Beautiful Turn Of Century Apartment With Fantastic Balcony View

This fantastic down town apartment could hardly have a better standard and location. The building dates from the turn of the last century and a total luxury renovation has been done to preserve its classic beauty. Enjoy the historic charm of white painted wooden floors, high ceiling, huge original windows, a sunny balcony and a lot of natural light. There is a a tiled bathroom and a separate shower room. The apartment has two quiet bedrooms and a large cosy kitchen that is ideal for socializing. The apartment is tastefully furnished and is fully equipped.

The apartment is located on the top floor with a fantastic view.

A wonderful stay!

We stayed with our family of 4 in this apartment. It is located in a central and charming neighborhood with excellent access to restaurants, grocery stores, and public transit. It is located within close walking distance to Slottskogen Park - one of the most beautiful parks I have ever visited. Axel was kind and helpful. We would love to come visit again sometime in the future.

A great place in Gothenburg

The apartment is in a very nice neighborhood, with nice restaurants and shops; well communicated with bus, tram and not so far from the ferry station.

The property and the luminosity of the place made of our stay a very good moment. In addition, the apartment’s decoration and plants give him a real personality.

Axel was of very easy communication and also helped us with the luggage (which is really nice when you have an apartment in the fifth floor).

I recommend this stay in Gothenburg.

Great location, interiors disappointing

We were a little disappointed with the interior of the flat, given how wonderful the photos look. The flat is very differently furnished, much barer, with almost all the pictures and plants removed, and different kitchen furniture. Another quibble is that some of the kitchen appliances were old and dirty, which is not what we expected from a "luxury" rental, given the price of the rental. The WC had a very strong smell. The location was wonderful, though, very close to Slottskogen and Linneagatan, and the building is quiet and safe. We also had great communication with the owner, who met us for check-in and even carried our heavy bags up 5 flights of stairs!

Nice apartment in a great part of Gothenburg

Axel provides great communication throughout the booking and check in process, a true delight that really makes you feel in good hands! The apartment was clean and bright and size perfect for up to 5 people, with two twin beds and a sleeping sofa. Nice big fully equipped kitchen.

The location is wonderful, Slotsskogen (castle forest) an amazing park with a huge playground is 8 minutes walk from the apartment, trams right down the street, groceries also within walking distance as well as many good restaurants. Be sure to check out the tiny Italian restaurant Umbria almost next door!

Public paid parking also available within walking distance (parking in Gothenburg is often a challenge)

The apartment could be better maintained, but this is always a challenge with old original-material buildings - and is nothing that caused any problems, purely cosmetic.

Please due note the apartment is on the 5th floor with no elevator, this might be a challenge for some :-)

Excellent quiet location

First is that the property is very clean and quiet, leading to a good night's sleep. The kitchen layout is wonderful with enough plates and utensils. The appliances worked quite well so you can cook any meal. Grocery shopping is nearby. Many sites are within walking distance or a short tram ride. Very good neighborhood restaurants and bars.

We were surprised by the fact there was no tv, but the listing now reflects that fact so not an issue. The stairs are a workout, but it provides a unique historical experience for us from the USA.

Check in and out was no problem.

The washing machine worked very well.

With the caveats mentioned in mind, the unit provides many good things.

The Linné neighbourhood belongs to the old city of Gothenburg and is widely seen as the best part of the city. The genuine and friendly neighbourhood is full of busy restaurants and bars. You are within walking distance to the historical district of Haga and all other parts of the old town. By foot you can also reach Slottskogen and other large public parks within minutes. The building is conveniently located by a very well connected tram stop that will take you to the shopping areas (around Grönsakstorget and Nordstan), to the beach or to the stadium (Skandinavium & Ullevi). It is also very easy to connect to the airport bus.

Walking:

The bars and cafes at Linnégatan: 2 minutes

Tram stop: 3 minutes

The historic neighbourhood of Haga: 4 minutes

Slottskogen: 8 minutes
