This single storey holiday cottage is approached from the open courtyard through its own fenced garden and a porch and hall.

A cosy double-aspect sitting/dining room has a comfortable suite and an attractive natural stone fireplace incorporating a wood burning stove. Sliding doors lead to a lovely bright South-facing conservatory and enclosed paved terrace with views over adjoining Cornish farmland.

The bathroom has an instantaneous electric shower above the bath, shaver point and heated towel rail.

Off the hall is a pleasant fully fitted kitchen with pine cupboards and equipped with electric oven/ ceramic hob, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

The pretty master bedroom has a double bed and a second colour television set and space for an optional child’s divan or cot. The second bedroom has one 3ft and one 2ft 6ins bed. Bed linen is included in the rental and beds will be made up in readiness for your arrival.

French doors lead to a spacious Victorian style conservatory/dining room with doors opening out to the enclosed private garden with terrace, lawn and shrubs and unspoilt views to the West and the Atlantic Ocean.

On the ground floor off the hall there is a cloakroom/W.C. and a lovely double bedroom with en suite shower room.

Upstairs are two further bedrooms with distant views to Trevose Head, each attractively furnished with twin beds. Bed linen is included and beds will be made up in readiness for your arrival.

Lower Mill Sleeps 2 (1 Bedroom)

To the right of the courtyard and tucked in the corner can be found this light and airy stone cottage, which has a shady outside sitting area.

Enter through the entrance porch and hall to the sitting/dining room, which has a comfortable bed settee for alternative sleeping. There are views to the West and the Atlantic coast in the distance. From the sitting/dining room there is access through a decorative archway to the well-fitted pine kitchen, equipped with electric oven/hob, fridge/freezer and microwave.

Off the hall is a spacious bathroom with an instantaneous electric shower over the bath, a shaver point and heated towel rail.

There is an extremely pretty bedroom with a double bed, bedside lighting, a fitted pine wardrobe and ample space for a cot. Bed linen is included in the rental and the bed will be made up in readiness for your arrival.

Important notes on accommodation

The cottages are maintained and managed to a high standard by the owners and have been tastefully furnished with pine fittings, comfortable suites, digital colour TV sets, PVR’s and DVD’s, and fitted carpets (except kitchens and bathrooms). They have the benefit of double glazing, insulations and air ventilation systems, and heating is provided by electric night storage heaters or convector in every room to ensure comfortable self-catering accommodation all year. The bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, bedside lighting and good quality beds with feather pillows, mattress and pillow protectors, duvets and spare blankets. Bed linen is included in the rental (excluding cot linen).

Our additional facilities include a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer, and each cottage has a steam iron, ironing board, clothes line and garden furniture. There is ample secure storage for bicycles, surf boards, roof racks and travelling equipment and we also provide re-cycling facilities.

Gorgeous cottage in lovely grounds - very convenient location

Well Cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with a sunny dining room/conservatory and a beautiful secluded garden which looked out over fields of ripening corn with a view down to the sea - a great place to start the day.

Richard, the owner, was there to welcome us, and very helpful with any questions we had.

The cottage is well-equipped - better than many we've stayed in. There's plenty of parking space and free (but slow) wi-fi. It's in a brilliant location for doing the Camel Trail cycle ride from Padstow to Bodmin and back (recommended), for trying out one of Rick Stein's restaurants (also recommended) and for the gorgeous beaches and surf around Harland Bay. It's great too if you are going to Boardmasters but want quiet, clean comfort to come back to at night!

A wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Owner's Response: We appreciate the complimentary comments and the information included for the benefit of other guests. Internet access with wifi has now become paramount and we have separate wifi access points for each cottage, providing a 5 bar wifi signal strength. We have the best BT Business broadband available to us, but this is slow compared to fibre, which is not available in our rural location.
