Stuckgowan House is a Georgian Grade A listed building which has undergone an extensive restoration programme and now provides luxurious and spacious accommodation for up to 21 guests.
The accommodation offers 1 twin bedded en-suite bedroom and 1 four poster en-suite bedroom, both located on the ground floor. There are two staircases, the smaller staircase by the kitchen leads to a double and a small twin room and a house bathroom. The main staircase leads to the other bedrooms. There is a double bedroom, a triple bedroom (1 double and 1 single bed), a double with 8ft round bed, 2 doubles both with day beds (these are less shorter than normal beds and would be suitable for any onf 5ft 2" and under). There are 2 house shower rooms and a house bathroom with teardrop bath and shower. There is also a little tea and coffee station with fridge so you don't need to go to the kitchen for your morning cuppa.
Also on the ground floor you will find the study / library, with open fire as well as card table. Sitting room and dining room both with open fireplaces and all with views over the loch. There is a large and very well equipped kitchen and pantry area with seating for 14 - 18 guests.
The lower ground floor or the entertainment zone as it is known, is where you will find the cinema room which has a proper 126 inch cinema screen with surround sound system, extensive video library, Wii and XBox. Games room and bar with a pool table, darts board, log burning stove and bar. There is also a children's play room with table and chairs, sink, fridge and lots of games.
The house has a state of the art music system, you simply download the music of your choice from the website and you can play this in any of the ground floor rooms or lower ground floor rooms. Outside there is a 7 seater hot tub which also has mood lighting. It has been positioned at the front of the house to take full advantage of the glorious view over the Loch.
2 Night weekend breaks from 4pm Friday with a later 4pm check out on Sundays only. We also accept American Express.
The grounds are extensive and home to many rare trees not normally found in Scotland, this is why each bedroom has been named after a tree that you will find somewhere on the estate.
There is a patio area with table and chairs and hot tub. The entrance also has an electric gate.
The house is set in woodland and there are several streams so please note that children will need supervision.
The house is within easy access of Glasgow airport and there are trains from the airport which run to Balloch Station, approximately 16 miles away. There is also a train station in Tarbet, 2 miles north of the house, which has trains from Glasgow central station traveling north, through Tarbet and up to Fort William.

" Kept it simple " house managers introduction and guide -,to this "gem of a house's " top class facilities made it so easy for us all . A fantastic location , beautiful scenery , we book a house annually for a family get together with out doubt this tasteful and spotless house has been the best ever - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and return to the house ourselves for other stays. A big thank you to the House manager Michelle who found my daughters jewellery bag under a bed and kindly contacted us and made personal arrangements to have it safely returned . Lovely people , lovely place - enjoy
Booked Stuckgowan for my 60th and had family and friends ranging in age from 16 months to 72 and from UK and USA, we all had a fantastic week. My late father was a proud Scotsman and it was wonderful to be once again in this stunningly beautiful country in such a incredible house. Everything has been thought of, the beds comfy, the bathrooms amazing, the kitchen probably where we spent the most time as it’s a very social area. The kids (of all ages) loved the pool table and the cinema room, and we had 2 dinners around the dining table, one of these catered by Mark Heirs which was fantastic. All in all THE MOST wonderful week with great company in a house that is made for spending time together or finding a corner to relax on your own. Absolutely fantastic, thank you.
Fabulous house , very spacious and really well equipped and organised. Stayed here recently for my sisters hen with a group of 19 of us. All of the bedrooms are decorated beautifully. The cinema room is amazing! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this house.
We went to Stuckgowan for my Hen Weekend and it was outstanding! The house is absolutely beautiful, very well taken care of and every room has something different! The cinema room and hot tub were particularly well used and enjoyed and the views are stunning! It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and we will definitely be back!
We were absolutely over the moon with Stuckgowan House, from booking the property to being in contact with Michelle and David and to arriving everything was a breeze. Upon on arriving at the house, i was expecting it to be lovely, the pictures on the site show how gorgeous the house is, but when we arrived it literally blew us away!! The hose was spotless and every bedroom had it own unique style meaning that no one was disappointed, 16 adults in one house and in no was did we feel like we were crammed in or under each other's feet. The house literally has everything you need and more!
I would highly recommended and we will certainly be looking at returning.
Thank you so, so much!! #makingmemories
