I grew up in Swansea and moved to Lincolnshire in 1980. I am a retired teacher now living in a village near Louth, which is a lovely market town in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
Alison Jackson purchased this cottage in 2007
I bought Antoinette after spending many happy years visiting nearby Wolla Bank and Moggs Eye to picnic and swim. I did a complete renovation, opening it out to let in the light, and painting the floorboards. I bought the land in front to make a garden and to make room for my antique living van and added a verandah to sit out in any weather.
Everyone covets the houses on the top of the dunes with sea views, but mine is tucked away in the shelter of the dell, away from the wind. A few steps up and I am on the beach. I can sit and watch the sunset or the rabbits hopping by. I have managed to find which plants they will not eat so they are welcome to chew the grass.
Absolutely amazing place to stay. We loved every minute of it and hated having to leave.
The cottage is delighted, you can tell a lot of love has been invested in the place.
It's only a stones throw away from the beach which I can only describe as something from a novel. So peaceful, calming and brilliant for dog walkers!
Can't wait to come back!!
We had a fabulous time in this beech house. It was just the place we wanted to be in, with no tv, wifi and many other distractions the kids are getting used to these days. The location to the beech was excellent and the house itself was brilliant and had everything we needed to create some fun memories.
Thanks Dave and Rebekah
Stayed in June for a long weekend. Was greeted warmly by Angie soon after arrival who checked everything was in order and showed me the heating settings, just in case it was needed (English summer and all!).
The cottage is even nicer in the flesh than the pictures. The area is lovely, perfect for a relaxing stay away. There are plenty of books and games if you want to stay in, but walks are all around and the beach just a few steps away.
Sat on the verandah in the evening listening to the birds and watching the rabbits is just magical.
Loved not having a tv. We spent time playing games, talking or reading to each other in the evening.
Many thanks, I hope we return soon xx
Yet again we walked into Antoinette and it was clean and fresh, my 2 grandchildren wanted to stay in the ' caravan' and this had been made up for them. The other two grandchildren stayed in the house with me. We love it here, sometimes my partner and I take our dog with us, walks are a must, there are lots of different walks, no need to take the car out. This stay the weather was not kind, but we still enjoyed our selves, We shall be going again later this year. Angie, the house minder came over to check me and the little people were o.k as we had horizontal rain for a whole day. Hoping the weather is nicer to us during our next stay.
Just returned from a weekend staying in Antoinette, and I wish I were still there! Gorgeous little cottage with some lovely original features, well equipped with everything you need for your stay and delightfully located. As well as cloud spotting from the viewing platform near the car park, the star gazing opportunities are second to none! Step outside after dark and prepare to be amazed!! The beaches are perfect, miles and miles of sand and some cracking waves, and our dogs had the time of their lives chasing seagulls and getting nice and wet! The ideal place for a proper "bucket and spade" holiday. If Alison ever decides to sell, I'd like to be at the top of the list please!
Had a fab stay at Anderby Creek. We had cold blustery days but lots of sunshine and clear night skies to watch the stars.
Antoinette was a little home from home. A lovely cosy place to stay. The owner seems to have got everything right, all that you need for a relaxing beach holiday.
Would definitely go again. It is an ideal place to stay for couples or small families and even pets are allowed to stay. Our German Shepherd really settled in.
Many thanks again for a great stay.
