Set on the sea shore in its own extensive gardens and grounds with mature trees, this house was built in Scots Baronial style in 1891 and retains all its historic Victorian features, yet is modern, warm, comfortable and quite luxurious.

It is in a quiet peaceful location, yet is not remote or isolated, being 9 miles south of Fort William town which has a large supermarket and within a short drive of several restaurants and a late opening convenience store.

Within the house there is a snooker room with Pool table, a sauna, gym and a fully furnished conservatory for sitting and admiring the wonderful sea and mountain views.

Furnished with sturdy antiques and decorated with a fine collection of attractive modern art.

Circular Jacuzzi bath in the turret of the main bedroom.

2 large double bedrooms (both en suite). 5 twin bedrooms. 3 further bathrooms. 8 toilets.

Large mahogany dining table to seat 14.

Maximum occupancy 14 people and 2 dogs.

Great Views!!!!!!!

My father rented the house for his 80th Birthday...14 members of his family stayed at the house... there was enough room for us all. The pics online don't do the views justice.... the views from the house are absolutely breath taking. The house did need a little work but overall GREAT value. Great local restaurants, hiking trails........etc..... I would definitely rent again.

GREAT CASTLE !!

Outstanding location with great accommodation for large party in very comfortable house

Used the house as an ideal location for exploring the Western Highlands, weather was not always our friend but our party from USA was able to climb Ben Nevis and hike in awesome Glencoe and find the opportunity to eat at some great local restaurants and come back to the house to relax in extremely luxurious surroundings

Amazing vistas and fantastic grounds.

Large spacious home with ample nooks to spread out and enjoy even with larger parties. The interior is a bit tired, but the caretaker is prompt and helpful. The welcome info from Philip is also thorough and accurate.

Beautiful gateway perfect for a friend or family holiday!

A group of me and my friends stayed recently at the baronial house and it was delightful!

I honestly don't think the photos do it justice. The view from the front lawn is breathtaking and the house interior is lovely.

We had a wonderful time playing football, sunbathing, taking a chilly dip, playing pool and having dinner parties during our stay. It's also a very short drive front William if you wish to pay there a visit, which is where we did all our big shopping !

We would come hear again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for having us! Sorry the review comes with such delay.

Philip first saw this house in April 1988 and fell in love with the spectacular location and this beautiful Scottish house. He immediately bought it and has since spent many happy times with family and friends in this magnificent house. We have renovated the house twice since 1988 and re-landscaped the grounds in 2013.

Set on the sea shore, with magnificent panoramic views of the sea and the mountains.

Ideal touring base with routes radiating out in all directions.

Close to Ben Nevis and even closer to the magnificent mountains of Glencoe. A perfect base for climbing the dozens of 'Munro' mountains within a 30 minute drive, or easy local walks direct from the house such as the 3 mile circular route around Inchree waterfalls.

Excellent base for cycling and mountain biking in the surrounding forest tracks or along the old railway line to Oban which is now a national cycle path.

It is spacious, warm and comfortable. Even if there are 14 of you, it doesn't feel crowded. Some folks sit in the conservatory, some play pool, some hang out in the kitchen and others watch the 42 inch flat screen TV in the lounge. We all get together for meals around the dining table. We have had many parties here:- just move one settee from the lounge to the hall, roll back the rug and you have room for Scottish Country dancing. Oh the Gay Gordons! What a Highland Fling!
