Versatile property
2 days into our stay we found ourselves isolating due to covid. Fortunately the different areas of the property indoors and outdoors enabled our family group to have the space each person needed to rest or follow their chosen pursuits and the beautiful deck and outdoor grassed areas meant we could also still enjoy the beautiful weather and interesting wildlife. We knew on day one we were in for an exciting stay when a black bear sauntered past the house along the access road. We also saw several deer and a range of large and small birds around the property. Once back in the community, we enjoyed time in Montpelier, Stowe and Morristown sampling the local shops and cafes with great delight. The only challenge was keeping our grand-daughter safe from the various sets of stairs in the house. The listing advertised baby gates which it turned out were not available and the manager's attempts to provide some in retrospect did not happen before our stay ended. The lower floor of the property was , however , a great place for the child to play and relax in safety and to access the garden with ease.

We had such a wonderful time celebrating a cozy weekend getaway with family and friends. Everything was just as listed and owner was great with communication. We would love to rent again if the opportunity presents itself!

Comfortable and unique!
Our family had a wonderful week long stay at this home in late August. The home was comfortable and clean, with plenty of spaces for everyone to sleep and hang out. Our two kids LOVED the barn with the chance to play ping pong and basketball; what a unique and fun feature! The large yard was awesome for playing too, and the hot tub was a treat! The house itself is beautiful and of high quality (gorgeous wood throughout, nice furniture, etc.). The beds were very comfortable - some of the comfiest we've ever had at a rental home. Both the owner and property manager were extremely responsive anytime we had a question, which we greatly appreciated. All in all, we highly recommend this rental if you're looking for a unique and memorable Vermont vacation!

Great Weekend Away
The check in and check out process were both extremely easy. Everything we needed to know was in the email and there was not an excessive amount of instructions to follow. The property was clean, had comfortable beds and the kitchen was well stocked. We had everything we needed. In a perfect world the property would have been closer to Stowe mountain - it was about a 30 minute drive for us. Overall a great property to stay at. Would recommend and stay again.

I'm an academic from a humble working class background who supports a greener world and one where we can protect and share our beautiful surrounds. Im from Wales and can't believe how Vermont is so similar, it to is home!

Why they chose this property

I previously worked in Montpelier and found this beautiful unique property built just 12 years ago. I'm from Wales in the UK and a Celt. I've tried to give my home a European feel which I think works well in Vermont and what we now have is a unique New England property and experience.

What makes this property unique

This is a traditional new England build with no screws but wooden pegs and substantial 12" timbers. Slate roofs, Slate and maple floors, there is even a full size tree feature in the main lounge with a spiral chimney again all unique features. It really is a unique property and you wont be disappointed.
