This 1400 square foot two bedroom, two bath Condo has been completely re-modeled. The hardwood floors, granite countertops and new stainless appliances are gorgeous! Enjoy the gas fireplace while watching the 32 inch TV or hang out on the back deck which backs up to the national forest. Let's not forget about your private hot tub! Yes, this unit has a private four person hot tub situated in a private alcove off of the kitchen.
The master bedroom has its own private bath with granite vanity, heated floor and slate shower with double showerheads. The new pillowtop mattress is a dream! The guest bedroom has a queen-size bed. Another neat feature is the common bathroom which is split in two. This can provide privacy for the second bedroom or simply be a multi-use bathroom. Another bonus: the hot water is powered by a tankless system which never runs out of hot water. The sofa in the living area also pulls out to provide sleeping for two more people.
The Winter Park shuttle bus stops six feet from the front door of the Condo. There is parking under a partial over hang.
Mountain bikers will find the entire Winter Park trail system right out the back door, over 300 miles of trail! The trail from the unit connects to little vasquez road which takes you anywhere you want to go, to the resort or back country. You can also connect with the paved trail at the end of the road and take the path more traveled to the resort. The Fraser Rec Center offers a world class pool, water slide, lazy river, slash pad, rock climbing wall, gymnastic, and full gym all with in 1.5 miles.
If you book a week long stay you will get 7 days for the price of 6.
Please call or e-mail Janet or Dave. We lived in the area for 22 years and will be happy to help you with your visit to Winter Park.
Dave and Myra are both veterinarians living in Fort Collins, Colorado. We love to escape up to Winter Park in the summer for the incredible mountain biking, and in the winter for Mary Jane's famous bumps, as well as the terrific snowshoeing right out the back door.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2005
Summer in Winter Park is amazing, with fabulous weather and some of the best bike trails around. Mary Jane, while continuing to grow, still has a local feel to it, and offers great skiing challenges. Winter Park resort provides a good variety for skiers of all abilities, as well as lots of fun, family-friendly summer activities.
You can't beat leaving your door and being right at the edge of the forest, with so many great trails to choose from.
The private hot tub and being on the bus route are also nice perks.
Overall the condo was nice, quiet, and comfortable. Good size for a three person stay. The town bus from condo to Winter Park takes about 45min - 1 hour depending on how crowded it is, takes a bit long. On the way back it is the earlier stop and takes about 20 minutes. The jacuzzi is awesome and convenient right next to the kitchen, good for a soak after skiing all day. For cons, there wasn't enough cookware and quality was not so great, would recommend to upgrade the pots/pans, bowls to ceramic. The couches in the living room are not so supportive for the back. All bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. The trails in the back of the unit are nice to explore! We had a nice time.
We had a great time in Winter Park and would definitely go back and stay in David's condo again! Would recommend for sure! Approximately 1 mile outside of the downtown food/fun area, lots of wildlife to see in or near town. Condo was clean and had the feel of a home, the hot tub was just a cherry on top. Also not too far from RMNP in Grand Lake. Give it a try you won't regret it!
Awesome trip to Winter Park. Skiing and weather were great. Unit was comfortable and spacious. Easy access too shuttle or short drive to the mountain. We enjoyed the hot tub and updated bathrooms. We would return to the same unit in the future. Only comments to be aware of are pullout coach is small just bigger than a twin. Cookware is OK,.
We were pleased with the rental which was very accommodating for a family of five. The commute to town via the bus route is a good 45 minute ride (FYI). Regardless, the location was convenient and quiet. Highly recommend this rental for families.
The Good: Comfy master bed and beautifully redone master bath. Big kitchen and living room. The Not-So-Good: 2nd bed squeaked a bit which kept the kids awake. Hot tub was built into a little interior alcove (rather than on the back deck, as we expected), giving the kitchen/living area the smell of mildew and chlorine. That said, we really appreciated the easy accessibility to the slopes, and the quiet neighborhood.
Two couples enjoyed 4 nights in this condo. It was a great layout and had beautiful upgrades!
It was nice to have a fully equipped kitchen where we prepped breakfasts and dinners. The shuttle to the ski area came right to the complex and was a great feature! I can confidently say we would look to stay here again when we come back to the area.
