3 Bed, 2 Bath/Cloakrooms Situated At The Foothills Of Dartmoor National Park

Ideally located in the Town of Bovey Tracey for easy access to Dartmoor National Park and the surrounding areas. From the doorstep many walks can be taken around the country lanes and over the National Park including Haytor and Yarner Woods. Widecombe-in-the-Moor is a short drive away. Travel over Dartmoor to Princetown, Tavistock or Plymouth or visit the many picturesque villages for a traditional Devon cream tea. The cathedral city of Exeter is nearby and the beaches of the South Hams and Torbay are also a short drive away. Attractions in the area include Bovey Castle, The House of Marbles, Babbacombe Model village, Crealy Devon, National Trust properties including Castle Drogo and Killerton House. There are theatres in Torquay and Paignton with shows all year-round and a choice of pubs and restaurants all within a short drive. There is an open-air heated swimming pool in Bovey Tracey which opens from May to September which is just a 5 minute walk away.

About Ronnie Clifford

My name is Ronnie Clifford and I bought my house in Bovey Tracey in 2008 to be close to my Mother and Sister who both live in the area. I have not been able to spend as much time there as I would like over the last couple of years and I really want the property to be lived in. So, I have decided to rent it out as a holiday let in order to get some energy running through the house. It has a lovely feel to it, warm and homely and I do hope you will enjoy staying in it as much as I do when I am not either living in London or spending time traveling abroad.

Why Ronnie Clifford chose Bovey Tracey

I love to be in Bovey (as the locals call it). It's easy to get around and you can walk out for dinner or to the pub for a drink. The outdoor swimming pool is a must in the summer and is a stones throw away. Get out on your bikes and visit the local area, calling in at many of the local restaurants for a bite to eat along the way. Torquay is not too far away and some of the best beaches in the country are worth a day out to visit.

It's always good to have Exeter close by for a bit of 'retail therapy', if all the walking and cycling get too much! There is also a paint ball circuit just down the road, before you get to Trago Mills. If you haven't been to Trago, then it is worth a visit, if only to pick up your holiday bargains.

For any family 'The house of Marbles' is also a must with lots of things for both kids and adults to do, plus of course, great food at reasonable prices.

What makes this house unique

The house has both a downstairs twin bedroom with a single bed (and a fold-out if needed), plus a downstairs Wet room.

With ramp access to the property from the front it provides ease of access for those less able to use lots of steps or stairs.

Upstairs there is also a cloakroom and two additional double bedrooms. The most outstanding feature of this property is its south facing garden which gets the sun from morning to evening most of the year around. With BBQ and Chimenea provided plus outdoor benches and tables and chairs; enjoy wonderful evenings in this stunningly beautiful south facing garden.

At last we're leaving your lovely home from home, we certainly thought it was for the last eight lovely weeks. If we could have seen the future we could have booked for another month into August, our new home is taking until the middle of August to be ready, but thanks to family & friends we will be OK. Probably not so comfortable as your home is but we were very grateful for the extra time we spent here. Thanks Greatly for everything and we wish you well in your future lets.

A stunning Holiday home from home, with all of the comforts needed to enjoy a beautiful and relaxing time away. Arrival time 4pm, Departure 10am. We have a brand new Wet Room with Rainforest shower Sink and Toilet installed during November 2013. We have a unlimited broadband connection. There are Tri-folding doors that open the dining room up into the Garden for a wonderful opportunity to bring the outdoors inside and visa versa. Beautiful during the summer months.

An enjoyable Christmas

The house was comfortable, with plenty of room and well provided with kitchen equipment - most important for Christmas. All round it was a good place to stay, and one we would recommend to family or friends. The spare bedroom we had intended for our son and daughter-in-law to use on Christmas night could not be used as it wasn't practical to keep their dog downstairs in the kitchen while they were upstairs. They decided to go home to sleep - fortunately only as far as East Ogwell.

Great location and ideal property

Had a great week - good location for the moors and the coast. The House of Marbles just around the corner was perfect for the children.

The house is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Cream tea provided on arrival was lovely and other thoughtful touches. The property manager was most helpful without being intrusive. The garden is lovely and was much enjoyed by the children. We definitely hope to return.

Christmas in Kiln Close

We spent a cosy family Xmas in Kiln Close. Ann welcomed us with home made scone and clotted cream - thanks again Ann - and we found everything we needed to make our stay really comfortable. The rooms are perfect for a family of four (particularly with teenagers that need their own space!). The kitchen was well equipped - we russled up a Xmas dinner there with no hitches. The heating was very effective - important with temperatures under zero and the two bathrooms is definitely an advantage. The house is in easy walking distance to pubs and shops including House of Marbles (much loved by my family) and the infamous Trago Mills. All in all would recommend a stay here at any time of the year. If we can pursuade our teenies to come on holiday with us again we'll definitely come back.

Great place to stay for Dartmoor and the beaches.

The photos don't begin to do justice to the actual space in this property. With 6 adults sharing this accommodation we still found it more than adequate and the owner had thought of everything for our comfort. This included our reception by the Property manager who explained all the local attractions, places to eat etc. and was most welcoming.

Nice sized, local to many attractions.
