About the property

Sleeps 4-6 People: 2 Large Double Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Plus 2 Single Beds

Located in the picturesque heart of Antibes old town, this charming, traditional house is just a few steps from the stunning Picasso Museum, on a quiet cobbled walkway moments from both the shopping and café culture of the Provencal Market and the blue of the Mediterranean Sea.

Boasting a bright roof terrace with stunning sea views, this much loved family home has a classic, laid back style with traditional shuttered windows, exposed beams and Provencal detailing. A short walk from the beach, its traffic free setting makes it an ideal base from which to explore.

As you enter from the pretty, stone set street, the ground floor offers a charming open living and dining area, with a rustic feel and a newly renovated kitchen. A spacious first floor bedroom has a large double bed and an additional antique ‘four foot’ bed and separate shower room. The second floor is an airy double bedroom with classic French style and en suite bath/shower. The top floor holds a high set single bunk bed (right up over the stairs) and opens onto the sun filled roof terrace – perfect for al fresco dining and taking in the spectacular views of the Picasso Museum, Old Town and the sea.

About Celia Greetham

The house has been a much loved family retreat for many, many years. It has been enjoyed by generations of family and friends and although we have recently renovated areas like the kitchen we are keen to retain its character and charm and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Celia Greetham purchased this house in 1973

Why Celia Greetham chose Cannes - Grasse - Antibes

The house is a great mix – close to the bustling Provencal Market, beaches, restaurants, cafés,

nightlife and amenities of Old Antibes, and yet it traffic free setting and picturesque provencal style make it feel like a real escape in the centre of the Old Town.

What makes this house unique

The property is accessed via a pretty cobbled lane in an area that has been pedestrianised to retain its charm. Guests are permitted special access to unload their taxi but beyond this the street remains a car free haven.

Characterful accommodation, ideal location

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful old house in the heart of old Antibes with everything you need for a perfect holiday only a few steps away. The daily Provencal market round the corner is fantastic, the Picasso Museum just down the lane is a must-see, quaint streets, lovely beaches, great places to eat, wonderful walks on Cap d'Antibes - the list goes on. The view from the roof terrace is an added bonus. Will definitely return.

Great experience!

  • 4 of 5

What a lovely place to spend some time in beautiful Antibes. It is located on a peaceful pedestrian street just a stone's throw from the water and a fabulous daily market. But, it is the top terrace of this home that really shines. What a view! This is what the Cote d'Azur is all about. Thank you Celia, for your generosity and professional help to make our stay a great one. I highly recommend staying in this quaint spot.

Old Antibes: Don't hesitate

  • 5 of 5

Quiet, safe and peaceful location yet in the heart of Old Antibes. Home is historic and charming yet with a modern kitchen, wifi, two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a bonus: roof top terrace.

<2 minute walk to Provencal Market and Picasso Museum, 5 minute walk to beach. Great base for exploring Provence, Cote D'Azur, Corniches, Monacco.

House was clean and well-stocked with towels and linens. We appreciated the Welcome Gift of a bottle of wine.

Kitchen was well-equipped, washing machine worked well and shower pressure was excellent.

Owner was more than attentive to our questions about the house and medical care which our daughter needed.

We visited in December 2015.. There was plenty of safe, free parking in the off-season. The house was snug; the wall heaters worked well but it was nice to have the options of portable heaters as well. There were also extra blankets for lounging about. We'd love to return.

Lovely Home in Old Antibes

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 loved our time in Antibes and we loved living in old Antibes close to the market and the water. The home was clean and the beds were cozy and comfortable. We appreciated the extra throw blankets and heaters on the cold days.

Celia was wonderful to deal with and promptly answered any and all of our questions.

Lovely apartment

  • 5 of 5

We are just packing to leave after a month in this lovely apartment. The location is unbeatable. Close to markets, restaurants, buses and the train. Very quiet in the evenings. The terrace is delightful on sunny days. Beds were great - no one is complaining about backaches! The decor is tasteful, much appreciated when staying for a month. The apartment is cosy, clean, and comfortable. As it is winter, the extra touch of soft afgans in the living room was very thoughtful. As winemakers, we also liked having nice wine glasses...not often found in rental properties. We have been coming to this area for years, and I have to say this has been the best place we have rented. Celia and Celine were helpful and easy to deal with. Thank you so much for sharing your vacation home with us.

Unique house in lovely town

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Antibes. This included of course, the time we spent in house - as it has such an atmosphere! The accommodation is located very close to the market, Picasso museum and a small Gravette beach. There are all mod cons, and wi-fi worked well. Celia has provided us with very detailed guidance and has always been there - on-line - to answer any questions.

I would highly recommend this property to families with young or grown-up children. Would love to go there again. many thanks, Celia!

The house sits right in the heart of Antibes Old Town with its café culture and chilled out Riviera chic. Step out of the front door and take a stroll along the picture postcard back streets of the Vielle Ville, steeped in history and hiding a myriad charming cafes and boutiques.

The house is situated between Antibes town’s three sandy beaches. Take a short (300m) stroll through quiet back streets or past the bustling local produce stalls of the Provencal Market to reach the Town Beach, a protected site nestled right into the old stone city walls. A ten minute walk along the dramatic coast wall ‘Ramparts’ will take you first to the chic private ‘Plage Royal’ and then the long golden sweep of Salis Beach reaching right along to the sailing club and beach bar.

You could take an evening stroll past arts and crafts stalls and a huge selection of cafes, bars and restaurants down to the glamorous Port Vauban, just a 5 minutes walk away, to take in the yachts and super yachts there.

True to its artistic roots Antibes boasts an impressive range of cultural activities – the renowned Picasso Museum is just yards from the house and overlooks the sea from its impressive setting; a short walk will take you to the Musee Peynet; while the Musee Fernand Leger and Musee Renoir are a short bus or car ride away. There are also cultural festivals throughout the year.

There are numerous boat hire options run from the Port (5 mins walk), water ski rides run from beside Plage Royal and the sailing school beyond Salis Beach runs a range of courses from sailing to windsurfing. Nearby Juan Les Pins has yet more night-life options, and ferries to the pretty walks and beaches of the Isles de Lerins.
