London find

  • 5 of 5

This studio flat is in a great location between the Gloucester Road and South Kensington tube stations, with a nearby grocery and restaurants. There is very little road noise as it is in the lower level, and yet it gets natural light. The owners are very accommodating and I would stay there again.

Excellent, just what we wanted. Great area and close to museums and the Tube

  • 5 of 5

In a bourgeois area of London so pavements wide and smooth to make moving luggage easy and moving around safe.

The studio apartment was just as it was described only better. Host meet us and made us feel totally comfortable, was very accommodating.

Bed was comfy and all the facilities to prepare breakfast and the evening meal. Supermarkets easy to reach in the area as well as great restaurants when we went out for dinner.

Wonderful flat with perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Clean well equipped lower level flat was perfect for our first visit to London. A short walk to South Kensington tube stop and you can be anywhere in London in minutes. Local area teeming with pubs and restaurants and grocery stores. Check in was timely and I would highly recommend Petra's flat.

Loved the quiet location with easy access to the tube!

  • 5 of 5

This is easily a 5-star location due to it being clean, quiet, easy tube access to lines that run 24/7, and easy access to markets and restaurants.

My wife and I stayed here from Sep 13-19. The place was clean and quiet. Wifi worked perfectly. 2 of 3 heater pipes worked... not sure if the third is supposed to work ? Didn't need it this time of the year, but it was good to have the main 1 to keep the room warmer while sleeping, and the bathroom one for the morning shower. The place is great for 1 adult, or 2 adults that sleep together.

We used the kitchen to make breakfast a few times, and it is small but good. All serving and cooking supplies are provided. There are even 2 fridges, although we only needed 1. If you like coffee... they provide a french press and a water kettle, which I personally always use anyhow. You'll need coarse ground coffee, no pods.

Bed is large and comfortable for two. I am 6'2", and had no trouble with the bed. My wife slept on the inside, which meant crawling over me to get out. That might be a bother or problem for some, but was not an issue for us.

Plenty of places to stow all our gear.

WiFi worked perfectly and fast. Useful for downloading maps, and making online reservations. I only streamed a couple adverts for places to visit... they did play smoothly. I assume Netflix and similar streaming would work fine.

Only issue for me was the bathroom. The sink faucet is so close to the edge of the basin that it is impossible to get my hands under the water stream without splooshing water out of the sink. Also, the mirror is so low that I needed to be on my knees to put on contacts and shave. Perhaps a tall mirror on the door would help. The highest shelves in the bathroom cabinet need to be cleaned... covered in dust. Have the cleaner use a step-stool and she will see it.

Otherwise, everything was very clean, especially linens and towels, floors, kitchen.

I will stay here again next time we visit London.

The flat was perfect for my husband and me. It was clean, had all the necessities, was cheerful and bright, and could not have been in a better location. Petra was a good communicator and great to work with. Thank you for a fantastic stay in a lovely part of London!
