Why they chose this property
Our philosophy at Le Refuge is simple: we provide the most romantic atmosphere and the highest quality accommodation available in Chamonix. Our standards combined with our guest’s total freedom to dine or entertain wherever and whenever they please, ensures that everyone who stays at Le Refuge has a great holiday.
Le Refuge is a destination for free spirits. Our guests aren't bound each day to tour company meals or to a handful of destinations reached by shuttle bus. Le Refuge means the freedom to explore the mountain charms and the international cuisine of Chamonix.

What makes this property unique
The grand interior of this lodge was built early last century and has been lovingly restored to create a warm nostalgic ambiance in comfortable premiere class accommodation. The main body of the lodge is entirely open-plan with a vaulted 20-foot ceiling supported by massive old beams.
The lodge is surrounded by acres of national forest and is one of the highest habitable structures in the Chamonix valley with huge bay windows affording arguably the best views of the Mont Blanc massif. Advanced and intermediate skiers often choose to ski directly to the lodge doorstep.
The beautiful and tranquil surroundings of Le Refuge are only a short 10 minute walk from the international cuisine and entertainment that make Chamonix centre such an exciting option
