About Emma Flint

We have 3 children and a friendly black labrador. We live next door to New Barn but there is plenty of space for everyone in the large garden.

Emma Flint purchased this house in 2011

Why Emma Flint chose Dorset

We have lived in the area for many years but we moved to Broad Chalke in 2011 so that we could be closer to Salisbury and schools for our 3 children. The village is a very friendly community and we quickly found ourselves involved with the village tennis club, shop and village hall. One of our daughters spent Easter helping a local farmer with lambing.

What makes this house unique

New Barn and Mead House are located in a wonderful setting facing due south. We have beautiful views over the water meadows across the River Ebble to the village church. You can walk or cycle direct from the property with a choice of dozens of different tracks and paths to explore. Alternatively, take a stroll through our enchanting village to the watercress beds to buy fresh watercress and some free range eggs or local honey.

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

Spent 2 nights at this lovely property. Emma couldn't have been more helpful and we really appreciated the little extras, bacon and eggs, toiletries in the bathroom etc. Also thank you for access to all the toys, our 3 year old was in heaven! Hope to stay again next year.

Charming, clean and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

A lovely, well maintained cottage with modern kitchen and bathroom, containing everything we needed. The children's bedroom in the loft was spacious and comfortable, as was the master bedroom downstairs. No real living-room, but lots of outdoor space. The owner was generous and accommodating, supplying an extra bed at no extra charge. Great location with fantastic walks and very near Salisbury too.

New Barn

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I and my wife's parents stayed for one week. New Barn was excellent, clean and comfortable and a perfect base for touring the Salisbury area. Emma managed to retain a low profile yet was always available if we needed help. Lots to do and see and when it rained (which it did quite a lot) there were some interesting stately homes within a relatively short drive. Would highly recommend.

Lovely New Barn, surpassed expectations!

  • 5 of 5

New Barn had everything that we could have asked for as a base for our young family for our trip away over the bank holiday. It was clean, spacious and light with lovely views all around and cows at the end of the drive which the children loved. Emma was very welcoming, accommodating and available, all in all a wonderful host, who even left some liebnitz for us in the welcome pack! I would highly recommend New Barn to anyone looking to spend some time away in Wiltshire.

Lovely location, nice and quiet. Well equipped, nicely fitted out and clean. Would have been nice to have a wardrobe in the bedroom. Nice pub down the road. Good communication with the owner.
