The stone built villa, brand new in 2014 perfectly combines modern features and conveniences with traditional charm and quality which is sure to make it one of the most desired holiday villas in the area.
The villa is set in substantial grounds and has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, (en-suite to master), sleeping 6 (one or two infants extra permitted). It has a 10m x 5m private swimming pool with Roman steps (can be heated for a supplement), separate children's splash pool, full air-conditioning and TV to each bedroom, Smart TV in lounge (English channels) with Satellite & DVD, washing machine, dishwasher an open fire (for those cooler off-season evenings) large stone built BBQ, a well-manicured lawn area for children to play, table tennis (ping-pong), sauna, wireless internet and more.
The setting is both serene and spectacular with the rolling hills of the nearby villages and the not too distant sea at Latchi giving views you'll remember forever. Pelathousa village is more of a small hamlet but Polis centre is just 5km away from 'The Lost castle' and where you will find a taste of the real Cyprus. With its many restaurants, central square, supermarkets and other amenities it really is the best of both worlds. Latchi Beach and Marina are just a further 5 minutes drive away where you can sample local fish, hire a boat, do water sports or just relax on the soft golden sand.
Peristerona village (6km) is nearby With its mini-market selling fresh (natural) organic produce, coffee shops and friendly locals. Peristerona is primarily an agricultural village producing citrus-fruit vegetables, cereals, olives and almonds. The name Peristerona derives from the Greek word for dove or pigeon (peristeri). The village of Steni (8km) provides a further choice of coffee shop and traditional taverna for dining during the day or in the evening. In Lysos (5km) you will find a renowned hotel (Paradisos Hills) with excellent restaurant, a further taverna, and a few other shops. Activities in Lysos include horse riding, clay pigeon shooting and many walks and mountain bike trails for those who like to be active.
The area around the villa is always a very green due to the lush vegetation. The smell of the pine trees add to the atmosphere with views that are hard to beat anywhere in the world. It all looks particularly special in winter and spring months and is ideal for photographers, artists and those who like to walk and even hike. Other attractions in the area are the famous 'Museum of Arsinoe' showcasing a stunning collection of Byzantine artefacts.

DETAILS OF THE EXTERIOR
The extensive private grounds and beautifully kept gardens of 'The Lost Castle' are accessed through a set of remote controlled iron gates that lead up the long private driveway. There is ample parking at the rear and side of the house.
The outdoor grounds of 'The Lost Castle' really set it apart from others. A large garden area laid to lawn allows for children to play safely.
The centrepiece of the holiday villa's grounds however is a very inviting 10m x 5m (widest points) private pool with Roman steps and the small children's splash pool next to it.
The spacious pool terrace is nicely equipped with large sun loungers that benefit from large overhanging parasols and drinks tables. The pool shower is smartly designed and a further feature of this area. A tall table and 4 stools complete this area for enjoying a pre-dinner apertif at dusk or an evening nightcap. There is also a sauna for guests use when required.**
Overlooking the private pool and outside the patio doors from the lounge/kitchen area there is a long terrace shaded by the balcony above. A table and 6 chairs as well as large Gas BBQ make it the perfect place for alfresco dining and socialising with your party on holiday. A traditional stone built Cypriot BBQ is also provided and the owners will more than happily show you how to use and make the traditional Cyprus Souvla which is a hard to beat mouth-watering taste experience.
Most of the outside areas afford spectacular uninterrupted views of the surrounding valley and hillside as well as the Mediterranean Sea. The pretty flowers, shrubs and trees add to the atmosphere, making it the ideal place for relaxing in the sun or shade. Smartly positioned lighting ensures the outside areas can be enjoyed as much in the warm summer evenings as well as in the day time.

Activity and Interests
Pelathousa is a traditional mountain village in the Polis area of Paphos District, Cyprus. It's a picturesque village famous for its efforts to maintain the beauty and the traditions of Cyprus.
Churches such as Panayia Chryselousa constructed at the end of the 15th century with Byzantine and Gothic elements, Profitis Elias, Ayios Constantinos, Ayios Charalambos and the country church of Archangel Michael provide for a unique perspective of the village's history.
The local area is primarily agricultural, producing cereals, olives and almonds with its wonderful climate producing many delightful fruits and vegetables such as cherries, avocado, mango, watermelons, apples, lemons and oranges in abundance.
The famous museum of Arsinoe in Peristerona displays an attractive collection of objects from the Byzantine period, including Byzantine icons from the 13th to 19th centuries, as well as wood carved ecclesiastical items, local and imported silver and metal artefacts as well as textiles. Rare books and manuscripts are also on display. Peristerona is situated between the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the spectacular mountains of Paphos Forest and the Troodos. Walking in the forests is a delight. Filled with pine trees, fruit and olive trees, wild flowers and herbs and vineyards the air is scented and the views spectacular. The nearby village of Steni (also steeped in tradition) hosts a coffee shop with wireless internet access and a very good traditional taverna. Travel a little further into the hills and you will find Lysos, which has a very good horse riding school and is also home to a very good traditional Cyprus taverna, with neighbouring shops and the more widely known Paradisos Hills Hotel which does an excellent Sunday buffet as well as a themed Indian night on a Friday. There is also a shooting club, mainly doing clay pigeon shooting with spectacular scenery as a backdrop.
Heading back towards the coastline and you will find the town of Polis. There is plenty of activity to choose from in Polis, whether you wish to dine in one of the many good quality restaurants, have a coffee or lunch in the central square, hire mountain bikes, quad bikes or maybe even a boat at Latchi!
Latchi beach is renowned as one of the best in Cyprus and not as crowded as the beaches in and around Paphos itself. Latchi beach is famous for its clear blue sea, soft white sand and a great selection of water-sports which are readily available. The water-sports available at Latchi include diving, snorkelling, sailing, banana rides and a great deal more. Bring your UK driving licence and you can even hire a boat and explore the Akamas coast from the sea (special discount for our customers). Drop anchor when you feel like it and swim or snorkel in the warm crystal blue water of the Mediterranean Sea. For the more adventurous, you can explore the Akamas nature reserve and go all the way round to Lara Beach famous for its turtles and another wonderful unspoilt beach. You can also venture to the nearby villages of Miliou, Droushia and Panagia or further on to Kathikas with its vineyards and wineries. Other fantastic scenery can be taken in at Cedar Valley and the Troodos mountain range where in winter, you can even ski!
Paphos airport is 45 minutes away by mostly good quality roads with English road signs. Visit 'The Lost Castle' (for a taste of the real Cyprus) and you won't be disappointed.
