5 Star Luxury First Floor Apartment With Views Over The Conwy Valley

Overview

Property

Updated: 03-Nov-2016
2 large bedrooms and living area comprising kitchen, dining and lounge

New for 2016: super fast broadband.

You enter the private grounds via an electric security gate and park in 2 allocated spaces in front of the residence. Enter the building by the original porched doorway into the spacious entrance hall, leading to the fully refurbished grand stairway with beautiful red carpet. The apartment is on the first floor. Entering the front door, you go via a lobby into the main open plan living room containing:

Lounge: with leather two and three seater sofas. There is a 42 inch LCD TV with free-sat and digital channels. A DVD player can also play CDs. The original fireplace surround has been preserved together with the high ceiling, giving this area a very comfortable and relaxing feel.

Dining: within the large bay window area, making this a very special place to eat and linger during that after dinner period. A great time to soak up the magnificent views from this high vantage point and watch the sun go down over the near by mountains.

Kitchen: this newly fitted luxury kitchen has everything you need including large range cooker with ceramic hob, separate fridge and freezer, dish washer and a washer dryer. It also has an island containing the washing up area and a small breakfast bar. There is certainly no need to be left out of the conversation in this kitchen, as you will feel part of the overall living experience.

Down the wide hall you arrive at the spacious second bedroom. It has a magnificent 5ft fully refurbished brass and cast iron bed. You will wake up in the morning fully refreshed to a beautiful view of the Gwydyr forest. The fixtures and fittings have been carefully chosen to compliment the living standards.

A little further down the hall brings you to the master bedroom. This is of considerable size and accommodates the special super king size 6ft bed with ease. The luxury continues with the furniture, all in fine solid wood. You also have the benefit of a comfortable accent chair. Your views over the the Gwydyr forest come via a pair of windows, giving this room a lovely airy feel.

The bathroom is just off the hall and contains a P shaped bath with a Mira shower over, wash basin and WC. The fittings are again of top quality.

You will also be impressed with the quality of the lighting throughout, as it includes many recessed down lighters, special fittings over the breakfast bar and dining table and lighting over the mirrors in the bedrooms.

The property also has the benefit of newly installed central heating to make this an all year round destination.

"An attractive apartment located in a grand Edwardian house in the village of Trefriw. Well presented grounds and two parking spaces allocated, all behind security gates.

The open plan lounge/diner/kitchen is well thought out and the kitchen is well equiped with quality units and appliances plus ample crockery and kitchenware. Two double bedrooms have well presented beds and bedding and quality carpets.

The shared bathroom is also presented to a high standard with fully tiled walls and floor, modern fixtures/fittings and sanitary ware.

Housekeeping standards throughout are pristine.

Overall a very comfortable and well maintained modern property."

Stunning Apartment In A Beautiful Little Spot

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful apartment in a gorgeous setting. Spotless, roomy and extremely comfortable (especially those beds), my wife, baby daughter and I wanted for nothing. There's even a great little kiddies park a stone's throw away from the apartment.

Trefriw is a pleasant little village with a good pub (The Old Ship Inn) and a terrific little butcher's shop that sells the most amazing pies.

Llanrwst is a short walk away, along a nice track with some lovely scenery and Betws-Y-Coed is only a short drive away. In fact, Trefiw is a nice base with which to explore Snowdonia, the Conwy Valley and North Wales in general.

This apartment and it's location is a gem and booking the break was about as hassle-free as it gets.

I can't recommend it highly enough.

Thanks to all.

Very spacious and clean!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was very spacious, well stocked, clean, and comfortable. We stayed for two nights and it was a great location to stay and then to be able to access local sites. Stuart was very responsive to any inquiries we had prior to arriving and we would highly recommend this apartment.

While in the area, we asked Stuart to recommend a place to eat and the The Old Ship was one of the places he mentioned. As it turned out, this was our best meal we had while travelling for almost 3 weeks in England, Scotland, and Wales.

Great Vacation Rental

  • 5 of 5

We had the great pleasure of staying at this vacation rental for a week of sightseeing in North and mid Wales. The unit was very well equipped for our needs, had a very updated and upscale decor and ideally located in the beautiful Conwy Valley for all our intended sightseeing. Chester and Liverpool are within an easy drive for a day trip. Our hosts gave us a nice welcome and were avalable for any questions we had. We overdosed on castles and scenery! We were two couples in the unit and found we had more than enough room. Coming home to this beautiful apartment each night was a welcome respite after a long day of sightseeing. The town is darling and has a great pub. We highly recommend this apartment if you want to travel around north Wales from a home base.

What a great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in the apartment of Stuart and Janet. Modern, good beds, great shower, wifi and large rooms incl. a modern kitchen with all what you need.

You can look all around from the windows. Also a great place to see North-Wales and Snowdonia National Park. Beautiful mountains, castles, gardens and nice other places.

Our holiday at Plas Meirion

  • 5 of 5

On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owners. They then showed us round the apartment. The apartment was spotless, bright and cheerful with views from all the windows. It exceeded our expectations! Location and village quiet and peaceful. Ideally situated for easy access to local walks and visiting places of interest by road. Two restaurants we can recommend for good food The Ship Inn at Trefriw and The Eagle Hotel Llanwrst. Finally the fresh air and weather were amazing. We will return again.

Nearest Airport : Liverpool at 70 Miles Nearest Barpub : Trefriw at 100 Metres Nearest Train : Llanrwst at 2 Miles Nearest Motorway : Conwy at 10 Miles Nearest Restaurant : Trefriw at 100 Metres Nearest Beach : Conwy at 13 Miles Car: recommended

The village of Trefiw is only 4 miles from the very popular village of Betws y Coed in Snowdonia. The property is just a few minutes walk from the village High Street, shops, restaurants, pubs and woollen mill. There are a variety of different walks from the village: mountain walks to the lakes, woodland walks to waterfalls and walks by the riverside. This eastern region of the Snowdonia National Park is very easy to get to and is central to both the mountains and Snowdon (12 miles), the North Wales coast and Llandudno (20mins) and the peaceful Conwy river valley and Bodnant Garden. There is a sandy beach with a refurbished Victorian pier, a small 'Welsh Mountain' Zoo at Colwyn Bay, Llandudno has much of interest, Victorian pier and tram, Great Orme and shops. The castle and harbour town of Conwy (20 mins) is where the Snowdonia mountains meet the sea. Good pony trekking available from Conwy.
