiful cottage

We stayed for four days at this cottage in Windemere. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It was in a great location for visiting all of the sights in the Lake District. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area. We were on a month-long vacation through the UK and this was definitely one of the nicest accomm0dations.

great winter retreat.

Excellent house with all the mod cons of home. We really enjoyed the log fire and the bedrooms rooms are all of decent size. The WIFI was also SUPERB in every room of the house which was a big plus and surprise, much better then 100mb Fibre at Home! Windermere Village doesn't have many pubs (one in fact) which was a shame, however there are loads of great boozers 10 min drive (taxi) away in Bowness which is great for eating and drinking. Would recommend, as per my 5 star rating.

We had a great stay in this lovely renovated cottage.

Nice and quiet situated cottage which is renovated with love for the detail. All bedrooms are really good sized with bathroom.

We loved to cook and eat at home as the kitchen is very well equipped.

It was a great stay and we would always love to come back.

Short breaks are available during low and high season, prices start from £595 for three nights in low season, £750 for 3 nights in high season and groups of 8. Check in time is 4pm and departure time is 10am.

Any damage exceeding the £200 security deposit will be payable. Please note deposit and balance are non refundable, guests are recommended to have their own holiday insurance in place.
