Newly decorated and refurbished house in the quiet village of Bompas, with private pool. Free wi-fi. If you are looking to relax & 'chill out', this Villa is just the one. A really peaceful and tranquil area, yet minutes from the city centre and night life.

For 6 (including children) people. A maximum of 8 people in total are allowed, a supplement of £50 will be payable for each extra person over 6, including children per week. Free wi-fi.

4 beds (3 double and 1 room with 2 singles) Bathroom upstairs comprises of bath, shower and wash basin. Separate toilet upstairs and downstairs. A FULLY ENCLOSED private pool and BBQ area with terrace. The pool is ALARMED, though renters are required to supervise non swimmers & children.

Fitted kitchen full size oven, dishwasher, microwave, & fridge freezer. Lounge/Diner with open fire. Integral garage, where 5 bicycles are available for your use, but do not form part of the contract(clients are required to mend any punctures etc). Also, washing machine & Tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. There is an additional TV for gaming (e.g. X-box etc) (not part of contract)

The surrounding area: The golden beaches of Canet, St Cyprian, and Argeles are all within a few minutes drive. In high season, during the evenings, Canet beach front is littered with stall holders, where you can shop for local crafts and wares in the warm breeze coming off the Mediterranean.

The 2,700 year old citadel of Elne overlooking the Rousillon plain, is Perpignan's closest out of town attraction.

There are 300 days of sunshine a year, to test your skills on the local quality golf courses.

Andorra is around 90/100 minutes drive where you can ski during winter, and go tax free shopping . Pas de La Casa, is on the frontier with France (and the atmosphere in more French than Andorran) and has numerous ski slopes and caters for all abilities. There has also been a sequence of good snow winters.

For children, and most adults, there is Aqualand, a fun filled water theme park that is open from around May to September, times vary, so you need to check.

Water Sports: All water sports are within 10 minutes drive.

Sailing, jet skiing, fishing are just some of the many activities available.

For the windsurfers and kite surfers, there is lake Leucate, where they hold annual championships. For beginners, it's ideal, as there are several windsurfing schools where you can learn in complete safety without the possibility of drifting out to sea. For the experienced, the lake's 2 miles long, where you can 'hook in' and really have some fun.

Afterwards, you can soak up the sun on the beach or enjoy the private enclosed pool back at the Villa

For golf enthusiasts, just 20 mins away, there is the renowned St. Cyprien Golf club 'Golf International' course. This course, set between lake and sea with the Pyrenees as a backdrop, was used most recently for the European PGA qualifying School for 2004. It has both an 18 hole par 73 6480m main course and a 9 hole par 35 course of 2724m. The main course in particular is challenging with lots of water hazards.

Links: Airports: Perpignan 8 km, Girona, Toulouse, Carcassone and Montpellier are all 1 hour away and Perpigna is linked to all 4 by autoroute.

Nearset railway station: Perpignan. Narbonne (40 minutes) is also a terminal for motorail which can be accessed at Calais.

Nearest motorway junction A9 Autoroute, from the south, exit 42, from the north exit 41.

Quite and peaceful area and only a few minutes drive from any attractions that you may want to visit. The villa is fully equipped and is also very low maintenance. The pool is private and is fully enclosed and is only accessible from the house.

What makes this villa unique

Close to beaches, town centre, St. Cyprien golf club, tennis and squash club at Le Mas. Only 4/5 km from autoroute

Bompas is a large village and just 2km south of Perpignan. The Villa is in a Peaceful and tranquil location. Close to all amenities including the Mediterranean and only 80 km (1h) from the popular ski resort of Les Angles.

Perpignan, is one of the warmest places in France, with average temperatures in July and August of 28/32 degrees.

The City is only 30 kilometres from Spain and is more Catalan than French.

The labyrinth of streets in the old town are the best place for shopping, sight seeing and feasting on the local delights of Catalan fare and wines.

Spanish and French music fill the bars and cafe's and the aroma of spices waft from the Arab quarter.

The whole Catalan area is dotted with castles, including the mountaintop Queribus and Peyrepertuse near the town of Corbieres.

Discos, piano and jazz bars and brasseries are scattered throughout the old quarter. Thursday night is party night, when the volume is cranked up further than usual with live music in the old town.

Other Activities: Skiing at Andorra is only an hour's drive minutes away at Les Angles

  • This is a very comfortable and well equipped villa with 4 bedrooms. 3 doubles, 1 twin and 2 cots and a high chair. Free wi-fi. Private back garden, which is all terrace with sun loungers and private enclosed pool with alarm. (The alarm is battery operated and renters must ensure that it is switched on. Instructions are provided. Renters must not treat the alarm as a replacement for the supervising of children or babies). The pool area is fully enclosed and secure. It is also a bit of a 'sun trap'. In high season, from the moment the sun rises in the morning, to about 7.00pm, the terrace is constantly in the sun. There is also a retractable awning which can provide some shade, should you wish. A booking form is available on request and incorporates address of property, the contract and details of payment the 100 euros which is payable to our key holder on your arrival (which covers hand over of keys, light cleaning, laundry etc.) .

