Kinmylies Farmhouse is a traditional 2 bedroom highland farmhouse, built in 1905 using local stone. It sits within a pleasant residential area with a private back garden and great views over Inverness. It is within easy walking distance of Bught Park, Torvean golf course, the Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen Way. The town centre is about 20 minutes by foot.

Local shops and take-away restaurants are a quick walk across the road and the house is well served by local buses.

About the Owner

Graham grew up in Inverness before leaving to go to University in Edinburgh in 1986. He has always been extremely fond of Inverness and the Highlands and has retained close connections to the town (now city). He has many relatives and friends living in the city and gets back as often as he can, especially in the football season as he and his father are long-standing season ticket holders with the mighty Inverness Caley Thistle.

Graham bought a property in Inverness back in 2006, initially for his own use, but he started renting out to visitors in 2009 (see http://www.homeaway.co.uk/p441785). In 2012, he was able to acquire Kinmylies Farmhouse, which had long been one of his favourite properties.

His mother, Margaret, manages both rental properties and delights in meeting guests from around the world.

Perfect Place

This property was perfect! It was a short walk into Inverness and had every convenience. The home and gardens are well maintained, and the house was very clean and tidy. We were travelling with another couple and it was very comfortable for 4 adults. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Well presented cottage 30 minutes walk from town centre, comfortable and well equipped.

The cottage has all you need for your holiday. Comfortably furnished with well kept gardens and all the kitchen equipment you will need to feed family and do your laundry if you wish. Has good wifi internet and modern big flat screen TV that has a selection of inputs including USB (even has printer available).

There is a small group of shops just over the road including a Fish and Chip shop and a Chemists.

Ideally placed for trips by car to attractions around Inverness and is within an easy 30 minute walk of the town centre.

Great stay

We had a great stay at Kinmylies Farmhouse. it was nice and spacious with all the cooking and laundry facilities you could want. Close to Inverness and easy access to Loch Ness and other sightseeing spots in the Highlands! Would definitely stay here again.

Closet to town but not too close.

Property top class with everything you will need for an enjoyable relaxing holiday. Owner was there to great you and show you round the house. Gardens to the front and rear well presented.

Plenty of walks around the area including the Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen Way. Nightlife in town pubs and restaurants all worth a visit.

The house is central enough to allow access to the city centre amenities but also offers easy walking access to some of the best walks in the area. These include the Caledonian Canal, the Great Glen Way and forest walks in Craig Dunain.
