The perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun. My apartment is located in Puerto de la Duquesa, the main door to my block opening directly into the Marina. The high quality Marina Real block has marble floors throughout with underground safe parking for your car. My apartment has the best of 2 worlds as the main door to my block opens directly into the Marina with all the restaurants and bars but my apartment looks out over the beach and sea which is less than 100 metres away.

In the UK I am a property developer and professional landlord. I love the sun and so stay in my apartment up to 6 times a year, it is a great place to be with your family whether you are just relaxing, swimming and sun bathing, sightseeing, exploring or simply playing golf at the many championship golf courses within a short drive.

Why Mark Garner chose Manilva area

Marina Real was the last block to be developed around the Marina at La Duquesa and so has been built to the highest standards. My apartment block main door opens directly into the Marina but my duplex apartment is located on the 5th floor and my terrace has an amazing view looking onto the beach, Palm trees and the sea. It is an wonderful place just to sit and look out to sea relaxing. Being a property developer myself I am very particular in my requirements and my apartment ticks all the boxes. All the floors are marble with an excellent lift which goes direct from the underground garages to the top floor. There are of course stairs if you wish to take that route. The beach

The view from my terrace across the beach and out to sea is why I love going back many times a year with my family and friends. The choice of restaurants caters for all tastes or there are some quality bars if you just which to have a drink and watch the sunset.

Fabulous Apartment and Resort

We stayed for a week in a two bedroomed apartment and were extremely pleased with the look, condition and ambiance of the place. The apartment was lovely and clean and a bottle of water was already in the fridge which we were happy with as we didnt arrive until after 11pm. The apartment had a lovely view of the pools and the beach. Everything was within easy walking distance and the harbour was lovely. Would definitley return and recommend.

We would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Central, very secure, clean, everything provided. Two drawbacks were the poor wifi at times, which to some travellers could be very important, and the parking space, which is really too small for anything other than a Fiat Punto class car. Saying that, there is adjacent on street parking readily available. We would definitely stay there again, and hopefully will while we oversee the fitting out of our nearby new property.

Fantastic position in Duquesa

We have been to Duquesa many times over the last 24 years and stayed in lots of places in and around the port. This apartment was in the best position so far. Very spacious and well equipped. Sadly we had the worst weather we've ever had in Spain this time, but even that hasn't put us off and we'll definately be back.

Fabulous apartment in a great position

We stayed at this property during the Easter weekend. Keys were picked up from Duquesa estates (whose staff were very helpful throughout our stay) and we continued on to the apartment.

The apartment is a duplex and the finishes and accessories in the apartment are first class. The bedrooms upstairs are spacious and two bathrooms add to the pleasure.

The apartment is ideally situated for this resort with choices of bars and restaurants good for all tastes.

The pool area was restricted to client only use and was therefore quiet and peaceful.

I would have no hesitation is recommending this apartment.

Advice for future clients would be the addition of information giving directions to the pool (as this was accessed via the third floor) and advice regarding the Wi-fi password.

Great apartment in a beautiful place!

We spent six weeks in this lovely apartment in the off-season in February and March. The apartment is exactly as described in the listing with an amazing view of the pools, sea, and palm trees from the balcony. It is spread over two floors with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms upstairs and the kitchen, dining area, living room and 2-piece bathroom downstairs. For anyone with mobility issues, this would not be ideal, but it worked very well for us! The apartment was clean and well-equipped and any problems (nothing major but we had a light bulb burn out and the kettle stopped working) were handled immediately by Duquesa Estates. The only misleading thing is that the description says it includes a tumble dryer. It is actually a drying rack, but I think that is quite common in Europe and did not pose a problem.

As others have mentioned, the parking space is very small! We rented a Fiat Panda, but anything larger probably would not fit in the space, unless you fold in the mirrors. Having said that, a vehicle is not necessary in this area! There are numerous restaurants and pubs, as well as four grocery stores all within an easy 20-minute walk.

Others have also mentioned problems with the Internet. I could access the Internet on my phone, but my husband's phone and our two tablets would not pick it up at all. However, all the restaurants and pubs in the area have WiFi available, so it really isn't a problem.

The area restaurants are very plentiful! Our favourite was La Taberna 2 in the small village of El Castillo, a 5-minute walk from the apartment. Also, don't miss out on a drink and tapas in The Albatros!

We definitely loved our stay at Marina Real! Thanks, Mark...we will be back!
