Upon entrance to The Old Mint you will find a large entrance hall, which opens out into an internal glass covered court yard with a part glass lift, which will elevate you to the entrance door of your accommodation. Upon entry you will be greeted by a very modern contemporary holiday let accommodation with a typical open plan Mediterranean kitchen/living/dining area (Air Conditioned) living area has a very high ceiling, a shower room with WC. The upper floor is accessed via a stainless steel spiral stair case to the upper level having 2 double bedrooms (Air Conditioned) of which both bedrooms have double beds and a bathroom serves these rooms..

About Paul Hay (Property Manager)

Having lived on the islands 20yrsI suppose I can now be classed as a local, formerly from Manchester in the UK. Needless to say I love the islands and the most prominent factor being the people of Malta, warm heart, sense of humour, respectful, strong family morals just about sums it up! Oh yes, to mention of course the super weather we are blessed with, after many years of rainy summers in England I am not only blessed with sunshine, but my darling local lady Carrol.

We enjoy eating out, especially Carrol..! You can be sure to enjoy some fine restaurants all over the islands, where quality is high on the menu with a great local bottle of red to wash it down, yep the true Mediterranean Maltese way. Summer months are a delight to swim in crystal blue waters and a very warm sea, snorkelling is a must!

Please do ask any questions about the accommodation or the islands as a whole, I'm a well seasoned wealth of local knowledge after 20yrs I don't think there is much I didn't do, see or eat ;)

Very nice apartment,lot of light,8m high living room,two floors,kitchen, two bedrooms,two baths,lot of space,very clean,apartment, all like just renovated, great location,two blocks out of city center,lot of good restaurants near by,, people of rental company were very kind and service minded ;) super !

5 Star Accommodation

We stayed at the Old Mint No2 for a week in mid-August and would thoroughly recommend this place to anybody looking for a stay in Valletta.

The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes from the Silema ferry port, and only five minutes from the centre of Valletta town. The decor of the apartment is decent and the rooms are all clean and of a decent size. The kitchen area and breakfast bar is particularly impressive, with the option to cook for yourself if needed. Having two bathrooms is handy (especially for couples) and the showers are pretty good. The entrance area and security into the building works well, and the lift up to the 3rd floor is much needed having given your legs a hammering all day walking the steep streets of Valletta.

Overall, a great visit...a lovely place to stay, a wonderful town and the island of Malta is amazing. If you do visit, make sure to go to Gozo, the Blue Lagoon (with a million other tourists), the enchanting Mdina and museum, the classic car museum at Bugibba and Blue Grotto on the south of the island. The main island bus terminal is a short walk up the hill from the apartment and the buses go literally everywhere - I recommend you use them but treat yourself to a taxi to avoid the massive bus queues on the way back.

Stayed here June 2015 for 1 week, the apartment was very clean, spacious, modern and in a great location, really difficult to think of anything negative about it. Make sure if you stay there to use the tiny bakery 2 doors down in a cellar, excellent bread made daily and really good value.

Ferienwohnung zum Wohlfühlen

Wir sind als zwei befreundete Paare nach Malta gereist und fanden eine sehr moderne und perfekt ausgestattete Ferienwohnung vor. Vom Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett über Wasserkocher, Kochutensilien, Toaster, Fön, Waschmaschine und Spülmaschine - alles war da. Da konnte man sich nur rundum wohlfühlen. Die Temperaturen in der Ferienwohnung waren jedoch immer sehr hoch, da durch die engen Gassen und den Innenhof an keiner Seite "Luft" zirkulieren kann. Doch dafür gibt es sehr gut funktionierende Klimaanlagen. (Die Nutzung kostet jedoch extra.) Direkt neben der Ferienwohnung gab es eine kleine Bäckerei, sodass man morgens frisches Brot holen und auch die Wasservorräte nicht durch ganz Valletta schleppen musste. Außerdem liegt die Ferienwohnung sehr zentral. In einigen Minuten ist man am Busbahnhof oder auf der Main Street. Unser Fazit: Wir würden wieder kommen!
