This upmarket apartment sleeps 4/6 people with 1 double bedroom, 1 twin room (both with fitted wardrobes) and a sofa, which converts into a double bed.

The spacious living area is open plan, comprising a fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, as well as a dining table and chairs and comfortable lounge area.

There is a balcony, which overlooks the spacious secluded garden and large swimming pool. Relax on the balcony and enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset over the Sao Martinho Do Porto bay.

The apartment is only 50metres from the sandy beach and promenade and only minutes from the local supermarket. Sao Martinho Do Porto itself is packed with great restaurants, bars, shops and ice-cream parlours and is a perfect destination for families of all ages, or couples wanting to enjoy all the hospitality that Portugal has to offer.

There are several must see locations within a short distance of Sao Martinho, including the beautiful sandy beaches of Nazaré and Peniche, the medieval walled town of Obidos and the famous Alcobaça Monastery.

For golfing enthusiasts, the Silver Coast has lots to offer, with many excellent Golf Resorts within a short drive of Sao Martinho Do Porto.

Great Apartment with Sea Views

From chatting to Raymond, who was very helpful when finding out about the apartment and other things locally, we had a great experience with this apartment and its surroundings. It was a perfect base for staying in Sao Martinho Do Porto, which is a lovely vibrant holiday town with lots of restaurants and bars. Many Portuguese visit this town and we came across very few English in comparison, which was actually a nice change. The apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived and had pretty much everything we needed. It was the perfect size for our family of four and had everything near by, such as restaurants, a supermarket and a pharmacy. It had a view to the sea and the passing life along the front and the sunsets on the balcony were amazing. The pool was a real hit with our two five year olds and the beach just a stroll away, so no lugging lots of things a long way. Visit the other side of the beach by the sand dune if you can and go to A Casa restaurant on the front...a very friendly family-run restaurant with great visibly cooked food. They also sell wine and cheese. The Buddha Eden is a real must too with its giant Buddhas and amazing sculptures....a real paradise. Obidos also a recommendation with its walled town and market shops. The area is busy in August but in a nice way and we had no problem getting a space on the beach where there was a play park for kids and plenty of snack bars etc. We definitely recommend this apartment if you want to stay central but away from it all in a secure well kept complex with parking included in a secure underground car park. Don't hesitate to book!

Spacious and comfortable, excellent value.

The apartment was clean and very spacious. It was well equipped, including a wide array of "bonus" items such as a good selection of DVDs, beach equipment, and even some toys. The balcony was a pleasant place to sit, though a little small for four people. The apartment location was good, being close to the beach, market, and the nicer end of town. Overall it is excellent value for money. Sao Martino has a good selection of cafes and restaurants. We recommend Cais24 on the quay. Also an amazing gelateria (within sight from the apartment balcony), selling enormous ice-cream sundaes.

A wonderful relaxing holiday

We are a family of 4 from Aarhus in Denmark who arrived by train from Porto to Sao Martinho and spent a week in this fabulously apartment. (Son 13 years, daughter 17 years, dad 48 years and a very young mum of 44 years).

Our goal was a relaxing week at the pool/beach to get suntanned and reloading our batteries. We were tired of restaurants from our stay in Porto and therefore looking forward to make our own meals and shopping at the local markets/shops.

And every goal was reached!!

The apartment we entered was a new shining clean flat. With 2 very nice bedrooms and a big kitchen/living room. The kitchen was well equipped and we never missed anything when making dinner. There were DVD’s and games for a little entertaining at nighttime and lots of space for the 4 of us.

The pool area was nice and quiet with sunbeds around. But definitely the thing we enjoyed the most was the balcony. The view from here down to the beach and over the hills in the background was great. We watched the sunset every night.

We can warmly recommend this apartment and the nice little holidaytown of Sao Matinho.

Excellent definitely hope to be back

We had a brilliant holiday. The apartment was beautiful and clean, it had everything we could have wanted including board games and cards. It was in an extremely safe location with a few minutes to the beach. Our children loved the pool and enjoyed using it through out the day. We tried out some of the water sports available on the beach, which we found to be very fairly priced and great fun. Lots of lovely restaurants near by and again very reasonably price even for our family of 6. We would recommend this accommodation and location to everyone as we had a very relaxing fun filled family holiday.

Wonderful

Highly recommend this apartment. Better than the photos. My husband and I have just returned from spending 10 days at this lovely apartment which was a real home from home. We will certainly look to book this apartment again. Spacious, well stocked if you wish to cook, we enjoyed the fresh local produce from the market. The location of this apartment was central to everything. We hired a car and visited Nazare, Obidos, Peniche and Fatima. Loved this part of Portugal and much beats the Algarve any day.

A perfect get away

My wife and I just spent a week here (May). The apt was perfect - modern, light and well-furnished, and just off a cute square at the foot of the old-town.

The sea is only a stone's throw away and it's a beautiful fishing village. Still simple, but visitors are well-catered for in the bars and restaurants. The fish here comes straight off the boat - and you can tell.

We didn't hire a car but found it easy to travel to local towns(Nazaré and Alcobaça) for day trips. The village is well served with bus services to and from Lisbon with a short transfer to the airport.

Will definitely be back for a long weekend or week in the future

The picturesque village of Sao Martinho do Porto lies on the west coast of Portugal, 100km north of Lisbon. Situated on a shell-shaped bay, this peaceful village has gorgeous weather year round and has some of the warmest water on the coast of Portugal.

Sao Martinho is ideal for the outdoor enthusiasts. Paragliding, mountain biking, rock climbing and horse riding are just some of the the activities available to tourists.

Foz do Arelho and Obidos castle are 10 minutes away and are both worth visiting.

Golf: Praia D'el Rey: A 18 hole par 72 championship links course which is set along a beautiful sandy beach and has been voted the 13th best course in Continental Europe is less than 20mins from the apartment. Other superb courses nearby are Bom Sucesso, and the Golden Eagle Country Club.

Motorway links from Lisbon and Porto airports. Lisbon is about 1 hour in the car with TAP, BA, Monarch and Easyjet flying to this airport. Porto is over 2 hours drive. Car hire is very much recommended and it is best to book before travelling.
