Prestige apartment in one of Kensington's finest streets

Our apartment is located in one of the finest streets of Kensington, within easy walking distance of Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill and Portobello market.

In the spring, the cherry blossom trees are amazingly beautiful and you can enjoy them from the balcony whilst sipping a glass of wine and having a few nibbles . Sitting out on the balcony is a great way to unwind after a hard day's site seeing or shopping with much to see and do on your doorstep and a number of Tube stations only a few minutes away.

We have tried to both keep the original features of the apartment ( cornices, fireplace, window shutters ) and create a relaxing, modern feel to the place through our choice of colours, furniture and pictures. TV, Wifi, and a selection of books, CDs and DVDs will hopefully also help you relax and unwind in the evening.

The main bedroom has a large double bed which can be converted into two single beds if required. A comfortable sofa bed in the lounge can be quickly prepared and the apartment can therefore accommodate four people without difficulty.

We were a family of three, two adults and our 11-year-old son. This flat was perfect for us, and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So much within easy walking distance: Kensington Gardens, two tube stops (Kensington High Street and Notting Hill Gate), lots of fun pubs, shops, cafes, restaurants. The flat itself was lovely as well, bright and really nice decor. Just as it is pictured and described in the listing. We were amazed at how well-equipped it was, especially the kitchen. We were so sad that the weather did not really permit use of the table and chairs on the terrace. The owner, who met us at the flat on our arrival, was lovely, and she was so patient when it took us longer to get there than we had anticipated. Although the flat was spotless, I did notice some peeling paint, but learned on our last day that there had been a recent flood and the flat was due to be repainted on our departure. The only suggestion I would make would be to include some better instructions on how to work the washer/dryer, which was not intuitive to this clueless American, and made it difficult to get our laundry washed and dried in time for our departure. A small quibble though -- we would gladly stay here again, and our only regret was that we did not stay for longer.

Stunning one bedroom. Location and area superb!

We are a family of four (children 15 and 12) from Vancouver, Canada and this one bedroom apartment was absolutely perfect for us. The apartment itself is stunning, very clean and quiet. The beds ( including the queen size sofa bed) where VERY comfortable, the kitchen is superbly stocked and they even had a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge for us. The location of this apartment is probably in one of the most desirable and charming areas in London. We always felt safe, the tube is just around the corner and walking to many attractions was also very easy. The area the apartment is in has many wonderful little shops, restaurants and grocery stores for you to enjoy. On Saturday mornings ( Approximately 15 to 20 minutes walk) is the Portobello Market. It's a wonderful street market with many things to see and a wide variety of food venders. The owners, Gerard and Patricia are very accommodating and easy to work with. They use a professional driving service "London Perfect" to pick clients up at the airport who are very polite. I definitely recommend them as the fair is a flat rate and London traffic during the best of times is very very busy and you may just pay more with a taxi. Just be sure to inform them well ahead if you have a lot of luggage as we where a bit squished. ;). The owners also took the time to put together an information booklet. We found it very helpful and full of great ideas. We would definitely stay at the apartment again and have already recommended it to some of our friends. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of staying at Gerard and Patricia's apartment again in the near future. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Cheers!

Excellent location

As this is newly listed, just wanted to add a review about the location, even before I stay. Having lived on the next street over I can say this is one of the safest, most convenient neighborboods you could find anywhere in central London. Also, in my corresponding with the owners I have found them to be extremely prompt in their responses, very professional and very helpful. Kensington High Street tube stop and Nottinghill tube are both super close. The bus routes that run by here are perfect for access to any tourist location as well. Plus the proximity to antique shops, rare book shops, Whole Foods, boutiques, Kensington Palace and Holland Park make it easy to just spend a lazy day in the neighborhood.

We decided to buy this property because we always liked the street and thought that it would be an ideal base for us should we ever decide to move out of London . As things turned out, we are still living in London , not far from Brunswick Gardens , which means we are well-placed to ensure that your stay is enjoyable and problem-free.

Nearest Barpub : The Churchill Arms at 200 Metres Nearest Golf : at 10 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Kensington Place at 200 Metres Car: not necessary

Our apartment is located in one of the streets running parallel to Kensington Palace. You will be there in minutes. Ideal if you like going running in the morning as Kensington Gardens are just around the corner.

In addition, the property is only 10 minutes walk away from Portobello Market. You will love going there on Saturday morning to try and find the perfect little piece of antique to take home with you or shop for fruit and veg. for lunch or dinner any day of the week.
