.Our house is a delightful seaside mews cottage, situated in the popular coastal village of Hope Cove, South Devon and is perfectly located for providing either a comfortable base for a relaxing beach holiday or a cosy retreat at other times of year for those who enjoy walks and wonderful cliff top views.

PLEASE NOTE MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY IS FOUR ADULTS AND TWO CHILDREN.

Just a few minutes walk from sandy beaches, village with The Hope and Anchor pub, the award winning Cove Cafe/Bistro (both provide good beer and food and welcome children and dogs) and post office. Don't forget the fabulous snacks and meals with the best views from the Cottage Hotel’s newly extended balcony - plus they now have pods to book in their gardens to enjoy your meal from the Lobster Pod Bistro.
Hope Cove House Hotel is a welcome new addition for a meal, coffee or drink in Inner Hope with sea views.

There is easy access from the cottage onto the National Trust’s South West Coastal Path where you can enjoy stunning long and short walks taking in the breathtaking coastline.

Nearby Golf courses are Thurlestone and Bigbury.

Surfing available at Hope Cove with Surfing Schools at nearby Bantham and Bigbury on Sea.

Arranged as reverse level, it has a sunny patio garden as well as a first floor balcony, where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine. The village centre and beaches are easily accessible, a few minutes walk, and there are plenty of local activities to enjoy for both families and couples. Salcombe is just 4 miles away and the remainder of the beautiful South Hams is on your doorstep, waiting to be explored.

Ground floor: Pretty double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed and fitted wardrobe. Second bedroom with two 3ft beds, two 3ft bunk beds and en suite shower room with WC. Family bathroom with bath, electric shower over, hand basin and WC. PLEASE NOTE - THE PROPERTY HAS A MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY OF 4 ADULTS AND 2 CHILDREN. Lovely property in good location

Nicely laid out, well equipped property in good location. Quiet with lovely sunny garden and balcony. Off street parking, we all enjoyed our stay, thanks.

Wonderful, well-equipped house

This is an excellent choice for a stay in gorgeous Hope Cove. It’s a short and pretty walk from the centre of things, including the two glorious beaches, pubs/cafes and shop, and the pictures don’t do justice to the quality of the space and accommodation. The balcony, with space for table and chairs and views of the hills, was a huge bonus. The living area is generous and pleasant. Two comfortable bedrooms, and two clean bathrooms; water pressure in the showers could be more powerful, but that’s a small niggle. We didn’t use the outside patio but it could be a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sun. We loved our stay and hope to return.

Cleanliness of property a let down

First contact from owner said we hadn't paid the deposit for having our pet with us. I sent proof that we had paid but heard nothing more. When we arrived the house looked like it we weren't expecting us. Curtains closed etc. Very stale in there, had to get the windows open to try to get rid of unpleasant smell ( worse point at top of stairs) The house looked like it had been semi cleaned a week or two ago, kitchen was fine but bathroom floors needed a good scrub to remove the accumulated dirt around the edges and the cobwebs and spiders !! The same in the lounge ... the TV was covered in sticky finger prints. The balcony furniture and floor needed a good clean too.. the ensuit smelt of sewage until we flushed the loo for the first time. Bit dusty in places, lamp in lounge, headboards etc. So we didn't get a warm welcome.. it made our stay a bit disappointing. The location is amazing, been coming to Hope Cove for years but this owner let us down. We paid a lot of money but wished we'd spent it somewhere else. Other properties we have stayed have been immaculate: freshly cleaned and aired, hot water on ready for us. We have even been greeted by a bottle of wine, milk in the fridge or welcoming basket of goodies. None of this here. The smell at top of stairs never went. Ir came and went a little but back again, especially when house closed up. Couldn't find why. Maybe from the loo below downstairs. House could be lovely. Such a shame. Will stay elsewhere next time.

Perfect location

We booked a 2 week stay at this cottage. It was fabulous, very well equipped and comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. Just like home from home! Short walk to the beach and 2 lovely pubs which we were frequent visitors to. Our daughters stayed with us for the jubilee weekend and had a great time too! We visited Milton sands, which is well worth a visit and Bigbury on sea. We were very lucky to have a few hot and sunny days and some cooler and cloudy days. Such a great location, weather wasn’t a problem! Would definitely recommend and would love to return to this beautiful cottage. 😊
