Secluded villa with private pool, Wi-Fi internet, away from it all! - Villa Arktos

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,076 sq. ft.
Property type villa
Minimum Stay 7 nights

Villa Arktos

Villa Arktos is the largest of three villas set in their own grounds in the peaceful area of Pefkias, in the hills above Skopelos Town. This villa enjoys fabulous views from the pool and pool terrace down the valley and out to sea. It has two double bedrooms, one sleeping gallery with a double bed suitable for children and two bathrooms.

Villa Arktos is laid out on one floor and entry is into the open plan living/dining room and fully-equipped kitchen, complete with dishwasher. The sitting area has two comfortable couches and the dining table is placed in front of a big picture window which overlooks the swimming pool and large pool terrace. The two double bedrooms sit either side of the living / dining room to maximise privacy. One hallway gives access up a short but steep ladder/stairway to the small sleeping gallery, which has a double bed especially suitable for children, as well as the spacious wc/shower room and double bedded room.

About the property

Pefkias is a place to truly relax. “For peace, privacy and postcard-worthy views in a great location, Pefkias is - quite simply - perfect.”

Here and there you'll see old stone villas and hushed holiday homes peeking out among pine trees, olive groves and fruit trees. Naturally, the views here are superb. Look down to the wooded valleys and out to a sea that sparkles alluringly in the distance. If you're a fan of walking and hiking, you'll be in your element here. Pick a path down to the beaches of Limnonari and Agnondas. It'll take about an hour on foot but the sight that greets you is prize enough, with velvety sand giving way to warm crystal waters.

And even if you don't want to wonder that far, whichever direction you head in you'll come across bubbling springs and dinky chapels hiding in the hills. With its beautiful scenery and laid-back vibe.

Exceptional! 5/5 -

Beauty and privacy! What better way to relax!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at Villa Arktos with my husband and one friend. It was a beautiful, relaxing vacation! A week earlier, we had a rest with my husband alone in the villa Pegasus, but when we were joined by our friend - we moved to the Villa Arktos, it is very convenient, as the villa has two completely separate areas for sleeping with its own bathroom, a spacious living room divided. Sometimes we do not want to go anywhere, and we were staying in, fried barbecue and swim in the large pool. The villa is located next to the woods on a mountain, so there is always cool, the sun enters the house only in the morning, when it is very gentle, and in the afternoon at Villa there is 5-7 degrees cooler than down on the beach! That's fine, because you can always escape from the beach and relax at home out of the heat! After our crazy and huge city - Moscow, this place seemed to us quiet tranquil haven, with a wonderful hospitable host - Dimitris! We will be glad to come back!

A wonderful villa in a beautiful location.

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we contacted Dimitris to enquire about Villa Arktos, we realised we were onto something special! He was so helpful and attentive weeks before we even set foot on Skopelos; we knew we had made a great decision in booking this villa for our first trip to Greece. (Dimitris even came to the rescue and found us a hire car when we couldn’t find any available on the regular car-hire websites!) Never before on our holiday travels have we experienced such genuine care from a host – he was so focused on ensuring our holiday was a success and we can't thank him enough.

The villa is in a truly wonderful location - I can’t imagine there is a better one on the island, to be honest. You hardly notice the couple of nearby villas, yet whilst it felt very much on its own, standing in the tranquillity of the beautiful wooded valley with just the sounds of cicadas and goat bells drifting on the breeze, Arktos was conveniently only a short drive from Skopelos Town (for supermarket supplies or restaurants). Similarly, by car, the rest of the island’s beaches, towns and villages are within easy reach. (The short track down to the villa from the road is quite rough going, so take it slowly!)

The villa itself is just as described and seen in the photos on the website. It has rustic, yet stylish, charm and oozes such a relaxing atmosphere. We had four adults and one fully grown teenager (who slept in the small gallery room) and the space and facilities provided by the villa were perfect for us all. We sometimes ate inside although more-often we dined out on the terrace. We found the air-conditioning in the two main bedrooms a real bonus! The pool was marvellous and the view, whether swimming or sitting on the terrace, was simply wonderful; we soaked it up day after day, gazing down the wooded valley to the Aegean Sea. I have no doubt this will be the pervading memory which will see us through the coming UK winter...

Welcoming, warm, relaxing. Definitely coming back

  • 5 of 5

We spent an amazing Easter in Arktos in 2014. It was the perfect home for our family. Welcoming, warm, fully equiped, it offered exactly what we needed. Sheltered in the beautiful pine forest of Pefkias, it gave us the opportunity to rest in the absolute quiet, not far from the port where we could go for walks, shopping or eat at one of the restaurants. The layout of the house proved excellent as the bedrooms, spread on both sides of the house, with the living room and kitchen in between, allowed me to get up early, make my coffee and read my book in front of a beautiful window overlooking the lush mountains and the sea, without disturbing those still sleeping. During the day we enjoyed swimming in our pool and the children played endlessly in the house yard. In the evenings, having put the kids to bed, we used to sit with my husband in front of the pool and enjoy a bottle of wine. One thing is certain. We will surely visit again. Many thanks to the lovable hospitable owners who did everything possible to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable stay. We recommend it unreservedly as the best choice choice.

Definatelly suggested!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I had a great experience booking Villa Arktos. It was our first time renting a house in Skopelos. The booking was all-in-one; we received our confirmation right away. We spoke about the details with the owner (Dimitri) a few times; he was very friendly, helpful and responsive.

The villa was stylish, commodious, well decorated, totally private and very very clean! The interior is fitted with all modern amenities to make our stay comfortable, safe and pleasurable and the beautiful views made our afternoons great. Stafylos beach is flat and sandy, both ideal for swimming for young children.

Everything was as it is described in the site. In our everyday routine, we continuously thinking about this place and the wonderful people who hosted us. From the very beginning we felt the warmness and the hospitality of the Greek culture and authenticity. We are expressing our thanks to Dimitri for the warm welcome; the attention to detail in every way was outstanding. We appreciated all the special touches. We highly recommend this place for couples or families!!!

Amazing place

  • 5 of 5

When you book Villa Arktos you also hire a travel agent, because its owner, Dimitris, is a wonderful person who helps you for any need you may have and replies to your messages in few minutes always! Even if he was perfect before my arrival (he helped me with the car, the boat, everything I asked) it was really a surprise to see that the same kindness and availability was confirmed for the rest of my trip (15 days at his place).

About the house I can say that it was the perfect choise I could ever made: close to Skopoles Town, but very quite in the green with a beautiful view; the pool was perfect for our kids (4!) and we also had ouf friends very often for dinner and brekfast and we were perfect in 10 as well, around the table by the pool. In Skopelos it's impossible to find "sand" as we think about it in Italy, so that the pool was perfect to complete the vacation.

The house inside is very nice and big; the kitchen was very well equipped (once we made pizza for ten people, another time fresh fish in oven for evebody and it also have a barbeque outside were we grilled!).

Thanks Dimitris again! Perfect house, perfect host!
