About the property

One Bedroom Apartment, Sleeps 3

This stylish designer apartment is right on the doorstep of lively Piccadilly Circus with stunning views of London Eye and Big Ben and only a short walk from shopping streets Oxford Street and Regent Street and all that Soho and Covent Garden has to offer.

The apartment features 1 small bedroom and 1 bathroom in a purpose-built building right in the heart of Central London. You are only a short walk from first class shops such as Fortnum & Mason and Liberty, the glamorous The Ritz Hotel and Restaurant (we recommend the Afternoon Tea) and the ultimate London landmarks Buckingham Palace and Houses of Parliament. Glamorous Knightsbridge with department store Harrods and world famous Sloane Street where Gucci is followed by Prada, are only a few stops away on the Piccadilly Line from Piccadilly Circus Station.

Please note our apartments are self-serviced. We do provide basic supplies as shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper, tablets for the diswasher and washing machine to make your stay easier when you arrive, however, once you run out of the supplies, you need to buy your own.

Your reservation is for the entire property and is self-catering. Nobody else resides in the property and we have no reception in the building.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is an excellent place with outstanding service from Marcela, who is on-the-ball. The pictures don't do justice to the location and view, in fact--there is a lovely view of Big Ben, the Eye, and (very important!) the back of Admiral Nelson's head in Trafalgar Square. Piccadilly is obviously very busy, but what's wonderful about this flat is that you can *walk* to...the British Museum (20 min), the National Gallery (5 min), Parliament (20 min), etc. The flat itself is tastefully appointed; it has a great kitchen, cleaning/drying, TV mounted high on the wall, and comfy bed. There is some minor street noise in the evenings which didn't bother us much, but note there is construction in the area that will be somewhat noisy during the day if you plan to stay in a lot. However, this will be true of just about anywhere in downtown London. Marcela was incredibly responsive communicating and even accommodated our late departure. We had a great time.

Perfect London Location

  • 5 of 5

This flat was the perfect location for visiting London. We took the Tube from Heathrow to Piccadilly Circus and the flat was a 4 minute walk from the station. We could walk to many tourist attractions which was nice because then we could always pop back into the flat for a snack or rest before heading out again. The flat is compact but has everything you need! Would DEFINITELY stay there again!!

Great Location!

  • 4 of 5

The flat is located in a prime location. A short walking distance from restaurants, bars, the Tube, etc. It also comes equipped with kitchen appliances, towels, washer/dryer, wifi, whatever toiletries are available (if you run out, it's up to you to get more), hair dryer, comfortable bed, etc. Klara was very responsive and helpful.

Due to it's central location, there is some nightlife noise, especially if you keep the windows open. We did so much exploring during the day that we were exhausted and slept with no issues; but forewarning for light sleepers.

During our stay the front lift wasn't working, so you had to use the back lift. Our key, however, for the back door stopped working half way through the trip. We talked to a few others in the building who were experiencing the same issue, so perhaps the building property changed the lock. Consequently, we had to use the front door and stairs. This wasn't an issue for us, but it could be problematic for someone who can't physically handle 4 flights of stairs.

Overall, the perfect flat if you're looking for a great location, comfortable bed, and more space than a hotel room.

Owner's Response: Thank you for sharing your review with us. We appreciate and value every single feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your time in London while staying in our Picadilly apartment. With regards to the lift, it is a responsibility of the managing agency to fix it. We did request and received a new key for the back door, therefore any future guests will be able to use the back entrance again. We're sorry you had to experience climbing 4 flights of stairs and really happy to know that it did not affect your stay.

Decent accomodations but lacking in the details

  • 3 of 5

The space itself is nice, but there were several disappointing aspects to our stay: 1) The elevator was out of order (which I read about in earlier reviews, so it seems like a perpetual problem). This meant 6 flights - you need to climb two flights just to get to zero - every time we went to and from our flat. 2) We had no hot water for 24 hours (yes, no hot shower for the weary travellers) and it took a while to get a response - no answering machine apparently. 3) We also arrived to a bathroom with no toilet paper so my husband spent his first 45 minutes in London trying to find a place that sold toilet paper. We were later told by the owner that we should have known to bring our own ("it's not a full service VRBO). All of that aside, it was a decent place in an excellent location. Our next time in London, I will seek a different place in the same neighborhood.

Owner's Response: Firstly thank you for your comments which we appreciate. We take any negative feedback seriously and we have looked into the matter further. 1. I'm sorry about the broken elevator. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about it as it is a responsibility of the managing agency of the building. I haven't found any previous review with the broken elevator, however, If it'll happen again, we have finally received the key from the back door as there is another lift so you don't need to climb upstairs. 2. I apologize about long waiting time to get the response, my phone was not working properly. The answering machine is working now. I'm glad that we sort out the hot water just by switching on the button for the boiler which someone must have switched off by accident. 3. Our apartments are self-serviced. We do provide basics so our guests have something for the start as a roll of toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo,... My colleague Tatiana has explained this upon arrival together with information about Tesco grocery store which is just 5-10minutes walk from the apartment where you can buy everything you need. I'm sorry to hear you would prefer to stay somewhere else next time. Warm regards, London Dream House team.

Excellent Location

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed this apartment. Very close to the shows that we wanted to do. Book of Mormon was a 2 minute walk from the apartment. Lots of big windows, which made the apartment really bright. A great view, especially in the evening, of The Eye and Big Ben. We were also close to tons of pubs and restaurants. We really enjoyed the Comedy Pub and Cafe Monoco.

Wonderfully convenient!

  • 5 of 5

The flat is in an amazing location! Minutes walk from leicester square, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, the British museum, and many other landmarks. The prime location helped us tremendously in making the most of our short stay. Clara was incredibly kind and accommodating despite us arriving and departing a bit late.
