Minimum rental age = 21. No unattended minors allowed.

QUIET & secluded three BDRM (2 king & 2 DB), 2 full baths, kitchen, family room w/grand piano, deck, 16x16 private fire pit & gas grill (available mid-May thru mid-October/November).

1680 square feet, 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths allows each guest plenty of personal and private space. Much larger and more comfortable than any hotel room or condo in the Village. 3 brand new Roku Smart TV’s.

NY Snowmobile Trails 1 mile from our front door. Cross country ski trails just over 1 mile away. And Whiteface Mountain, ONLY 10 miles away. We have a HUGE parking lot with plenty of room to park your cars and snowmobile trailer.

.4 mile to Main Street (corner of Main Street and McKinley Ave). Movies, bowling alley, Starbucks, ice cream, churches, bars, and many restaurants also on Main Street. Distance may vary, based on your destination. (Updated 1/5/2024).

Dogs (NON SHEDDING) Welcome, with HOST approval, (NO Pits or Pit mix breed) for $100 per 2 night stay. Additional $25 per night, after initial 2 nights. 2 dogs MAX & must be potty trained, pee pad use not allowed. Dogs not allowed in or on beds. If evidence of them in or on beds you will lose $50 of deposit. Pet fee paid, in CASH ONLY, directly to host at check in. There is a STRICTLY enforced Leash Law in the Village. All dogs must be walked on a leash.

Guest interaction: Owners stay in basement apartment with SEPARATE entrance - giving you TOTAL privacy!! However, available should questions arise. A friendly, 6 year old, Siberian Husky lives on property. He does not bark, you won’t know he’s here unless you see us walk him. Guests will NOT have interaction with him and are NOT allowed to pet/touch him!

Dog friendly place in Lake Placid

Perfect place for the family + dog. Location was quiet and out of the way with a large front yard that our dog enjoyed. Easy drive (or 20 minute walk) to Main Street.

Great Option With a Pet!

We enjoyed our stay at the Cassidy Longhouse, and it was extremely convenient with our 11 yr old dog. The space had plenty of room for 6 adults and there were some great touches that made it very welcoming. The property is just under a mile to the Main St. and the downtown area. The listing states .3 miles. As another poster stated, there are a lot of rules with the house. The owner sends them ahead of time and there is a binder in the rental for reference. The rules all make sense, and there is nothing one wouldn't expect - but it felt a little overwhelming. Overall it was a great stay and I would stay here again if I had a pet, or if I wanted quiet from the Main St. area during a busy holiday week. The owners are very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Great family getaway

Amanda was so easy to work with. Her home is extremely clean and welcoming. We had the upstairs and her family was down. I don’t know if they could hear us but we couldn’t hear them. It’s hard finding a place that lets you bring multiple dogs but she does. Her fee for dogs is very reasonable. The home is located in a neighborhood with sidewalks so it made it easy to walk the dogs. I will definitely star this home for the next round of climbing the High Peaks.

Great stay in Lake Placid

This property is minutes from Main St and a pleasure to stay in. The owners are super accommodating and the location is perfect. We saw some amazing wildlife in the back yard and the house is super clean. Definitely would stay here again!
