About the property

Suitable for 1-2 people, with patio which can be used all year round

Refurbished last summer, has a desk/work area, with wifi.

Kitchen area (with cooker, microwave, two fridges) and has cooking equipment for self-catering.

Small dining tables both inside and outside on the patio.

A 5ft bed with memory foam, currently lenthways on against the wall but can be moved to centre of the room.

The bathroom has a good-sized shower unit in a good sized bathroom.

There is a launderette located 500 yards from the building, however we do also take in washing if you are staying longer than 10 days.

Please note, we have only a 1 key policy.

There is download film, TV and boxsets available - please note general terrestrial channels are not available or multi-languages.

Based on feedback from previous tenants we should mention that earlier we had a sofabed, we have changed this to a 5ft bed instead because people were having problems sleeping.

Wonderful location for a week in London

The flat made a wonderful home base for all of the activities we planned for our first trip to London. It was very convenient to the Underground and several museums. The neighborhood and neighbors were quite and we enjoyed the local parks and gardens within a short walking distance. Everything was in good order and clean upon arrival. We will plan to stay here again on any future trips to London.

Looks just like the photos! Perfect for a few days in London.

It was just as expected. The photos are spot on and Petra is an awesome host. It's close to the South Kensington tube station which is very convenient and close to quite a few museums. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I'm back in London!

The Place to Stay in London

We stayed a week here in November 2016. The location is terrific - close to the Kensington museums, and one block from the South Kensington tube station where three lines converge. It is in the basement level of an attractive terrace apartment, with large walk-through opening window onto a private courtyard (rare in this area). All appliances are high quality and new. It is perfect for two, well laid out and very comfortable. There is a Waitrose Express two short blocks away with every prepared food one could want, and many restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to friends coming to London.

Queens Gate is centrally located for hip bars and restaurants all located along Walton Street, known as 'the Beach'. South Kensington also has some great bijou restaurants such as La Bouche as well as famous nightclubs, Boujis in South Kensington and Attica on Kensington High Street, with many more smaller clubs along the South Kensington and Fulham stretch. The Natural History museum hosts many events throughout the year as well as the V&A and Science Museum all within walking distance of Queens Gate. Queens Gate also has the Lycee Francais as well as The College of Psychic Studies - there is also the famous Gore Hotel which has a small bar and casino. It's a 5 mins walk to South Kensington underground tube serviced by the District line and Piccadilly lines which can take you out to Kew Gardens and many more places of interest as well as the airports and main line stations such as Paddington, Kings Cross, St Pancras, Euston and Victoria.
