The CASITA is part of a group of houses at the top of the village in a quiet pedestrian area and is reached by a steep path (about 80 metres). It looks over onto the mountains and has a view of the sea. The house is on three floors. The kitchen /dining area is spacious and well equipped. There is a shower room, with basin and lavatory. The sitting room with small balcony is on the fist floor , it has a sofa and comfortable chair ,a table and chairs . Stairs lead up to the large bedroom on the second floor. This has a large double bed and a single bed.A cupboard for clothes and large chest of drawers.
The two windows look over the hills .There are oil filled radiators on each floor. The property is simply furnished with local furniture . Most of the year there is a secluded garden opposite for guests with a table and chairs. Should you wish for a larger property look at no 3845 which is in the same quiet area of the village.

About the Owner
my family have had property in Estellencs since 1952 . My sisters and myself went to school in the village as young children . For us it was a kind of Paradise . The whole village was our playground and we feel very much part of this village. We love coming back to see everyone and our children and grandchildren also love coming for their holidays.
Guestbook comments from the manager
Your house was exactly what we had hoped for; very nice traditional, a garden with orange and lemon trees.Perfect location by the sea with mountains behind and not far from Palma!
We rented a car during our visit to travel around. But most days we were walking in the mountains or sitting in the garden reading books or looking at the Mediterranean !
4.6 based on 14 holidaymaker reviews
The property was wrongly listed with (nonexistent) internet access but the owner refused a full refund when the fact became evident a few weeks before scheduled arrival. Very unpleasant communication and the worst experience with any ownersdirect property ever.
a nice located, tasteful and comfortable house
The sparkling white, wellgroomed casita is situated in a calm and authentic part of Estellencs. A tasteful furnishing and the atmosphere of hospitality (not only shown by fruits and warmth as a welcome) together with the wonderful site made every hour of our stay to a pleasure. Therefore we spent much time in or in front of the casita - unless we enjoyed the daily wonderful route to the rough seaside or trips to the neighboured mountains and villages ... To sum up our impressions: We thank Nadia! All our expectations are fulfilled, even surpassed! We look forward to a return!
Beautiful peaceful spot
My partner and I (mid-late 60s) spent a wonderful week in the Casita in May. The house was perfect for our needs, well fitted out, attractive and very clean and spacious and we loved the balcony, The weather was such (low 70s) that we were able to sit out each evening and enjoy a drink while admiring the fantastic views of the sea and mountains. We didn't use the garden much although we liked the lemon trees and the enormous palm and I imagine in the heat of the summer, it would be a lovely place to sit.
We managed the steps up to the house with no problem and the fact that it is pedestrianised and above the main street means that it is wonderfully peaceful.. The only slight blight was the somewhat random chiming of the church clock which seemed to have a mind of its own and was not to be relied on for accuracy!
Estellencs itself is a delightful place well away from the crowds and very unspoilt. We used to enjoy the walk down to the cove and back (only takes about an hour) past a lot of small-holdings - everyone seems to grow a variety of crops and the irrigation system is fascinating.
There is a good bar/cafe on the opposite side of the main road and the Montimar, a really good restaurant, is at the bottom of the path and steps leading up to the casita. The food was excellent and plenty of it. Do try the suckling pig.
Although we hired a car and enjoyed driving the amazing windy roads (and avoiding the cyclists), the bus service is excellent and takes about an hour to Palma arriving at the main bus station which is relatively close to the centre and next to the train station to Soller
Overall, we had a wonderful holiday, really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend both the Casita and Estellencs. Nadia too was extremely helpful in providing information and sorting things out.
A fantastic spot in a wonderful village
Having spent my holidays staying in the lower part of Estellencs every year since the age of seven, it was a real treat to live for a week in the top of the village!
I found Nadia responded to my enquiry promptly and booking the house was very straightforward. It was ready for us on arrival and the housekeeper dropped in on us during our stay to make sure that all was well. The descriptions and pictures on the website are an accurate reflection of the property and for two people (or in our case two and a little one) they showed exactly what we were after. We didn't mind the walk up to the house laden down with our shopping, after all, we were on holiday and had all the time in the world. The only suggestion I would make is for those who are light sleepers to bring ear plugs - the church clock never sleeps!! And be aware that the bathroom is on the ground floor whilst the bedroom is on the second.