An ideal, very comfortable property with private enclosed pool and ideally situated, if you just want to 'chill out' or visit the local villages and their bustling markets, along the coast or inland. The village centre is a few minutes walk where you will find, among other things, 3 boulangerie's, a butcher's, tabac, cafe/Bar/restaurant, greengrocer and hair salon. Several neighbouring villages are well within cycling distance for the energetic. There are 5 bicycles are provided for your use. BUT DO NOT FORM PART OF THE CONTRACT) We would appreciate it though, if you would use the padlocks when the bikes are unattended outside the house and repair punctures. There is also a DVD for your use. There is also an old spare TV that you can use for gaming. (as long as it still works) e.g. x-box, play station etc. (games not supplied) This TV does not form part of the contract, as it is only there as we have a new one in the lounge

Nous avons passé d'agréables vacances .Bompas est proche de Perpignan , j'y suis même allé en vélo.La maison est grande , nous étions pourtant une famille de 6. Le seul point négatif c'est que le récepteur TNT ne marchait pas donc pas de TV heureusement il y avait internet.

Owner's Response: Using Google translate this review says: "We had a lovely .Bompas is located near Perpignan, I even used the bikes. The house is large, we were a family of 6. The only negative is that the DVB-T receiver did not work so no TV fortunately there was internet." Our response is. We were not aware that in France now, you can only watch TV via a TNT box. This has now been corrected as we have upgraded our internet to include about 160 TV channels.

very good

on arrival the concrete gate lock is high and caught the bottom of my car so be careful. the villa was spacious and comfortable. the internet broadband line an added plus if you have kids with Apple devices. the swimming pool was great and well needed during the hot days. the only negatives i can think of was the lack of Air conditioning which for me is a must plus the beach is about 10km away.

We looked for a quite chill out place and this is what we got. for the Carrigan family a success.

Owner's Response: The concrete gate lock (which is approximately 12/13 cm high) sometimes catches the sump of lower down cars which are fully loaded. As in this instance. We had a car with a lower suspension and found it was best to unload the car before driving onto the drive. Larger family saloons won't have this problem

Very nice holiday

We stayed for the first time in the region Bompas and this was a very nice holiday. Bompas is a quiet, cosy village. Bakery, vegetable shop, pizza car, park in the village with animal area and room enough for the kids to play or for a nice walk etc. on walking distance, and the larger supermarkets within a few minutes drive away. A 10 minutes drive away in the outskirts of Perpignan there is a complete shopping mall available with a big Carrefour were you can buy everything you need and didn’t take along on your trip.

The villa is very quietly situated so you can fully enjoy and relax with the family. The House was perfectly cleaned and the receipt of Annie was super. Nice beds, towels, everything perfectly fine. The House was more than spacious enough for us, nicely furnished rooms. Very spacious kitchen and more than enough household conveniences. Very nice recent bathroom. An additional advantage was a washing machine and a dryer. The pool was super for the children.

If you want to go the beach we can recommend to go to Saint Marie La Mer, which is considered as family beach and indeed it is.

The only downside to the holiday was, that it was over…

A beautiful villa in a lovely part of France - the villa was an excellent size, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The pool was brilliant and a good size for cooling down, water volley ball and gentle swimming; the outside patio area was a good size - perfect for sunbathing and eating alfresco and the canopy was much appreciated in the hot weather! The kitchen had everything we could need and the bathroom was very well appointed.

The area is lovely and quiet but close to some great beaches and Perpignan, with a multitude of restaurants and shops.

I would definitely recommend this villa and would love to stay there again!

We really did have a lovely time in Bompas (1st time in this part of France).

The Villa is well located in a very pleasent quite village that has all the amenities you would expect - Supermarket, Tabac, Pharmacy etc..

The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms spacious, the bathroom has a very good shower and the seperate upstairs/downstairs toilets were also very handy (with 4 kids).

The pool was very well appreciated and was just the ticket for cooling down after lounging in the sun!

I would definately recommend this Villa - we will be coming back for sure!

Excellent Holiday

First time in this part of France. Delighted to have made the effort.

The accomodation is excellent (and should be so much better with new bathroom) - good size rooms, plenty of space and the pool is a great distraction for the kids.

Location of the accomodation is brilliant given that we managed to (fairly) easily drive to Barcelona (2 hours), Andorra, Carcassone and some of the best beaches I have seen in a long time.

Lasting impression was from first day (having arrived) - drove to the local beach: beautiful blue Med, golden sandy beach and the imposing Pyrenees behind us. Glorious.

Can't recommend enough really.
