About Tim Puddicombe

Tim and Sandra, British nationals, work and live in Dubai,United Arab Emirates, Middle East. Our intention is to spend several weeks of the year at the villa and it is our home, and not somewhere just to rent out. We are the second owner of the property during its lifetime of 35 years, and it has been extremely well maintained and cared for, and used by three generations of family. We fell in love with Moraira instantly when we found it, it has everything you would want for an enjoyable and everlasting holiday memory, a fantastic place to spend quality time with family, friends or even alone if you require a short break from the pace of “working life”. Our long term plan is to retire there.

The villa is particularly well equipped and well placed to enjoy a quality vacation. As this is a 'home' rather than just a holiday villa, the fittings and fixtures are of an exceptional quality and we will ensure if required there is a welcome pack of food and drink to see you through to the following day, so you really can just come in through the front door, unpack and relax. It boasts fabulous panoramic sea and mountain views that many comment on and remember. We are keen gardeners and enjoy good decor, and seek to continually improve the décor of such a quality villa. The solar heated pool, terraces - with both sun and shade, table tennis, outside summer kitchen and with a new barbecue and many outdoor dining spaces mean that guests often spend most of their stay at the villa. This is a very private and safe villa in a totally walled garden with electric gates at the end of a very quiet road. It has ample parking space within the premises for several vehicles, and has one garage.

What makes this villa unique

Stunning Views from every part of the house be it in the Day or Night.The whole area is outstandingly beautiful where one can take in the the tranquillity and serenity that nature offers an experience of a lifetime, unspoilt by over development, very green with mountains and much of the land is protected trust land and the coastline is some of the most spectacular in Spain. Moraira is high end quality and a very pretty 'real town', very safe to live in and walk around at night and with a lovely old part and a newer area which has been developed very sympathetically. It has sophisticated shops and restaurants as well as local tapas bars and boutiques and of course, the marina which is gorgeous. The town is vibrant, well managed and offers that “green’ environment. There are no higher rise buildings apart from two smaller legacy buildings which are not on the tourist path. It is a very clean and green environment, with plants everywhere, and is a really pretty town! It is an area considered by the World Health Organisation to have one of the most environmentally perfect climates in the world. Moraira has been sympathetically developed, retaining all the old Spanish charm, and is known as the jewel of the Costa Blanca. The town has a blue flag award-winning, clean and safe sandy beach, as well as another lovely sandy cove at El Portet.

On a clear day, magnificent views include east to Ibiza, Calpe’s famous Penon de Ifach and the stunning Montgo or 'Elephant' mountains. Access is exceptionally simple via the motorways and roads: Trains run into the heart of Valencia for day-trips and Barcelona and Madrid are within easy reach. And of yes, quality shopping areas aren’t far away in Alicante and Benidrom.

Our stay in your villa was absolutely perfect!!! We had a blissful week on our own just chilling by the pool - then the family arrived for twelve days and had great fun! We went to El Portet beach about three times and everyone loved it - but most of the time was spent at the villa.

The arrangement of the oldies upstairs and the kids downstairs worked well - we had a few visits but we all had our own space which was good. We used the main kitchen downstairs for any cooking and ate in the Naya. It was a fabulous house with an amazing view and within a short distance to beach and restaurants - just perfect!!!

Further details; Main supermarkets at the bottom of the hill on the way to Moraira: commercial centre about ten minutes walk offers Chinese, Italian and two quality Indian restaurants, pubs and tapas bars. Go-karting - for all ages (high speed carts for grown-up boys!) about ten minutes drive. Moraira offers a weekly Market (every Friday) which is superb and attracts all the locals offering great bargains and vegetables. There are also other town markets throughout the week in the locality. Terra mitica theme park and waterpark just outside Benidorm. Benidorm - night life, clubs etc (and excellent golf course). Excellent shopping venues in both Alicante and Benidorrn, offering well priced branded and Spanish goods. Wonderful seafront walks, especially between Moraira and El Portet. Simply stunning! Calpe: visit the old town and try to climb the rock.

Notes:
The Open Naya has use of a large telscope allowing you to see the Rock and mountaneous regions and out towards the sea area plus the fantastic star and moon clusters in the evening. There is a seperate large storage area ajoining to the utility room. The property has two main door entrances, facilitating upstairs and downstairs occupants if required. The property has a driveway with electric gates and main gate entrance for stepped walking up the villa.

Beautiful spacious villa with amazing views and every need catered for. Would highly recommend!

Casa de Suenos is an absolutely beautiful villa with the most amazing views. Our family of 4 had a wonderful 2 weeks at this villa and only wish we were still there!

Upon arrival the welcome pack was very well received by us all and the villa is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay.

The villa is set on a steep hillside and our rental car was not powerful enough to make it up the private driveway so we parked in front of the gates at the bottom. There are quite a few steps up to the villa if you don't go up the drive (which were a little difficult for my mum) however the views once you get up are worth a million steps.

All in all this is a fantastic villa, clearly a home from home for the owners and anyone that is lucky enough to stay there.