The casita is well situated away from the main road and is simply but functionally furnished. It had everything that we were after for our holiday - views, space and tranquility. Also, the fact that this area of the village is pedestrianised was a bonus for us, as we could let our two year old daughter run about outside to her heart's content.
It's also close to one of my favourite restaurant's in the world - the Montimar. Check out the quality food, the excellent service and of course, try the hierbas!
For a peaceful getaway to somewhere remote and yet accessible, the casita is the perfect retreat.
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Casita this summer, in the last days of July. We found it very cute and hospitable, it is big (three rooms + bathroom) and in a very quiet position. The house was clean and with all the fornitures and the things we needed..the wiew from the bedroom's window was powerfull! You can reach it only by feet because it is in a pedestrian area on the hill of Estellencs. There are some steps but it isn't a problem if you have healthy legs. The village is small and beautiful, there is a good restaurant called Montimar 20m from the Casita, where we ate the real spanish paella and other tasty fish. If you look for shops or a supermarket, you need to go to Andratx (20 minutes by car) or other farthest places, because in Estellencs there is only a little shop. It wasn't a problem for us, in fact we rented a cheap car in Mallorca, so every day we could drive and see different parts of the island. Estellencs has a little nice beach of stones, and on the west coast all the beachs are similar, but if you want a sand one you can easly reach it in the south of Mallorca, near the city of Palma. In conclusion, our holiday in the Casita has been relaxing and we enjoyed our time very much. I hope to come back soon!
A simple, characterful gem
Estellencs is a delightful village, unspoilt by tourism, full of steep, little lanes and alleys set on a hillside with beautiful views over the sea.
We used a hire car to get there via beautiful mountain roads from Palma. I believe it does have a bus service.
You need to climb steps amounting to about two houses in height just to get to the house, but we did not see this as a problem.
The house is very simple and traditional: three rooms; one on top of the other. The kitchen had most things you need (no microwave or dishwasher) in very good order. Just off the kitchen was a small bathroom with good shower and toilet facilities.
The sitting room above this had french windows onto a tiny balcony. The bedroom at the top with double bed was again simple, but beautiful and spacious. Beware the church clock that strikes throughout the night, but only if you're a particularly light sleeper; we didn't find it a problem.
If you're not put off by lots of steps this place comes highly recommended as a taste of charming, beautiful, traditional village Mallorca.
From the Owner
“This simple but charming house is in a lovely position at the top of the village overlooking the stunning views of hills and the sea . The little balcony is perfect for watching the spectacular sunsets over the sea. This area of the village is only for pedestrians, so there are no traffic noises.”
Activity and Interests
Estellencs is approximately 50 minutes from Palma airport on the North side of the Tramuntana Mountains. The village has its own pebbly beach, which can be reached on foot (about 20 minutes) or 10 minutes in a car. The stone built village clusters a round the little square and church and has seen relatively little development. The combination of the rugged mountain village, terraced olive groves and views of the Mediterranean make it quite exceptional. The mountain behind the village rises to 3000 feet,it is possible to walk up to the top of the mountain, with magnificent views over the island, and then walk down to the beach for a swim to cool off! There are good restaurants and a small shop. This is an ideal location for walking , swimming and discovering this dramatic coast of Mallorca. The village has been filmed as representing an unspoilt Mediterranean village. This is our 15th year of letting the properties. I am pleased to have several guests who have booked to come again.
A visit to Palma is well worth a day as is driving along the coast to Valldemosa with its connections with Chopin and Deya . Two of the most beautiful villages on the island.
i am also fond of going to Palma and taking the train to Soller and then the tram to Soller Port ( you can also drive therealong the coast.)
Other Activities: Puerto de Andrax 22kms for hire of boats. Golf 25 kilometres

“This village and the beautiful surroundings make it a unique place. This corner of the village has its own quiet charm overlooking an overgrown lemon orchard and the big trees in the Casita's garden. The 3 floors of the house have charm and feel welcoming.”
