Apartment Les Amethystes is part of a smart chalet style development in an area of Les Houches called St Antoine.

This homely apartment is newly built and fitted out to a very high standard. Its location is ideal for a family ski holiday on the slopes of Les Houches or a summer alpine retreat.

It has a bunk room and a family bathroom downstairs with a modern open plan kitchen, living room and dining room opening onto a large, sunny balcony.

There is a wood burning stove & modern entertainment; satellite TV, Play Station with games, Wifi & more.

The first floor comprises a double bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom and separate WC. Facilities include washing machine, microwave, dishwasher, full sized oven with electric hobs

It is situated just off the main street, Avenue des Alpages, close to the new Marche U Supermarket and the bars and restaurants of St Antoine. It is right by the Les Granges bus stop, giving easy and frequent access to all the pistes of the Chamonix Valley.

Chamonix: Chamonix has all the facilities of a town; with a great variety of shops, restaurants and bars, cinema, museums, sports centre, ice-skating, tennis, squash, swimming pools and a very good 18 hole golf course.

There are fabulous walking and running trails all over the valley, some are world famous and every year Chamonix hosts the ultimate 'Ultra Trail' covering over 154km in August. For hikers this trail is known as Le Tour du Mont Blanc (5+ day walking trip).

The climbing is spectacular with the highlight being the annual Climbing World Championships in July. Mountain biking is very popular for both cross-country and down-hilling trails and the golf course in Chamonix is of a very high standard with excellent facilities. During the summer the alpine rivers swell from the mountain snow and the white water activities really come into their own.

Summer in Chamonix: When the snow has melted, Chamonix still has plenty of activities to offer, from mountaineering to white water rafting as well as more general sports and leisure activities such as tennis and squash, horse riding, bowling, swimming and fitness. The car-free centre of town is full of atmosphere and very cosmopolitan, with cobbled streets and squares, beautiful old buildings built around a fast-running glacial river. The atmosphere is lively and bustling with a good variety of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. For trekking and hiking, the Chamonix valley has the most comprehensive and clearly indicated network of mountain paths in the Haute-Savoie. There are over 350km of marked paths along the valley leading up to the glaciers. Chamonix has a wealth of mountain biking opportunities for all ages and abilities. All the cable car systems run in the summer, giving opportunities for down hilling as well as numerous cross-country trails up and down the valley.

Apres Ski: Chamonix's reputation as one of the liveliest after ski resorts in the Alps is justly deserved. With numerous bars, and even its own micro-brewery, you will find somewhere to cover every taste. Live music kicks off around 4pm in several venues, notably Chambre Neuf, MBC and South Bar, most days in the winter, but there are plenty of quiet and cosy meeting spots for a vin chaud and a chat. As the early evenings pass into night-time, you can carry on partying until 4am or later in several nightclubs around town. On several nights of the year, all night licences mean you are likely to still be out at sunrise, especially during the summer months.

Many bars offer great food menus, but there is a huge selection of excellent restaurants as well, up to the Michelin-starred Albert Premier. Whether traditional French, Savoyarde, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Korean or just modern cuisine, Chamonix has it all.

If you book with us you will be met on arrival by our Concierge Partners. They will be on hand in case of emergencies. Normal check in is between 4pm and 8pm, and check out on departure by 10am.

Guests to be met at the property and to receive a Welcome Pack provided by our in resort by our concierge partners Chamserve A representative of Chamserve will be available in Chamonix to answer any questions you may have regarding the accommodation, the resort, where to eat, etc. Also they will help you with any unfortunate emergencies that may arise personally or with your accommodation. We are also able to help you pre-order and purchase ski lift passes, equipment hire, lessons and guides as well as arrange transfers for you. On arrival you can choose from a 'luxury' hamper to a 'bare essentials'. If you arrive late and want milk, bread etc on hand, again we can ensure this is in place when you arrive.

The apartment is available for weekly rentals. Our standard period of rental is 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday although we will consider other dates and lengths of stay.

Your booking is confirmed with payment of 25% first instalment to be completed within 7 days of reservation or full payment if the booking is made within 10 weeks prior to arrival.
Your final payment of 75% payable no later than 8 weeks PRIOR to arrival.

Payments can be made by bank transfer, cheque, debit or credit card. Payments made by debit or credit card incur 0.00% handling fee. Any charges levied by Chamonix Holidays bank for foreign transfers or cheque payments are at the cost to the group.
A cautionary damage deposit is required.

You will be met on arrival in resort by our concierge partners. They will be on hand in case of emergencies.

Unless otherwise agreed; Normal check in is between 4pm and 8pm, and you are expected to vacate the property by 10am on the morning of your departure leaving it in a clean condition.

Manager's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
