2 x double bedroom apartment based in the disirable area of Stirlings old town
Castle Hill Apartment is located in the very heart of the City of Stirling, situated in the Old Town quarter with its wide, quaint cobbled streets, surrounded by many ancient and historical buildings. This first floor apartment offers comfortable, convenient accommodation to explore this historic City. With two good sized double rooms, a light and airy lounge / diner and separate kitchen it provides a great base to explore this lovely area. There is an excellent shopping centre, leisure facilities and a multi screen cinema all within easy walking distance. There are numerous eateries and pubs within the city centre and across the road from Castle Hill Apartment is a 5 star restaurant. This is an exceptional apartment with amazing views and being only 2 minutes away from Stirling castle its a prime spot for a holiday or if your away for work. There is parking available past the castle if you bare right when you reach it. If that does not suite you then you can park on the street for £2.50 for 4 hours and past 5pm it becomes free. Park and ride is also available at the castle view bus stop up by the castle.

About Anne Pollock
I have lived in Stirling for 30 years now and found myself in a position to purchase a 2nd property a couple of years ago, when one became available in Stirlings old town I jumped at the chance as I have always loved this area due to the beautiful scenery and history that bathes it. I spent some time refurbishing the apartment to its former glory and now enjoy letting others experience it.
Anne Pollock purchased this apartment in 2008
Why Anne Pollock chose Scotland
The apartment is located in a great area hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Stirling City Centre, but only a few streets away if you disire a livelier atmosphere. The apartment itself dates back to the 1800s and offers a cosy and modern living experience

Property was brilliant clean spacious and very homely would definitely recommend.
The apartment was all we could have wanted and more. Very well equiped and spotless. The location was ideal and right next to Stirling Castle. God grant that I should return to Scotland, I wouldcertainly stay there again. I would also recommend it to other adventure seekers!
Excellent accommodation in a beautiful position
We had a lovely stay in the appartment. Very cosy and well equipped and in the perfect position for visiting a beautiful city. Thank you
Departed immediately, we found Fleas!
We booked this apartment based on the good reviews. When we arrived the apartment was fine although I immediately vacuumed the bedrooms because the carpets were not clean at all. I moved the double bed and found a considerable amount of dirt, a toothpaste lid, and dust. There was a smashed glass beside lamp which I felt was very dangerous as I had a two year old child with me.
I sat down on the couch and the next thing there are two fleas on my legs (I was wearing shorts). I grabbed my child (stripped her clothes from her and put them in a plastic bag) and left the apartment straight away.
I called the owner who eventually agreed to meet me at the apartment 2 hours later. She claims there are no fleas and that the apartment was “deep cleaned” by a professional company. Rubbish!!! After some discussion she agrees to refund half my money. We are very disappointed.
When we return home that evening (after a long journey), I find a flea crawling in the plastic bag with my child's clothes. I videoed it and sent this evidence to the owner. No response.
I follow up with the owner 2 days later and she tells me that she could have rented to someone else and that I likely brought the fleas with me!!!
I am disgusted by her refusal to take responsibility for this issue. We would never recommend booking this apartment.
A very attractive property in the centre of the historic part of Stirling
This apartment is in an exceptional location and couldn’t be better for a visit to Scotland’s former capital, Stirling. It is right in the middle of the historic area up near the castle, an easy, short walk to Stirling Castle itself, the Church of the Holy Rude and to other places of historic interest. It is a 10-minute walk to Tesco or a 15-minute drive to Sainsbury’s. Ten minutes away on foot is the Thistle Centre with a Marks & Spencer’s and plenty of other shops. The Tourist Office is right around the corner from the flat!
The flat is one floor up in a traditional building but inside it has a modern feel, is light and airy, and the living-room and the two bedrooms are comfortably decorated and attractively furnished. The bathroom is also nicely decorated with white tile, a cute blind, a bathtub with a shower (both with good water pressure) and good storage conveniently next to the attractive wash-hand basin. The shower works very easily and there was always plenty of hot water.
The kitchen was serviceable and had all the equipment we needed including a washing-machine which was very welcome. There was a handy dryer in a nearby cupboard. The kitchen didn’t quite seem to measure up to the attractiveness of the other rooms and could use a little updating. But we did cook and had no problems.
The owner dropped by once at our request, was eager to please and very interested in our comfort. There is plenty of storage space in the flat and the beds were very comfortable. You would not need a car in central Stirling but we had one for touring so that parking was vital. About 5 minutes’ walk away there is free street parking overnight.
All in all, the flat was very appealing and amazingly convenient for any tourist. Gaining access was simple, the owner was very accommodating and we highly recommend staying here. Two of Stirling's best restaurants are very close and there are pubs and cafes nearby.
Great place for a stay in Stirling. Located near all major tourist sites in Stirling, such as the jail, cemetery, castle and other historical monuments. For an extra fun evening and a real people experience, go to the Settle Inn on Folk Music Night (Wednesday). Loved our stay and hope to come back.

Activity and Interests
The Wallace Monument stands proudly and is also well worth a visit. Delve into the history behind William Wallace, Robert the Bruce – King of Scotland and Robert Roy MacGregor. It is only a short drive to the Ochil Hills to enjoy a walk in the countryside or go a little further to the explore the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The Trossachs is an amazing area for outdoor enthusiasts as there are endless miles of forest roads and trails to explore, both walking and cycling. There are many activities for every age and interest including the Blair Drummond Safari Park, the Falkirk Wheel, Knockhill Race Course, numerous golf courses and lochs for fishing or water sports. Stirling has good motorway links to explore further afield – Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Fife can all be easily reached (each less than a hour’s drive away). This is a fantastic central location to explore central Scotland, which has something to offer the whole family or to just enjoy the City of Stirling and all that it has to offer.
