This rental is in a unique position of being 15 minutes by tube (Victoria line) to the City centre (Kings cross, Oxford circus etc) or Green Park Station (Victoria line) for Buckingham Palace 20 minutes, with out paying City centre rentals.

Walthamstow Market has been in operation since 1885, and it still remains Europe's longest street market, taking up the entire length of the high street. The market stalls sell cheap clothing, hand bags, bric-a-brac, fresh fruit and veg, books and second hand CDs amongst other things, with traders loudly touting their wares to passers-by. The market doesn't open on Sundays or Mondays and the busiest days by far are Fridays and Saturdays when getting from one end of the street to the other can become quite a chore. Luckily you can dive into one of the local caffs, pubs or the pie and eel shop for a breather. On Sunday mornings, a separate farmer's market operates just off the high street, on the Town Square opposite the shopping mall, which sells organic fruit and veg, cheeses, meat, eggs and bread.

Location and rental was perfect

Location was perfect for our visits to the city. It took us abour 15 minutes to the tube station and 20 minutes to the city.

It has all the facilities we require and it was clean and well maintained.

We had good customer services from the owner and the local people were very helpful. The only negative point was that the garden needed cleaning ( lots of dead leaves around).

The local marked was great, lots of restaurants and shopping complex around the area.

Perfect rental for the City

Only 10 minutes walk to the tube and 15 minutes to city great location.

All description was accurate and the facilities was excellent. It was well maintained and clean property. All rooms was of a good size and having 2 bathrooms was great for our large party of 8. We visited Walthamstow market, we have never being to a market with so much to offer. All round we were very pleased with our rental and will come back a second d time.

Basic apartment

House is very basic.

Kitchen is sparse- only 1 knife in entire house to use for all cooking, barely any pots or pans. If you plan to eat out or get takeaway, shouldnt be a problem, if you like to cook at home like we do, rather difficult.

There is no inside space to hang laundry to dry. Bedrooms very small and tight, and all dressers/wardrobes seemed to be falling apart and in danger of falling over on us. There were extra pillows, but no extra sheets or pillow cases to use on them.

Upstairs bathroom was almost too small to use and toilet seat was falling off, making it rather dangerous to use as well.

Despite the listing saying there was a baby cot available, me specifying that I needed the baby cot at time of booking and reminding again 1 week prior to arrival, there was no baby cot there. When I asked where I could find it after arriving, a man showed up a few hours later and had bought a new one since there was not one there- and as a result there were no sheets or anything for the cot. We ended up using a towel.

Guest must provide all toilet paper, kitchen towels, kitchen sponge, bathroom soap- which I wish was more clear in listing description- would have been happy to bring had I known.

Description describes location as 15 min from central London which ended up being quite a generous estimate- I would say it took us 40 min- to 1 hour from door to door using the tube to get in to City Central and often we would run from the Blackhorse Rd tube stop back home.

Area is safe feeling, though people next door seem to have their TV or radio on rather loudly all night long from 10pm-6am.

Eddy the manager responded pretty quickly to email. He did ask to access apt once while we were staying there to pick up mail for a prior tenant, we were able to arrange this without difficulty, he was very respectful of our being there.

Overall, I think it was a fine rental for price- just wish listing description were a little more accurate so I could have packed what I would need better-

(though of note, the rest of my family including adult sister and parents in 60s did not feel the same and felt it did not provide enough amenities to be rented out as a holiday house).

Nice Flat...Know Your Location

Overall this is a nice apartment. Like most London flats, everything is small, but all the essentials are there, and the upgraded bathrooms were appreciated. It was quite warm while we were there so top sheets on the bed would have been nice, but I know this is not standard.

The flat is quite a walk from the train station, and there are very few direct routes on the Victoria Line (we usually had to transfer somewhere) so be prepared for a total of 30-45 minutes (and some exercise) to get to Central. The price was definitely less than anything we found closer in, so it's a nice trade-off if you're on a budget.

Good service and up-front information from the owners; a bit of a snafu with the lock box code, but thanks to a helpful neighbor we got it resolved.

Lovely location with all the requirements you need

Wonderful rental, must have been just updated, everything is new. Central heating is first class, 2 lovely bathrooms and bedrooms are excellent. Location is just right for our visits to the City. It took us only 15 minutes by tube. Owner was very nice and helpful. I will be very please to book a second visit.

photos agrandies (impression de grandeur), à l'arrivée 10° dans l'appartement, réfrigérateur ne fait pas de froid, chauffage bruyant, allumage intempestif de lumière de cour (détection), fuite d'eau de toit par la pluie dans une chambre qui empêche de dormir. propreté à revoir beaucoup de poussières, froid dans la salle de bain du bas, salle de bain à l'étage très petite et enfant brûle contre le radiateur. 3 nuits fatigués. Cher pour la prestation. seul point positif: transport à proximité.

Owner's Response: Guests stayed in this house for 3 nights. Quite amazing considering the mess they left. They didn't follow our house rules and so we certainly cannot welcome these guests again. In the bathroom downstairs there is a radiator. They did not turn it on and hence we agree it may be a little cold then. The guest never mentioned this in their stay and hence we could not inform them. However, instructions of the house are in our information pack sent via email. The house is professionally cleaned before guests arrive. The one benefit of the guests stay is that they informed us of a leak in one of the bedrooms. We were not aware of this and it seemed to be a leak that was only apparent when it rained. It caused some moisture on the wall near the ceiling. I certainly wasn't a drip and was not anywhere near the bed. However, now we know, this has been fixed for our next guests.
