Accommodation and facilities: The Farmhouse has six double or twin bedrooms and a bunk room, all with en-suites. From the first floor living area, French doors open onto a large terrace with spectacular views of the Aiguille du Midi – Europe's highest cable car with stunning views of the Alps. The chalet boasts an indoor sauna on the mezzanine level, two living rooms, a first floor kitchenette and a fully equipped ground floor kitchen. Guests have access to wifi, a flat screen television and a DVD player. There is also an array of books, games, films and magazines for your indoor entertainment. Outside there is a large hot tub with breath-taking views across the valley. There is also a locked and heated boot room and private parking for up to three cars.

About Laura Dale

The Farmhouse has been a labour of love ever since my parents' bought it in 2002. It has been sympathetically renovated over the years and it is now a spacious and cosy chalet. It has been let out as a chalet for more than ten years and it has remained a family business, with my brother and sister in law running it and then my husband and I.

A wonderful stay.

This is a great chalet and worked almost perfectly for our party of four families with children. There are two reception rooms with one ideal for a kids cinema room, we found. the chalet is clean and well equipped; the service from the owner and the local managers was faultless. The only only improvement we could suggest is an upgrade to the ground floor kitchen which is the one that adjoins the dining room. it's not quite big enough to cater for a large group and to use the lower ground floor kitchen has obvious draw-backs. Don't let this put you off. it was a minor niggle. Best to get a car (there are three parking bays) if you've got kids in lessons as they start from the main lift which is a long walk or a three stops on the bus. The bus is regular but rounding up children to work to a timetable in the morning was more than we were prepared to take on. The local lift is walkable as is the supermarket - just. Have fun.

Excellent chalet

Perfect for our large family get together. It worked for us all from a 4 month old to a 95 year old. Good position near enough to walk to the supermarket, the patisserie, restaurants, the cable car and the bus stop. Plus the hot tub was a big hit. Also the bedlinen and towels were very high quality and were wonderful, especially appreciated by the older members of the group. The only things missing were extra black bags and cleaning clothes both of which are cheap but helpful to keeping the chalet clean!