It would be wonderful for 2 families staying together as it can be separated into 2 different areas but was also the perfect set up for our small family giving my daughter lots of room to play (although we struggled to get her out of the gorgeous swimming pool) and my mum a little space that she well deserved!

We would fully recommend this villa to anyone looking for a tranquil stay with breathtaking views of the beautiful area of Moraira.

Group ( 4 adult 2 boys 11 & 8yrs)

We had the most wonderful holiday in Moraira.

We all agreed that this Villa has been our favourite, we have been holidaying in this area for the past seven years, but your villa was fantastic.

The boys loved the deep pool including their special treat of a midnight swim, once I found the pool light switch!

The oldies in our family enjoyed the shaded area to the right of the  naya. And the Naya itself we enjoyed for playing cards in the evening.

We enjoyed a Sunday roast at Munroes Carvery, (2 min drive) and had a takeaway from Toppers.( 2 min drive)

The men also walked down to Bar Tropicana (20min walk)for a beer one afternoon although they called for a lift back not wanting to tackle the hill.

The Set up worked out great, the Grandparents stayed in the 2 upstairs bedrooms, and the boys had the twin room downstairs and we had the double down stairs.

The kitchen had everything you could possible need, and we also used the hot plate to cook on as well as the bbq.

We really did love the location and the villa itself, the only thing I was not too keen on was the drive WOW it's steep. I would advise a big engine car, and just to go for it! We left the cars parked out front by the gates, plenty of room.

Thank you for letting us holiday at your villa. Would defiantly return to this villa.

Perfect for relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay. Thought the arrival pack was a really nice touch especially as it included both beer and wine

Everything was clean and tidy and was well equipped. Fluffy white towels and nice bed linen always a good sign. The lay out took a bit of getting used to but with older kids worked out perfect. The villa can basically be two apartments so the kids 21,18 14 commandeered upstairs where teenagers do what teenagers do and were happy as. This meant parents could do what we do. Chill, relax have a glass of wine outside with fantastic views. The Naya was well used for both BBQ and evening meals. Pool was warm, all instructions in the folder worked well (only needed it once as a trip switch went)

The area itself is really nice. Strangely but fortunately there are very few hotels. What this means is that around El Portet and Moraira the clientele are more villa owners and renters. This allows for a more discerning and discreet type of holiday maker....if you get my drift... Sorry Tim but I cant recommend it in April, just in case we cant get in next year :-)

Casa de Suenos - House of Dreams

Enjoyed very much living in Tim's villa, it felt like a real home from home, with its quirky features, spacious rooms and many individual touches, and definitely worth highlighting the spectacular views. We did have a number of issues, however, which we have brought to the owners' attention. The villa was not prepared for our arrival, it was not clean, there were various items scattered about the rooms including items of soiled clothing left by previous guests and none of the beds had been made up. Pam and Ken (who look after the villa for the owner) visited the day after our arrival and were surprised to see us in residence, were unaware of our booking and apologised on the owners' behalf, clearly some communication problem. Pam did some cleaning tasks there and then while Ken assisted us to get the two downstairs heaters working. Although the day time temperature was warm during our stay it was getting quite cold at night. Upstairs the advertised log fire has a fractured glass front and is not safe to use. The other upstairs heaters were only fixed after 5 days. We really liked the upstairs lounge and dining area but could not use it in the evening for much of our stay because it was not warm enough. This was disappointing. We also had problems with the new washing machine flooding the utility room due to a blocked waste pipe. In addition the aroma in the upstairs bathroom became increasingly unpleasant, a drain/sewer smell which we also reported. While we didn't allow any of these things to spoil an otherwise delightful holiday and one makes allowances for some unforeseen circumstances, we felt our stay overall did not quite live up to our expectations. We have contacted the owner twice by email since our return bringing these issues to his attention but so far have had no response. We are home almost a fortnight and have as yet not had our breakages deposit refunded.

Awesome villa with breathtaking views.

I arrived at Casa de Suenos on February 5th, 2015 after flying into Valencia from Toronto. Tim's directions were excellent and I found the villa with no problems. Once I arrived, I obtained my key and the remote for the gate from the lock box; the entry was easy. Once I settled in, I called Ken and he was over with his wife Pam to give me a tour and to advise on how various items (heaters, televisions, etc.) worked. Being from Canada where we have flat driveways, I chose to park my car just in front of the gate; there was never an issue. The villa is situated on a hill and the views of the water and the Calpe Rock are stunning. The drive to Moraira takes about 7 - 8 minutes; I walked to town in 30 minutes. My wife arrived on February 28th and another couple came on the flight with her. The villa is basically comprised of two separate residences; our friends had the main floor all to themselves. Needless to say, my wife and our friends (all still working; I am retired) had an awesome time in Tim and Sandra's home. There was not a single issue in the 6 plus weeks that I stayed in the villa. I am already looking at dates for a return trip to Moraira next February and I would not hesitate to stay at Casa de Suenos in 2016.
